Cobra

"Are you sure we should be taking the children out so early? They have JUST been born, shouldn't we leave them inside Raven's place for a little longer?" Eclipse asked the woman who had used some sort of voodoo magic on him and basically made him have children with her which he was against, but oh no, she says a few words and now he is a father to four children. How did it come to this? He was fine with just being 'father' to Priscilla, the cobra he has had since her first arrived on this earth over several hundred years ago, of course, Eclipse loved his children, how couldn't he? They were adorable but still he would of rather had them with someone who he truely loved, not because of some magic spell Voodoo cast.

"Of course, you don't care about me do you? No need to worry if I will be alright or not" Voodoo said as she ushered the children out the door and into the night "and they are wrapped up warm, they will be fine few an hour or so, if need be we have shealter, my 'summer home', so to speak, is near where we are going so don't worry".

"Fine, I guess I can handle that" Eclipse said and rolled his eyes "remember it WAS you who made me a father in the first place, I am sure you can make sure you are all right or not concidering..."

"Daddy...mommy..." a small voice spoke up "why do we have to come out? I am tired and hungry, I want to go to have something to eat and then go to bed" she said, not wanting to be up let alone out in the night air even if her parents had wrapped them up warm.

"You will get used to it my darling Mal" Voodoo said as she looked back and smiled at her daughter as she shut the door behind them all "we are going to get dinner now" she said, wondering when her children will start getting their powers, she and Eclipse were just made this so she wasn't 100% sure how long it took those who were born this way to become aware of their powers.

Eclipse and the others started to walk towards the portal Raven had set up that would take them instantly to the bottom of the highest point in Nightmare Valley, on the way he walked over and whispered into his daughters ear "your mother just wants to show off how awsome she thinks her skills are at catching dinner" he said smiling at his daughter and then looked at Voodoo.

"I heard that!" She said glearing at Eclipse.

"You were meant to" Eclipse said smirking at her a little.

"What I want to know is why I have this" he said pointing at the bon sticking out of his leg "that doesn't seem...right..."

"Well, concidering your mother is part zombie, it is normal" he said as he smiled at Fate.

Chalice had been keeping to the side of her mother, the reason she wasn't around her father was simple, that snake slithering beside them was horrible! It was all scaley and gross and scary and...well...if what Aunt Eternity has said about them, they are deadly as well, she didn't want to die, it was best she just stayed away from daddys pet.

Eclipse turned his attention to Cobra "Cobra, are you alright?" He asked, wanting t9o make sure all his children were alright with comming out so early, if not, he would be happy to take those who wanted to REALLY go back back home, so far his other three children didn't truely seem to mind so now it was just making sure Cobra was alright as well.

"Thats good to hear" Eclipse said noticing his sons gaze at Priscilla "and no, don't even think about it, she is not for eating...granted, I doubt she would taste good anyway, she was once dead, only to be brought back to life by my creator when I came to this earth over several hundred years ago, I love her but she is deffinatly not for eating.

Priscilla moved closer to Eclipse, if there was one pony she had always trusted it was Eclipse, she may grow to trust the children but that was left to be seen and after having one think of her as dinner...well, needless to say she wasn't too trusting of him right now.

"How long till we get to wherever it is we are going?" Mel asked, stopping near some glowy purple portal on the ground, having seen her mother stop there moments before.

Voodoo sighed "alright, wait here" she said as she ran backtowards the house, opening the door and running to the nearest magic user she could find "Raven!" She, can you do me a favor? Can you teleport my children, Eclipse and I to Dream Valley, we have dinner we need to catch" she said, hoping Shadow would help.

"Sure" Raven said as she conjured up a pendent that had a pentagram on it and placed it around her neck "that is for when you care to come home, think of the place you want to go and it will take you there but it will only happen once, just touch it and it will activate it" she said as she walked back out to the portal with Voodoo.

"Right guys, we have the means, lets go get something to eat" she said as she nodded at Raven.

Raven mumbled a spell and projected a yellow light around them all and then made them all dissapear, having them appear moments latter outside of Dream Valley.

"There, that was easy, now for dinner it is time to hunt..." she said as she walked into familure grounds, at night, the ponys who cared to be out and about with boyfriends or girlfriends or mates, even on a cold night, was high, so many ponys who thought it was 'romantic' came out to play and this was perfect timing for them to feed.

"Come children, time for you to taste your first first drop of blood..." Eclipse said as he ushered them into Dream Valley "your mother and I will catch your dinner till you are able to" he said as he looked at Voodoo who was now smirking a little at a couple near by who had their back to them. The two were lost in thought, looking up at the stars "this pair will be perfect for us, the children can feed on them, we can catch another two later, lets just get them fed first" she said as she backed into the shadows a little.

"...Blood?" Chalice said with slight disgust, all she knew was that it was part of what makes up the body but does she REALLY have to drink it!? It didn't sound all that appitizng.

"It is alright darling, it may not seem nice but it is delicious, you will get used to it" he said as he lent over and nuzzled his daughter "your mother and I will go get you dinner" he said as he looked at Voodoo "you take the man and I will take the woman" he said as he snuck around to the opposite side, ready to pounce at Voodoo's signal.

Chalice sat there, next to her sister and brothers and watched, wanting to look away, knowing that the outcome of this wasn't going to be pretty but she couldn't look away, something inside of her made her want to watch.

Voodoo and Eclipse pounced at the same time, bearing fangs as they surprised the unexpecting couple, both grabing the two and peiricing the side of their necks at the same time before they could react, drinking a little to make the two fall unconsious and then pulled away and licked their fangs "I want more!" Eclipse softly moaned, he was starving.

"Well too bad, this is the childrens dinner" she said as she pulled the two ponys back to towards their children and dropped them at their feet "since this is your first time, I think its best we drain them, it will be easier for you to drink" Voodoo said as she gestured Eclipse over and took a small machine out of the bag and placed it over the the fang marks of one pony. After that was done she then took four specially made sippy cups out of the bag Eclipse was wearing around his neck and started draining the pony, pouring some blood into two of the cups before doing the same to the other pony and draining the other into the other two sippy cups.

Eclipse turned the machine off and placed the lids on the cups and handed one each to the children "this is dinner, as I said, it seems gross but I swear, it is nice, you will like it" he said as he looked down at the blood, dying to have it himself but knew it was best to feed the children first.

Chalice, Fate and Mal looked down at the cups and back at their father and mother, unsure what to make of this, from what they had heard this was normal, this is what vampires ate, but...did THEY have to have it?

Chalice picked up the cup and took a sip, hating the taste at first but then realising that it wasn't actually that bad after drinking a bit more of it "it...it isn't actually that bad once you get used to it, it is actually rather nice" she said, as gross it sounded but still drank more.

Mal and Fate followed their sister, taking a little sip and then bigger ones once they were used to the taste, realising their sister was right, it was nice.

"Tomorrow possibly darling" Voodoo said as the others finished up "you all full?" She asked, deciding to check before going back to Ravens house...or hers, depending on what the children wanted to do "and where do you want to go? My house or back to Ravens?" She asked, knowing that either way they would be home in an instant but she also knew that her house was quieter so it was up to the kids where they wished to go.

Chalise, Mel and Fate nodded as they finished up and put their cups down and yawned.

"Alright, then I guess it is time for us to go home" he said as he put the stuff away in the bag and looked at the kids "hoime now I guess, at night, you will learn to stay up fully through it, we vampires get up at night and sleep during the day, however, since I am a...er...'special kind' of vampire I can walk during daylight hours as well. Only two beings know how to...'get rid of me' so to speak and so I can survive during the day, you may be able to do that also however your mother can not, she has to sleep during the day so depending on who you take after is how your sleeping pattern will be, time will tell I guess at who will take after who.

"Can we got to your place mommy?" Mel asked her mother, thinking that since it was closer then it would mean faster to bed.

Fate and Chalice nodded with their sister "I would rather go there as well, its closer and I just want to "go to bed" Fate said as he yawned.

"And you my darling?" Voodoo said smiling at Cobra "what would you like to do?"

Alright, my place it is, Renfeild should be there tending to the place anyway" she said, thinking of the servent there who does everything for her, loyal sod he is, she picks on him so much and still he remais...oh well, more fun for her "just stay still" she said as she got closer to her children, keeping them all close as possible and gestured for Eclipse to come closer before touching the pendent around her neck and thinking of her place. In a few moments a light surrounded them and instantly took them to the front step of her place, a large three story victoirian gothic home that was deep in the woods on the out skirts of dream valley "we are home my darlings" she said as she opened the door and noticed Renfeild sitting down on her favorite chair, blood starting to boil inside of her as Renfeild got up quickly and stood there as if nothing happened.

"Eclipse, take the children up to the second floor nursery, Renfeild and I have something to talk about" she said in a calm tone though obviously trying to keep her temper from being shown in front of the children "I shall be up in a minute my darlings to say goodnight to you" she said as she started walking over to Renfeild who had now gotten up and started backing away towards the library, Voodoo knew he knew he wasn't going to like this 'chat' but hey, if he wanted to sit in her favorite chair then he has to pay the price.

Eclipse nodded and looked at the children "Come on darlings, I will take you up the stairs one at a time" he said as he let Voodoo go into thelibrary and shut the door after her and Renfeild "unless you two want to try walking up by yourselves" he asked them, taking a good look around the place since he hade never been here before and given the look of this place with all its original fixtures and what not, no wonder she liked this place.

"I will try by myself daddy" Chalice said, her brother and sister agreeing with her though they all looked up the stairs and wondered if that was a good thing to say, it was a rather huge staircase and a rather big one at that.

"Alright, I will be behind you if you need help" he said as he looked at Cobra "and you will do the same?" Eclipse asked his son.

Eclipse had reached out to grab his son once he stumbled, not wanting the foal to hurt himself and watcdhed the others tentivly take their first steps also after their brother "you guys sure you don't want help?" He asked, knowing that carrying them one at a time up the stairs would be better then this.

Mel stopped and nodded "daddy, I want to be carried up" she said, having seen her brother try and nearly fall and she wasn't about to let that happen to herself.

Eclipse nodded and looked at his opther children "be careful" he said as he walked downto the bottom, laid down and let his daughter climjb up onto his back, when she was safe on there he got up and started up the stairs, carefully passing his other children and reached the top , laying down, he let her climb off his back.

"Thank you daddy!" She said as she nuzzled him and looked down at her siblings "just do it my way guys, its faster" she said, knowing that her siblings wanted to do it themselves but still, their way they could be there all night.

Eclipse walked back down and stood behind his other children and decided to let them decide what to do.

Voodoo walked back out moments later and looked at the stairs "my darlings, are you needing help?" She asked, a smile on her face as she gave Priscilla a doll as she passed "Priscilla, be a dear and go help Renfeild, just don't poison him" she said, having not made any cobra venom cure in a while and didn't want to make any till the morning at least, if she had to that is.

Priscilla took the doll in her mouth, hearing screams from the library as Priscilla's fangs went slightly into the doll, knowing she was going to have fun for a bit.

"Just make sure he learns, Priscilla, you can torture a little but just no out right major harming" she said, knowing Priscilla would do a good job as she slithered towards the library and Voo looked back at her children "alright, who wants to be carried upstairs?" She asked, having wondered if Eclipse had offeredor not.

"You spoil that snake" Eclipse said smiling at Voodoo "and yes, I have asked but they want to do it themselves so..."

Fate looked up at his mother and back at the stairs then back at his mother "I will have a lift up the stairs" he said, carefully climbing back down the two steps he had climbed.

Voo nodded and laid on the ground, waiting for her son to climb up she then stoood and took him upstairs and placed him next to his sister "anyone else?"

Chalice REALLY wanted to do it by herself, she took another couple of stepps but missed her footing on one and fell back, being caught instantly by her father "thank you daddy" she said as she got back up right and shook her head "I...I want to do this but I think I might wait for a bit" she said as she climbed back down to the ground "can you please take me up daddy?" She asked, watching him nod, come back down and lay on the ground. "Thank you daddy" she said climbing up onto his b ack and was carried upstairs, placed besides her siblings once she was up there and looked back Down at Cobra '" come on Cobra, just leave it for tonight, maybe we could practice climbing up the stairs tomorrow" she called down to him, it would be quicker for them to get to bed since she knew they were all so tired.

Voo walked down the stairs and nuzzled Cobra "I knows you will my darling, you all will, it will just take a matter of time and practice" she said as she laid down next to her son "climb up darling, tomorrow we will see about how to go about teaching you a few vampire things" she said a little uncertain, Voodoo had never taught anyone how to be a vampire before let alone her own children so this was going to be rather interesting to say the least.

"Daddy" Mel said looking up at her father "how can mommy teach us how to be a vampire tomorrow if she can't walk in sunlight?"

"Mommy takes a special potion drink Raven has made for her, she doesn't use it all the time, she loves being able to sleep during the day but sometimes, when she really needs to, she will take it and is able to then walk in sunlight."

"Oh...then what about you? Why can you walk in sunlight? Do you take the potion also?"

"I do not, I have been, in a way, 'made' differently then alot of other vampires around this place, I can be like any other pony normal around here because of my genetic make up, my creator wanted me to be this way because it would be alot easier to look around this world to see if it was alright for being taken over but this was over two hundred years ago at least."

"Two hundred years ago!?!" Chalice and Fang said at the same time.

"Yes, but thats in the past, I don't think my creator is rather happy with me since I went on to take over another dimention...oh well, I will try and make it up to him later, it is now time for you three to go to bed" he said as he huzzled his children.

"Awww I want to hear more!" Fate said, pouting alittle

"maybe tomorrow, bed now" he said waiting for his other son and Voo.

"Chalice sighed "alright, bed then, but tomorrow I want to hear more as well!" Chalice said as she turned around and looked down the hall "which room is ours?" She asked, assuming they were all going to be sleeping together in the nursary or whatever.

"I am not sure, you will have to wait for your mother, her house after all, this is the first time I have actually been here."

"It is the door on the right, second from the stairs" Voo called up.

"Thank you" Eclipse called down as he started to usher his kids towards the nursery.

"I don't know..." Eclipse said, half teasing them, not minding if he told them but also did mind since the story was a tad grusome in places, not suitable for children, draining someones blood and letting them see is one thing but hearing how he has torn people apart literally and enjoying their screams, at least, is something else, something he wasn't sure would be suitable for his children to hear yet.

"Eclipse, stop teasing the children" Voodoo said as she made her way upstairs once she knew her son was on safetly "it wouldn't be too bad for them to know would it?" She asked as she reached the top and laid down next to her other children and let her son climb off.

"Please daddy?" Chalice asked, wanting to know the story also.

"Alright, I will tell you guys but it won't be the adult version, I will tell you the clean version, one day you may know the the adult version but not yet" he said as he as he walked over to the nursery and pushed open the door, walking in he saw the master bedroom sized room was decked out in typical victorian gothic style, right down to the smallest fixtures. Eclipse looked around, wondering what it would take to get Voodoo to say yes for him to move in here, he and Voo never did get alone but since they now had children she would want him to stay and help her right? He was dying to check this place out and as much as it was horrible using the children like this, it was a perfect way of getting what he wanted and right now it was to have the fun of checking this place out...well besides tending to the children of course.

Chalice grinned as she followed her father and walked in behind him, looking at the four victorian gothic styled cribs "I guess we sleep in these?" She asked, looking at the cribs.

Yes, you do, one each, it won't be for long darlings, we will get you your own rooms once you grow up a bit more" Eclipse said as he walked over and pulled the blankets back and then reached down and picked up his daughter, kissing her forehead and placed her in the crib.

Chalice laid down and snuggled down into her bed and smiled up at her father "thank you daddy" she said as he pulled the blankets over her.

"Youre welcome darling" Eclipse said as he walked over and pulled the blankets back for the other three as well before starting to put a bit more wood onto the fire that was in the nursery, nearly having died out, he wasn't about to have his children go cold.

Fate and Mel walked in moments later, sittind down by the fire "daddy, where are we sleeping?" Mel asked her father.

"Come here darlings" he said gesturing them over, standing beside one crib he bent down and picked Fate up, kissing his forehead and placed him into a crib opposite his sisters and waited for him to lay down before pulling the blankets over him and then moved to the next crib and did the same for Mel "right, you three are in bed, now its just your brother" he said as he waited for the other.
