Day Dreaming 1.1 :: Belonging

She rubbed at the mist on the window to check out the stop sign.
Only five more stops, she thought as the bus started to open its doors to let in new passengers and for others to get out.
She stared at the people getting off the bus until there was no more. Staring was a habit, an old one too.
Old habits are hard to break.

She was about to open her book again when she caught sight of a man standing a little farther from the milling people around the bus stop. He was staring at her. She couldn't help but stare back.
She could feel some presence enter her head; sitting on a chair where everyone stood. She couldn't see nor feel the presence face but she knew it was of the man on the on the bus-stop staring at her.
"Can you hear me?" she asked of him sending a though coursing through whatever connects them, ignoring his presence on her head.
She felt his presence smile but did not speak.
"Well, if you can: hear this," she said and then screamed. Her thoughts let out a keening noise that she would never have been able to emulate with her voice alone.
She saw him wince. She smiled. "Get out of my head!" she screamed at the presence as she mentally pushed him into a little box covered in vines.
Even with the presence safely quarantined she could still feel its thoughts, its reactions.
"Very well", she decided. "If you won't leave, I'll entertain you."
She started mentally planting trees around the box while singing a pre-school rhyming song, then re-run the whole literature class from the past couple of days.

"You will never be one of us."
It was a jolt. She has heard this voice before in her dreams.
"You will never be one of us," he repeated.
The box opened to let in a vine to surround the presence as if to mummify it.
"You can never be one of us if you hurt me. If you hurt me they will know."
"I don't care!" she shouted as she propelled the mummified presence back to the man standing across the street.
She smiled with pleasure when the man blinked as if shocked.
The bus started to drive off. She could still feel a kind of presence which made her wonder weather the man actually entered her head or not.
"Read, stupid," she muttered to herself as she opened her book.

actually, that's about it of that one.. as the title implied.. this would be a collection of short (really short) stories... I'll try to keep them in one post each.. if they somehow have more to them, I'll make sure I write all in the same format (i.e. green fonts for one story, then blue fonts for the next seperate story)... hope I won't mess it up.

ok. ok. you two win.
I'll think of something to continue the first story with. But I tell you, I want some cookies for these. I'm a sucker for chocolate cookies with berries, so that would be my preference.

good girl pirate now, stay here a while... guard my jar (if it disappears, I know where to find you) and I'll go write some more of the blue fonted story pirate

*stares* So, I counted the cookies... a couple were missing. I'm sure you've been guarding the jar ever so intently. So, I was wandering if you saw where they went? *You're cheeks are chubby today. *Smiles* Are you ok?? twisted

I've written more last night but I haven't wrapped that part up nicely so I can't post it yet... sometime later tonight, it should be up here already.
