This is a log between lysia_nyteblade and myself and we are the ONLY two allowed to post here.

Strawberry Supernova: Meykal trotted through a small creek, enjoying the feel of the cool water over his legs. It was far too hot to be doing too much of anything. He looked around slowly, wondering if there was anyone nearby.

lysia_nyteblade: Basking in the shade of a tall tree, she lifted her head at the sound of hooves splashing in the water. Her ears flicked about some before she finally turned her full attention to where the noise had come from spotting a stallion off in the near distance.
Strawberry Supernova: Meykal grinned as he noticed a mare beneath a tree. A beautiful one at that, with roses entwined in her mane and tail. Smirking, he made his way out of the water towards her. "Good afternoon, my lady," he said regally, inclining his head to her.

alysia_nyteblade: Smiling she gave a soft giggle. Here was a rather amusing sight. so often here had she seen stallions who thought they were the prime choice of the lands. Now here stood one that so far seemed to be at least more tactful with his greetings. "Hello. Nice day isn't it?"

Strawberry Supernova: "A beautiful day indeed, but it pales in comparison to your beauty," he commented easily. He loved to flirt, especially with pretty mares. Despite his cocky nature, he knew that more flies were caught with honey than with vinegar and that the sweeter his words were, the easier it would be to make friends...or more.

lysia_nyteblade: Blinking some she felt her cheeks burn a bit as a soft color managed to reach them turning them a pale pink before she regained her composure. "Thank you... though I hardly would say my looks were comparable to the natural beauty of nature's brilliant and exquisite gifts." She smiled once more that type of smile that caused her eyes to become the happy slits that almost sparkled with the cheer of her face. Slowly she stood, shaking some to get rid of any stray dead leaved or dirt that might have gotten caught in her mane and/or tail. "I'm Shoshana though most just call me Sho for short."

Strawberry Supernova: Meykal smirked as he noticed the bit of color in her cheeks. "If you say so, though I still have to say you are exquisite," he said and stepped a little closer to her. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Sho, I'm Meykal." He inclined his head to her again and smiled as he came up. "May I ask what made you come out here?"

lysia_nyteblade: She couldn't help but giggle. oh now she knew what the game was. the gentleman and rico suave act indeed. "Oh, I just like to wander. I rarely stay in one place for to very long. I'm a traveler of sorts I guess you could say. I've traveled far and wide from lands not near here.. then one day in winter I stumbled upon these lands and just haven't seemed to feel the need to travel away. I guess you could say I've made a small home for myself in these lands."

Strawberry Supernova: He nodded; that made sense. "It is a pretty place to make one's home in," he rumbled in agreement. "I'm not much of a wanderer, I like to stay close to my family, my father at least."

lysia_nyteblade: "Family?" She pondered this some. did she even HAVE a family? She supposed she did for she must have been born some how. "I don't really recall my own family sadly... I left home at a rather ...... young age.. I guess i got curious and wandered off and just haven't made my back to them since.. Dunno if I have any living relatives or anything now. But I guess it's ok since I really don't know what I'm missing." She smiled wide.

Strawberry Supernova: He smiled. "I don't know much about my siblings, just my father really." He liked that she was curious, unlike some stallions he'd met, he found it intriguing. "Nothing wrong with a little curiosity," he grinned. "Would you like to take a walk with me, Sho?"

lysia_nyteblade: "A walk? Sure , a little walk never hurt any one." She giggled some and looked around. "Which direction we headed?" Her ear flicked around. Birds were still chirping and singing gaily in the trees most likely making nests for their young. Her attention then went back to him. "Meykal, how many siblings do you have?" the uncanny nack for curiosity stuck once again.

Strawberry Supernova: "Any direction my lady prefers," he said smoothly. "I believe I only have two, like I said, I don't know much about them," he smiled. He shifted his weight on his front hooves, waiting for her to choose a direction for their walk.

lysia_nyteblade: She looked around, sniffing at the air some. She thought long and hard for a moment before looking at him and grinning wide. "Hmm.. shall we go to the beach? I know it'd be a bit more than just a small walk.. but it seems like such a nice day to visit the beach."

Strawberry Supernova: He nodded and gestured for her to take the lead. "Then the beach is where we shall go," he said. "I like the beach. Even on warmer days like this, it's a nice place to visit." He wasn't just saying that, either. He did enjoy the ocean air flowing through his mane as he ran.

lysia_nyteblade: odding, she took the lead heading in the direction she knew the beach to be in. she had been taking more to staying closer to her two-legger lately which didn't' leave her much time to just go off and wander alone. The added company however, was nice all the same it was something different from her normal company. The two-legger could read more or less Sho's body language but it wasn't the same as having an out right conversation with another soquili.

Strawberry Supernova: He followed closely, not taking the lead, but not hanging too far back either. He wasn't much of a wanderer, and didn't like to wander alone. Company was always appreciated, especially when it was female company. It was just an added bonus that his current companion was a pretty one. "Is there something special you enjoy about the beach?" he asked as he felt the grass give way to more sandy terrain.

lysia_nyteblade: Nodding she grinned. "This may sound odd.. but i like the smell of the ocean air. The sound of waves breaking over the sand. it's a soothing sound to me. Also, sometimes i like to actually play in the water." She giggled some and flashed another grin before bolting for the water's edge, laughing as she ran.

Strawberry Supernova: He smiled and laughed a bit. "That's not odd, at all. I like the same things," he started, and was about to say more until she bolted for the water. Shocked, he froze in place for a moment until he followed after her, laughing. "I'm gonna catch you!" he called after her as he ran, feeling the cool salt air flowing through his long mane and tail.

lysia_nyteblade: Laughing harder, she stamped and splashed in the water kicking up water and mud as she ran past him. "Nuh uh.. I'm not going to let you!" She felt rather like a foal now with some one to actually 'play' with rather than just hold a conversation for long hours with. Talking was all fine and dandy.. but playing was much more fun.

Strawberry Supernova: "Wanna bet?" he laughed and ran hard, hooves pounding in the wet sand. He hadn't run like this in...a long time. It felt good to let go and have fun again. He was watching her instead of where he was placing his hooves and at one point, Meykal tripped over a root that was stuck in the sand. Turning as he fell, he skidded in the sand, hitting his shoulder hard. When he stopped sliding, he breathed slowly. He wasn't hurt too badly, but he wanted to see how Sho would react.

lysia_nyteblade: The dull thud of body hitting sand stopped her in ther tracks. Turning she let a small gasp escape her more of concern for him than anything else really. by nature she was a nurturing sort among the wandering sort. slowly she walked over, careful not to step on him or him mane. "Are you ok?" Her ears perked as she lowly lowered her head, mane pooling even more on the sand and swaying as the waves came in and attempted to take it off to sea as they left.

Strawberry Supernova: Peeking one eye open, he watched as she leaned over him. It was sweet, and took some of his playfulness away. He had been planning on jumping up and scaring her, but suddenly that didn't seem like such a good idea. Instead, he stretched a bit, wincing as his shoulder pulled. "I'm fine, just tripped is all. Thank you," he said sincerely and pulled himself to his feet.

lysia_nyteblade: "You sure?" her head raised as he stood up so they wouldn't collide. "Maybe we should take a small breather and just enjoy the cool waves? maybe wade out a little deeper and let the cool water run over that shoulder of yours?" She slowly made her way deeper into the water as she spoke.

Strawberry Supernova: Nodding, he limped a little farther into the waves, the cool water feeling good against his skin. "That sounds like a good idea, actually," he murmured, thankful for her presence. Wading still deeper, he made his way closer to Sho as he went.

lysia_nyteblade: Chuckling she nodded. "I've been known to bang myself up from time to time.. though I haven't had many gluts moments as of let.. I think I'm getting better at it actually.. Haven't tangled myself up in my tail for weeks now." She edged out still further. The waves seemed to be pulling ever harder this far out. Just as she noticed the sand feel like it was slipping from under her a large wave came and crashed over her head. ring of roses covering her eyes, her head was visible and she was sputtering water. don't come out this far.. it's pulling harder..." She attempted to gain her footing once more and get to the more shallow area.

Strawberry Supernova: He smiled, laughing softly. Not at her, but with her, sort of. He remember getting caught in his own tail. It wasn't quite as long as hers, but it was still pretty long. He gasped when the waves pulled her under and, ignoring the pain in his shoulder, made his way closer to her to try to pull her out. He ignored her telling him to stay away and dove in after her, kicking hard and pushing her closer to the shallow area.

lysia_nyteblade: Kicking her legs, she finally got her footing some, pulling and pushing to get free of the wave. Just as she thought she was making head way. The wave seemed to pull harder at her. For once she was starting to find herself panicking. Letting out a shriek of a sound. she looked like she was doing more flailing about that swimming really. her mane being slung about as she tossed her head fighting the pull of the ocean.

Strawberry Supernova: Meykal pushed harder at her flank, kicking until he could feel sand beneath his hooves. Just as he felt the sand, her wet mane slapped him in the face. Ducking below the surface, he wrapped her mane around his neck and resumed his efforts to get her closer to the shallow area. His shoulder burned with the efforts, but he wouldn't leave her to fend for herself just because he was hurt.

Lysia_nyteblade: She flailed ever more. The feeling of something tugging her mane was both a moment of relief and pain. Sure, getting your hair pulled hurt but at this point she really wasn't going to be too picky. She'd rather be sore from her mane being pulled than drift off to sea and drown. slowly she was able to get more and more footing in the sand. Soon she was able to push forward on her own muscle though her mane was now still wrapped around his neck. The water still pulled at her belly as she pushed further for the beach. Her muscles felt heavy and she hadn't even escaped the waves.

Strawberry Supernova: Huffing, Meykal gained ground just after she had and put all his weight against her, trying hard to get her free.

lysia_nyteblade: Gritting her teeth, she pushed harder till she finally made it to dry sand. collapsing on the sand she heaved with heavy breathing. her energy was sapped. She felt drained. Hey body lay in the sand soaking up the warmth from it as her breathing slowly steadied, her tail was still partially out in the water, waves bringing it in and then dragging it back out with each passing wave.

Strawberry Supernova: Twisting, he uncoiled her mane from his neck as they reached the sand. He pulled himself out of the water, just barely before landing hard on his knees beside her. "Are...are you alright?" he asked breathlessly, looking over at her with concern in his eyes.

lysia_nyteblade: Raising her head enough to look at him, she nodded. "I'm safe now... Thank you." She smiled faintly before letting her head flop back on the sand. After she had gained more strength, she raised her head and rolled more onto her stomach. "You didn't have to endanger yourself... but.. I thank you for doing so.." She couldn't held but to smile. she's had some nice gestures made towards her in the past but never had anyone risked them self to save her.

Strawberry Supernova: He smiled softly at her. "I'm glad you're safe,' he said and laid his head on his forelegs. He shook his head the next time she spoke. "I couldn't just let you drown," he said. "That's not right and no stallion worth his salt would have stood by and watched." He was staunch in his conviction, he hated knowing that there were Soquili out there who could watch and not help, or worse, put someone in that kind of situation.

lysia_nyteblade: She couldn't help but to laugh some. "Oh i'm sure there are those out there that could.. but then again i have a feeling even the ones that are entirely convinced of their evil couldn't watch and do nothing..." Feeling she was able to, she slowly stood. She felt a bit wobbly but her stomach let out a loud rumbling growl protesting to it's emptiness. With a small sheepish look, she giggled. "Seems it's time to eat... maybe we should find some food.. that is if you're able to move yet..."

Strawberry Supernova: He stared at her for a moment. It was as if she'd read his thoughts. Uncanny. He smiled as his own stomach rumbled it's agreement. Slowly, he stood, trying to put weight on his shoulder and wincing as he did. Well, this would be slow going. "I hate to slow you down," he said and limped a little closer to her. "But food sounds like a good idea."

lysia_nyteblade: "Don't you worry about slowing me down any... my muscles feel a bit sluggish still so it's not like I'll be rushing off or anything." She let out a hearty laugh that seemed to catch in her eyes causing them to dance almost like a star glitters. "Off we go to find food then."

Strawberry Supernova: He chuckled softly. "True enough," he said. He liked the way her eyes glittered when she laughed. "Yes. Off we go," he murmured and followed her slowly, limping slightly. "What do you prefer to eat?"

lysia_nyteblade: "Well, I love clover.. or cored apples.. tender grass is always nice.." She thought for a moment. "Then there's the ocasional oat treats my two-legger occasionally slips me.." She giggled some. "Though I wouldn't' suggest making a full diet on those.. even if they are tasty."

Strawberry Supernova: "Apple are good," he agreed. "I don't think I've had any of those oat treats. Perhaps I'll have to see if my new two-legger has them when I see her next." He didn't know when that would be. He liked to be alone and only visited her when he wanted her company.

lysia_nyteblade: "I think clover and tender grass will be easier to find right now though..." She giggled. "Maybe I'll bring you a few oat treats when my two-legger next give me some. though she changes it up every now and then.. some times it's oat treats.. and sometimes it's carrots."

Strawberry Supernova: Meykal grinned. "True, I don't think either of us are up to getting apples from trees right now," he smiled as she offered to bring him oat treats. "That would be nice," he smiled. "I like carrots, too, but they're pretty hard to find."

lysia_nyteblade: Making shifty eyes, she grinned wide. "My two-legger seems to have started growing them around her teepee.. So she likes to give me a few now and then as treats." She giggled as she stumbled over her own feet due to the muscle exhaustion.

Strawberry Supernova: "She seems like a nice two-legger," he laughed. Catching her stumble, he moved closer to help her stand up, leaning his unhurt shoulder against her's. "You okay?" he asked.

lysia_nyteblade: Chuckling, she nodded. "Yeah just me being clumsy again..." She shook her head some. "no worries, you take care of your hurt shoulder..." She nudged him with her nose as she continued walking though her knees weren't as wobbly as they felt, they were still a bit shaky.

Strawberry Supernova: "I'm alright," he said, and stayed close to her in case she stumbled again. "It's not that bad," he played it off though he was still limping. He always did that; played injuries off like they were nothing. It was part of his nature, he couldn't help it.

Lys:
"Still, be careful. it may not feel so bad but it could be worse than thought to be...." She watched him limp closely, her legs gradually feeling less and less shaky from the shock of it all. Looking around, she spotted what looked like a patch of possibly clover in the near distance. "This way, It looks like there's a clover patch up here." She flashed him a small smile and picked up her pace some as her stomach grumbled it's annoyance of being empty.

Berri (Now Sola):
Meykal smiled lightly. "True...I hadn't thought about that, heh," he murmured as they walked, glad that Sho was looking better as well. He blinked when she pointed out the clover and nodded, picking up his pace as well, his own limp starting to fade. "It looks good, too."

Lys:
"I think right now my stomach would welcome dry grass." She chuckle lightly as she walked. the clover's sweet scent lifted to the air urging and beckoning them to come nearer. Wasn't too much longer though and she had reached the patch, burying her nose into the lush green and blossoms and breathing it in. She liked the smell of clover and even more so the taste of it. Taking a big mouth full, she ripped it up from the ground and chewed as she watched out over the land.

Berri:
He laughed at her comment and the way she dove for the clovers, though he couldn't say too much as his head was right next to hers, pulling a mouthful up for himself. "Mm, delicious," he said between bites.

Lys:
Nodding she swallowed her mouth full and grinned before diving for another bite. Chewing she smiled and swallowed her second bite. "Mmmmhmmm, It's just what the tummy ordered." She took another bite catching some of the blossoms in it, she savored the delicate taste they offered as she chewed.

Berri:
Smiling at her, he leaned in to take another bite. "Definitely!" he said happily as he chewed.

Lys:
She ate for a while longer before finally getting her fill and laying down where she had stood. With a big yawn, she grinned sleepily. " I think I have the foal effect.." Chuckling she gave another small yawn. " Who knew food would make me sleepy after I had grown up." Really it was more the fact that the day's events had taken their toll. Fighting the waves had drained her energy and a nap was well needed.

Berri:
"Ha, the foal effect?" he asked softly before swallowing his last mouthful. He yawned after she did, shaking his body all over before laying near her. "Never heard it put that way," he said before yawning again. "Wow, you're right, ha!"

Lys:
Nodding she spoke. " Yeah you remember how when you were a foal you'd play and eat and sleep and that was ...... pretty much it? And when you'd eat you'd become sleepy right after it?" She stifled another small yawn. " Well it kinda reminds me of that which is why I said foal effect." Looking at his shoulder, she nudged it lightly with her nose. "How's it feeling.. any better?"

Berri:
He nodded, "Yeah, I see what you mean, heh. I remember how that was." He blinked when she nudged he shoulder. "Hm? Oh, yeah, feels much better. Barely hurts now~"

Lys:
"Good. I'm glad you're not hurting so much now. Thought you might have injured it more trying to pull my carcass out of the water." She gave a slightly sheepish look. "I'd wager your herd would frown upon you injuring yourself rendering you useless on my account." She had assumed he belonged to a herd without thinking. She knew some of the others in the land had banded together forming herds of family units. If she had ever belonged to a herd in her life It had all been left behind when she chose to wander and leave them in her youth.

Berri:
He blinked. "Herd?" he asked as he tilted his head to the side, shaking his mane out a little. "I don't belong to a herd..." he frowned a bit, but it went away quickly. "I just never joined one. He'd heard of herds as well, though never thought of joining one. Other than his father, he'd never really had much of a relationship with anyone, and didn't see the benefits to being in a herd.

Lys:
"I see... I don't really remember if I ever really belonged to one when I was a foal or not.. I never really thought to join one either after I came here to these lands." Smiling she gave a small shrug. "Though I guess I could see why some mares would wish to belong to one.. It'd make good for raising foals. You'd definitely have several pairs of eyes to help keep track of them, It'd be a safe environment for them." It was small talk to her really she wasn't insinuating any form of relationships just pointing out some of the appeal that Herds had.

Berri:
Meykal nodded. "Yeah, I can see how that would be ideal," he murmured. "I never thought about that, heh. Well, I never really thought about foals at all," he said with a light blush.

Lysia:
Noticing his blush she blinked a few times before blushing herself. " Oh.. I hadn't meant to imply anything.... I was just thinking from a female point of view. I mean herds could be good for other reasons too.. I mean Take threats.. Alone one might fall victim to prey or be attacked by a cougar or even another malicious soquili." The more she thought the more the herd idea seemed to sound beter and better to her. Perhaps she had been wrong to think she was better off on her own without any attachments all this time.: "But in a herd.. You all watch out for each other and protect one another. no mater how young or old you are. Of course you'd want to protect the babies in the group if there were any."

Berri:
"I didn't mean to suggest you meant that," he murmured, his blush darkening a bit. "I just...never thought about them before, heh." He nodded again, agreeing with her points of view. "I see what you mean. It would certainly be easier to guard in a group. More soquili to watch your back instead of having to watch it yourself. Hm. It seems like a very good idea, to me."

Lys:
Nodding she was about to drift off into her nap, resting her head on him. He made a nice pillow. " Maybe some day I'll join one who knows." With another yawn she closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep.

Berri:
He smiled lightly as she rested her head on him. "Maybe we could make our own," he said and laughed, joking, before laying back and making a pillow out of his mane. It didn't take him long to drift off after Sho.
