A Single Rose
As I, a single rose, Sleeps in a barren field. Waiting to be loved, And to be healed.
My dark red petals, Look almost perfect. But there is one tore petal, Showing all of my neglect.
As I sleep in the meadow, Season start to go by. I start to wilt, Almost about to die.
Then a stranger comes, And picks me, the rose. Giving it to his loved one, Saying a lovely prose.
She sees my imperfection, But doesn't say a thing. Instead the beauty, Takes the golden ring.
For once I feel loved, Knowing somebody wants me. I no longer worry, Because I am calm like the sea.
