Do forgive me if this isn't the place for this or if there is anything else wrong with this particular post (and feel free to edit the first sentence out if this is met with approval, but I did want to make sure that I made my presence known, given the sound of the announcements.
Our Captains and Crew regularly keep us abreast with guild news, but what are your thoughts? Guild announcements tend to be a one way channel of communication, so feel free to respond to them, here.

Latest Announcement Attention my loves.. This upcoming month is going to be packed with fun events.. so get ready. There will be an announcement about it on the last day of june of the first weeks event schedule. If you aren't going to be able to make it please pm me and let me know. Those that don't drop by and say hi may be in trouble D: so we don't want that. OH.. and the Lol, what? contests are going to be shutting down in a few days.. so if you want any sort of gold.. you'll be the last few posters to get to page 50. Side note: I hope you all are enjoying your summers. and a very happy late a-- birthday for all of our geminis weird.. apparently I can't say A S S in my announcements.. sorry guys.. that word is too grown up for you. So protect your virgin eyes from my word. Oh, good. Events are always fun... At least when there is guild participation. Consider this my "Hello." I wouldn't want to be hit with an inactivity ban, not after the lengths that I took to reinstate myself here. It makes for quite the excellent story, at least if you tell it the right way. Really? Besides.. its a vice and a crews birthday this month.. so they wanted to do something special..

.. gaia is so weird. When I allude to things not working out like contests, I wasn't talking about this guild... Ahem. And yeah. Gaia is many things. There are a lot more negatives than there were in 03, but I guess it's also harder to get bored of, too.

Which is why I made the mascot contest... Which had two entries, one of which was my own. Oh, and the other came without a picture.

This thread, or a mascot contest? On the topic of the thread, I just like the idea of guilds announcements being more two-way conduits of information. After all, no matter what a guild is for, information is at the heart of each. As for the mascot, my guild was around for over three years and I was getting the strong idea that we didn't have any real symbol, so I decided to set to work on righting that. Horrific but funny is always usually good, but what did you mean? For a guild mascot here? Dysfunctional Underwear I haven't been reading guild announcements. I never come across them. sad They need to make them more obvious, or something. You know, when they started this whole "Notice" business, I find that a whole lot fewer people seemed to start responding to my guild announcements. I mean I'm really not having any problems finding them, but I still wish they'd bring back the old way of doing things. For one, everyone else seems to have an easier time of things and for another, I like knowing what the notice is. I like knowing if it's a guild announcement or something else and dammit, just because I have something on my wish list doesn't mean that I want constant updates on its price and stop sending me a PM and a notice when I sell something! scream
