Government
Governments and law-enforcing bodies vary according to the region they are in.
Eurlak
The main government is comprised of a king of each country. Separate lords rule over cities and counties. For example, the capital city of Eurlak, Jaradin, has a Lord of the City and King of the Country.
Law enforcement varies slightly between countries, but is largely the same. Each city has a City Guard. The Guard is made of an order of Commanders, Captains, Senior Guards, Guards, and trainees. Commanders control the entire city's law enforcement, almost never leaving the headquarters. Captains control the separate districts of the city, one per district; they occasionally venture out for a taste of actual work. Guards are the main police, making sure all things are going well and keeping crime in check. Trainees are just as their name says: people in training to become Guards. The entire force is usually strict, though the richer people may be able to bribe their way out of a tight spot.
Otalin
The main government consists of emperors, like our ancient China, ruling over each country; one emperor per country. Some nobility is present, but there are no definite lords of countries, like in Eurlak.
Law enforcement is largely the same as in Eurlak, though slightly different in ranking and leniency; there is almost no successful bribing of any kind, and punishments are slightly harsher and more frequent.
Afrikaanis
Not much is known of Afrikaanis's government. Certain sections of the north and northwest coasts have been claimed and explored by those of Eurlak and Otalin, but the rest of the region is a mystery. What is known is that the region is filled with indigenous tribes of people, each adhering to their own customs, standards, and ways of life. Very few have been contacted, as they appear to be fearful of outsiders.
Svalbard
As Svalbard is a large, frozen wasteland of ice and snow, there are no inhabitants or government. Only the bravest explorers dare to come here, and they never stay for long.
Kavata- The New World
Kavata has been only somewhat explored, and remains another land of mystery and intrigue for those who like unexplored lands.
