Welcome Ravenclaws!
Here is our Common Room. This is the place where we talk about
everything about Ravenclaw. Role-play and learn the history of
Rowena Ravenclaw. Post around the Common Room, create House
Games and make friends. This is YOUR common room so do
whatever you want with it.

House Information
RAVENCLAW COMMON ROOM
The Ravenclaw Tower is located on the west side of Hogwarts,
the staircase leading up to the common room is located on the
fifth floor, and is the location of the Ravenclaw common room
and dormitories. The entrance to the room is at the top of a
spiral staircase, and is a door without doorknob or keyhole but a
bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the
room, a person must answer a question asked by the eagle
knocker; if they answer incorrectly, they must wait for someone
else who gets it right.The Ravenclaw common room is one of
the most airy rooms at Hogwarts. It is a wide, circular room with
a midnight blue carpet, arched windows hung with blue and soft,
silks, and a domed ceiling painted with stars. During the day,
the Ravenclaw students have an excellent view of the
surrounding mountains. The room is furnished with tables, chairs,
and bookcases; and by the door leading up to the dormitories,
there is a tall statue of Rowena Ravenclaw made of white
marble.
ROWENA RAVENCLAW
Rowena Ravenclaw devised the ever-changing, moving
staircases in the Hogwarts Castle. She was particularly close to
Helga Hufflepuff; their friendship is used as a foil to the failed
friendship between Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin. As
with the other founders, she is the namesake of one of
Hogwarts' four houses.
Ravenclaw is described by the Sorting Hat as having selected
students according to intelligence and wisdom. Ravenclaw
house thus values a sharp mind, wisdom, creativity, and
cleverness in its members. Thus, rather than asking for a
password from members, a bronze eagle door knocker asks them
a riddle which, if answered incorrectly, would force the student
to wait until another could answer the question correctly,
allowing the failed student to learn.
The question for you, young Ravenclaw, is "If a Rooster laid a
brown egg and a white egg, what would hatch from those eggs?"
