Yaholo hated the idea of it. It didn't seem right to do this when the boys had only been under his care for a little over a month. Still, he needed to get some food shopping done and the ingredients he needed for tonight's meal back at home were usually located in the more...Dark parts of town where most of the thieves and crooks were located. He couldn't risk losing Seto or Mokuba while shopping because it could mean one or both getting kidnapped. He barely had enough time that day to choose a place where he could be sure the brothers would be safe and well taken care of before Ozzie started ranting about how they were out of three different spices that were so "desperately" needed for the recipe.

Now he was standing in a brightly colored room and talking to a bubbly, petite woman who had introduced herself as Becca and was signing some document about allergies and the like. He was going to have to put Seto and Mokuba in day care at this facility until he could gather the supplies. Once the final stroke of ink was on the document Becca took it and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry about a thing sir," She stated, flashing him a grin. "They'll be just fine here with the other children. We were almost ready to start our creative drawing class so they arrived just in time. I assure you they'll be as happy and healthy as they did when you walked them through our door." She glanced down at Seto and Mokuba who were staring back up at this "strange" woman who they were to be left with.

Mokuba was smiling as usual because he knew he'd get to play with a bunch of new kids, which to him meant new friends and a whole lot of fun! He was brimming with excitement...The exact opposite of his elder brother.

Seto was scowling quite unhappily with his small arms crossed over his chest and his eyes glued to the floor. Great, they were being dumped off at a new place, a bright and cheerful place to be exact. Ugh, how he dispised the color scheme of this whole entire building. Nothing but blinding yellows, greens, oranges and anything else you could imagine that was a nauseatingly happy color. Where were the blacks, the whites, the dark blues and other colors the even vaguely reperesented a brooding angst filled environment? Oh how he was going to hate being here. He knew he was going to hate it no matter what anyone told him. He just was and no one could tell him otherwise. Well, maybe his brother but not anyone else. His brother mattered more than anyone else anyway.

Then it was time for Yaholo to leave and Seto and Mokuba's attention was turned towards their "father" for a moment.
"Alright you two," Yaholo stated. "Both of you be good and don't get into any trouble. I'll be back soon to pick you guys up." He gave a quick hug to Mokuba and attempted to give a hug to Seto who only stepped backwards to avoid him. He let out a sigh and gave a wave to them as he walked out of the building.

Becca gently ushered the boys into the play area with a sweet smile on her face just as the day care's phone rang. She rushed off to get it while still remembering to lock the kiddie door so no one could escape into the hallway. Mokuba turned to Seto and gave him a look expressing that of "can I go play big brother?" which was quickly answered by a firm nod of Seto's head. Grinning widely Mokuba was drawn right to the blocks and began stacking them with a giggle.

Seto planted himself a few feet away as he usually did at home and watched his younger sibling with that protective glint he always had in his deep blue eyes. Even though he had sat down near some toys and other normally distracting things for a toddler his eyes remained on his brother at all times just incase something or someone tried to hurt his baby brother.

“Window of opportunity, Connie, window of opportunity” Reed stressed, hands drumming impatiently against the car’s steering wheel.

Gritting her teeth, the young woman fought the urge to smack her partner across the head.

“You could help you know, it wouldn’t kill you” Connie fired back, continuing to unclip and unbuckle the rear child restraints.

“You’re on your own, toots; besides, I’m hardly dressed for such an occasion” Reed replied, gesturing down at his immaculate attire.

Connie rolled her eyes. As much as she hated to admit it, he had a point. Being on the way to a job (having waited months for just the right moment), the young woman was barely recognisable. Her usually choppy blonde hair was hidden beneath a tumble of long dark curls (a wig of course), hazel eyes equally concealed with the help of blue contact lenses. She’d even worn one of Hayden’s tailor-made fat suits, to give her a little more depth and dimension – and it was all in the name of security. After all, career criminals could never be too careful, ever. They’d even gone so far as to separate the children; the twins going to one minding facility, and Jude and Lenore going to another.

“Keep the car running” Connie grumbled, having finally won the battle against the car seats. With Bridget resting against one hip and Amelia on the other, the young woman pushed the door closed with her foot, heading toward the day care facility at a quickened pace.

The inside of the building was garish, all bright colours and over-simplified imagery – Bridget loved it instantly, dual coloured eyes sparkling.

With Amelia clinging tightly to her leg, having been set on the floor, and Bridget struggling for freedom in her arms; Connie signed the last of the paperwork (the details of which were complete fabrications) and handed it back to the smiling assistant. As the girl, Becca was her name, rattled off some speech about how the girls were in safe hands and would have loads of fun (something about ... drawing?), Connie nodded absently, setting Bridget down by her sister and stroking the twins’ hair lovingly.

“Mama will be back soon, okay little ones? So don’t worry, you’ll be fine. There are lots of other children here to play with, so you won’t even notice I’m gone” she said softly, smiling reassuringly at the girls. Giving the twins a quick hug and a kiss upon the forehead, Connie disentangled Amelia’s fingers from around her leg before slipping out the door. With a final wave, the young woman hurried back to waiting car.

Alone. She was all alone. Instantly, tears welled in Amelia’s eyes, the child glancing wildly around at all the new and unfamiliar surroundings. There were so many people, faces she didn’t recognise, and the thought made her dizzy. Numbly, Amelia allowed herself to be lead into the playroom (Bridget bounding ahead); coming to a dead stop as the caretakers left her side. She wasn’t moving, no one single inch, not until her mother came back to get her.

Ignoring her sister, she was quite the stick-in-the-mud after all; Bridget rushed into the toy-filled room. Her eyes darted left and right, her rainbow-furred ears twitching with excitement. Where should she start? Hesitating, the girl finally settled on the blocks; ploughing toward them at full speed. But, there was already someone there, stacking the blocks one on top of the other. Not about to wait for a introduction, Bridget squealed happily, watching the boy for a moment longer before picking up a block and dropping it on the top of his tower. Unfortunately, the unsteady action sent a tremor through the climbing stack, and the blocks quickly collapsed into a dishevelled heap.

“Uh-oh...” the girl exclaimed with some delight, grinning sheepishly down at Mokuba.

Most children of Mokuba's age would've started screaming about their block tower being knocked down, but Mokuba started laughing cheerfully.
"S'okay!" He chirped, grinning at Bridget as he grabbed a block from the pile. "Bwocks suppose'ta fall ova! It part of da fun!" He placed another block on top of the first before gazing up at her again and pointing a small pudgy finger at himself. "I's Mok-oo-baa, Wha's yer name?"

Seto, now only half watching his brother and Bridget, had become slightly bored. His brother looked happy and the girl who had come over to play with him appeared too bright and cheery to be any sort of threat to Mokuba so he really had no reason to worry anymore. His eyes began to wander around the blindingly colored room. Ick, too many colors. Made him sick to his stomach. He had to find somewhere in this room that wasn't filled with color. He stood up, pausing to smooth out his beloved trench coat from the wrinkles it got from him sitting on it, and wandered around aimlessly. Not a single sign of any dark corner or even a blanket to hide under. Great. He was doomed to be blinded by colors.

At that moment Becca pranced back in carrying paints, colored pencils, crayons and mounds of paper in her arms. After setting the supplies down on a table in the middle of the play area she clasped her hands together and grinned. "Okay children, gather 'round the art table!" She exclaimed. "It's time for all of you to be creative!"

Seto stared at Becca with an uninterested look. Creative? Pffft. Who needed creativity? Stupid art. Not like this place needed anymore colors.
