I believe a spirit is trying to talk to me, and this is one of y first times dealing with them, What should i do?
I hear people talking in the other side of the house when no one is home, often things are moved around, or hidden, and I almost feel watched.
suggestions?

Talk back and see what they want? It sounds more like a common haunt or the former residents at your place never left after death.
Either way, I guess as long as they're not harming you. Whatever. Now, if things are getting lost. Then you might want to add some warding to your items if it's that much of a hassle.
Are there any more details you can give us?

ummm, not really, aside from the fact that they have contacted me in a dream before. it wasn't... pleasant.

One of my first contacts was through a dream. Do you ever get headaches when you feel like it is around?

Midnight_WillowWolf ummm, not really, aside from the fact that they have contacted me in a dream before. it wasn't... pleasant. nothing else major has happened. sorry. Ahahha.... See there is a detail that can give some information. They contacted you in a dream before? what was unpleasant about the dream? how much of the discomfort was due to your own fears/perceptions, how much of it was due to the nature of the spirits? I wish I could help more, I really do. But I absolutely stink at dream interpretations and dream interpretations could be greatly personal for all you know as well. But, sharing the dream might help.

I dont even know if i should call it a dream. my mom was in the room when it happened. I had woken up, but the elements of the dream still lingered. i walked into the bathroom, and sound erupted around me, but only i could hear it. I could hear things in the walls, shrieking and scratching through, trying to get to me. I was so scared, i collapsed, and passed out. I dont remember this part, but my mom came in found me, and woke me up. i then walked to my room and slept over 14 hours.
it was more like i went into a trance, and saw the world beyond. i've only had one other episode like this.

Midnight_WillowWolf occasionally, but not always. Generally speaking, when you have headaches when you feel spirits around it is them trying to communicate with you. If you can find a way to quiet your mind enough you can hear them. It may just seem like strange voices in your head but you could be able to pick out some words that may help. Do you know much about the history of the house?

its a new house, but there have been a few people that have died in the desert near us

from all sounds of it i'd say it is definitely some spirit stuff. i'd say look into the people who died nearby. but also try creating a circle and meditating. call the spirit to you. if its harmless it will be able to get into your circle and talk to you. if not i'd worry and would suggest warding or exorcism

I wouldn't suggest calling a spirit to you, ever, for any reason, unless you know for a fact that you can put it back where it came from without harming yourself.
That being said, I agree with the other part of Elf's suggestion; cast a circle, or create an area for meditation, then clear your mind and simply listen. See if you can sense the spirit moving about, and see if you can 'look' at it in your mind; you won't necessarily see anything, but if it can sense that you want to talk it should come over and try communicating. If it's not harmful, that is. If it happens to be not-so-nice, there are tons of cleansing, blessing, and exorcising techniques out there and the folks here, myself included, would ( I'm sure ) be more than happy to share knowledge on how to consecrate your space and make your home free of baddies. smile
