 Asyriel picked her way through a field - aiming to get under the trees of the forest on the other side. It wasn't that she minded the open air, really. It was simply easier to do such things as lurk when she was under cover of some kind.
And lurking was definitely something that the red-hued female liked to do. There was something amusing in lurking about and then popping up unexpectedly to frighten others. Though, really, it was nothing more than a game for her - she could appear quite threatening when she wanted to...

Shalar walked over the familar field that was flanked on one side by a might forest. As a young colt he had often ventured here with his father and sisters to give their mother a break. Yet now he was the one who found himself in need of such a thing.
Although he loved his sisters dearly and would protect them with all he had -they where too loud for his tastes. Always jumping out on him, pouncing and attacking. As their wings had all started to grow he had lost a lot of feathers through their play and now as he looked back on things he knew he wouldn't change even that. No, he just needed some peace and quiet.
He trotted forward, consumed in thought. It was going to be a beautiful day.

Glancing over, Asyriel spotted a rather strange looking Soquili also crossing that field. What in the world..? His wings were huge, bigger than hers. And they seemed to be some odd mix of feathers and skin. Not to mention the rest of him.
Well. In any case, it seemed that a ready victim was coming right to her! Ducking down a little bit, the mare hurried into the forest and then circled ... aiming to pop out right in front of him.
She waited until she heard hoofbeats just outside the trees and then moved slowly forward, her red eyes staring out from the shadows like some odd nightmarish creature.

Shalar had been contemplating what he was going to take back to his family as a gift when a creature jumped out infront of him and scared the crap out of him -not particular manly but he was at least man enough to not shy away from the fact he was scared for a moment. As the shock began to fade from his face he looked at the creature, a beautiful mare with a red pelt and small feathered black wings. Straps and straps and well more straps that it had Shalar staring at them all wondering what they where for.
"Em.... can I help you?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow in a small effort to recompose his appearance after his earlier suprise.
