Destiny City was still pretty quiet.
It was in the evening, and the sun was disappearing over the horizon. Still, the streets weren't as busy as they were before. Everyone still seemed pretty wary even though the quarantine had been lifted. Especially with the reports of monsters, or better known as youma to the powered community. It was hard on everyone, and also extremely boring. Classes still did not resume since there were students in each year missing due to their presence in the hospitals. There seemed to be nothing to do. Nothing, except to patrol.
The Super Senshi was out and about, taking a leisurely stroll, keeping an eye and a ear out for any roaming youma about. There were no screams, no signs of struggle, and Flora sighed, taking a seat in a nearby playground's swing. There were no kids about; parents were much more careful with their children with the situation at hand.
She wondered idly what her parents would think if they knew she was out and not in the 'safety' of the Crystal Academy dorms. She wasn't even sure if there was a place safe enough in their city anymore.

Patrols had been particularly stressful lately. Young people trashing stores, reports of monsters, a chunk of the force missing due to sudden onset of coma. It was in that situation that Kaden found himself in his cop car, patrolling alone. Parks where always particularly creepy at night, seeing that they tended to be dark, and make odd noises. Nevertheless, that was the route he had been assigned and he would do it. He parked his car in the parking lot, making sure to click the doors locked after leaving. Normally he would leave it open, but for some reason he felt it would be better locked. Less chance of being stolen (that was the last thing that Kaden needed, was the Chief on his tail about a stolen car). In the dusk, he could make out someone in the park. Kaden approached quickly, flashlight drawn. Once close enough, he pointed it at the girl, trying to get a good look. That was quite the outfit she was wearing! It was filled with bows, lace, and flowers. It was about the girliest thing that Kaden had ever seen, and it even came with a matching tiara. The funny thing about it, however, was the age of the girl in question. She had to be a teenager, certainly not the little girl you would be expecting to wear such a thing. "Don't you know its past curfew for being out, Miss?"

A bright light landed on her and Flora squinted, holding up her arm to shield it away so she could see properly, springing up from her seat as she did so. The swing seat swayed back and forth behind her from the sudden movement but did not touch her. Having a little swing was the least of her concerns right now, however.
That outfit meant police officer, and for a moment, Flora was like a deer in the spotlights, transfixed, as she recalled that very day. The day her life changed and was why because she was in this very outfit right now. It was something every one of them in this war would remember; how and when they had been recruited to fight. Why the events of that very day was flashing through her memory right now was because even after successfully destroying the youma, there had been cops pointing guns at them. At her.
It was hard to blame them for doing so; they all thought both the senshi and negaverse were terrorists. It was still pretty scary and haunted her thoughts.
All he was pointing at her now, however, was just a flashlight. Still, Flora was tense as she stared at him through half-closed eyelids. "These days, I don't have a curfew."
Then there was a pause. "Do you know who I am?"

Every cop instinct screamed that she was being incredibly fishy. She was avoiding his questions, looked jumpy, and wasn't acting in general how a teenage girl should behave. Kaden shoved her firmly in his 'strange cosplayers/japanese wannabe's' box and left her there with every other cosplayer, lolita, and wapanese person he'd ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her last question particularly got to him though. Was she famous or something? Kaden was about the farthest thing from media-savvy as you could get. He hadn't even known what a zombie was until the little punk kid at the arcade had told him. "Uh, no. Other than too old to not know better than being out past curfew...in whatever you are wearing." He laughed softly, hoping to put her off of her edge. It wasn't ever good to have a jumpy suspect. The older male dropped his flashlight to point at the ground, finding it rude to keep it shining in her face. "I'm Officer Kaden Smith. Who might you be?" On the other side of the playground, a rather large gelatinous blob was squishing around the monkeybars, oozing over everything that it could touch. It left behind a rather large sticky web, like some kind of gelatinous goo spider that had decided its new nest would be a Destiny City Playground.

He didn't seem to realize that she was a senshi, and Flora didn't know if it was a good thing or not. The last time police knew she was, they had pointed their guns at her, and she didn't want to ever relieve that experience ever again. Then again, he was pretty much trying to make her go home, it being out past curfew... couldn't senshi have the ability to just magically disappear or hide in the shadows like ninjas?
"I'm... Flora." It was true, but then again, it wasn't. She decided it would be better for her, and for him too, not to give Officer Smith any more hints as to her real identity. Sure, comic books always had superheroes team up with the police, but that didn't mean they didn't have scrapes with the law as well.
Unbeknownst to them, the goo youma had spotted, or at least, sensed the presence of the super senshi and had started towards them, and with a nasty squicky sound, morphed into the senshi and started towards the pair.

"Flora, right." Kaden noted the name in his mind. The hesitancy in the telling of her name sent up a few red flags in his head, but he'd leave it be for now. "There are strict curfews for everyone not directly dealing with the crisis Flora. Even for the lucky few who grow up without parental curfews." He smiled light halfheartedly in her general direction, trying to make some kind of connection. He hadn't quite fully understood her previous quip about not having a curfew, clearly. "I can escort you home, if you'd prefer." She'd clearly gotten to the park on her own, but it was gentlemanly to ask. She was a cute girl, after all, regardless of costume. The squicking noise registered in the back of his brain, causing him to gland about. Squicking noises didn't normally happen in playgrounds, at least not in playgrounds devoid of children. The young cop turned his flashlight from the ground to the surrounding park, trying to catch a glimpse of whatever was coming. The monster on the other hand was completely unphased by the flashlight being pointed in its direction. It was just another delicious object to be consumed, though the senshi would be first.
