Things had become rather quite lately and it seemed like Akuma hadn't received a mission summons in forever. Was this a sign that the Soul Society was a peace or had the Captain Commander simply forgot about Squad Seven and it's commanding officer. The thought of that alone left Akuma with a sad feeling. "Am I truely useless due to my inexperience in battle...I hope not. Maybe something will happen soon." Akuma thought to himself as he walked along the halls of Squad Seven's Barracks until he reached a set of double doors that lead out into the courtyard. A large fountain sat in the middle of the courtyard with about 20 koi fish of various colors and sizes. Akuma picked up a medium sized can with a lid on it and opened it up reveling some food for the Koi inside. He took out a generous handful of the Koi pellets and threw them inside the fountain. Afterward he closed up the can again and set it down beside the fountain. Akuma sat down in one of the chairs nearby to watch the Koi eat and swim about. Maybe someone would come visit him to relieve his boredom. Not long after Akuma sat down was he interrupted by a messenger with a letter of summons to meet in the Captains Hall for a briefing. "That was fast. Well I better be off..." Akuma thought to himself as he rose from his chair then he locked up Squad Sevens barracks and hastily made his way over to the Captain's Meeting Hall.
