The recent kidnappings seems to have affected Equinoxious in a bad way.

Equinoxious goes all emo and mopes in... a clothes shop, because no one has rooms yet. Whatever.
Bored, and deciding our military needs more practice, I send them to go kill those ******** goats that keep not doing anything of interest.

He lops its head of in one swing, holy s**t. It goes careening off the mountain.

This continues until all the goats are dead.
Maybe the goat slaughter cheered them up, I don't know, but Equinoxious finally emerges from the shop. Carrying, um..

Okay. Cute, I guess? Done with the goats, I send the military to kill the elephants.

Either Freezer is enjoying this too much or elephants take a lot of punishment. Gynne joins in the fun and scores some kills, while Roy... doesn't.

Hey look visitors. I bet Risen approves of killing elephants for no reason! We trade and s**t, discuss exports and imports... blah blah. They leave and all is well. I mean ambush, all is ambush.

The leading goblin's first act of terror is to murder a cat. Not my cat, but its still sad. Luckily the military was on their way to kill some elephants, so Freezer and Gynne start mudering the s**t out of the goblins. Roy was really near the elephants and doesn't get any action.

Goblins, cowards as ever, start running back home, but our heroes manage to kill two more as they flee. The soldiers are unarmed, though some war dogs are injured and one is dead. Sadly, two civilians did die.

Ivan, head surgeon, gives me his best guess as to how Meru and Buzz died.

I have some coffins commissioned to house the dead, and the fort has a moment of-

Ah ********. I quickly sound the alarm, and Roy and Gynne jump into combat with goblins that had made it past the fort's doors. Freezer is sleeping, not even five feet away. ******** useless lazy soldiers. Roy... is quickly knocked unconscious, and remains that way for the remainder of the battle.

Notably, Roy has zero kills. This leaves only one capable soldier, Gynne. After killing the invaders inside the fort, she jumps into the large group of them and starts hacking off body parts. A dwarvern dervish of death and destruction, Gynne breaks the ambush all by herself, and the goblins run home crying. This time Gynne has suffered injuries, though.

As have Roy and Mea, an innocent bystander. Mea and Gynne's injuries aren't too serious, and the doctors send them on their way. Roy, however, has a seriously broken hand and a fractured skull. He's going to need surgery.

Ivan and Articuno get to work on it. Eventually Roy is mostly fixed.
