Kazi was missing a paintbrush and had gained a cub. She wasn't a bad little cub really and he was warming to her. He still wasn't sure how to look after a cub and so they were on their way to find Mora. He generally carried the cub or let her ride on his back as flying was much easier way to get around. He wasn't sure what they would do when she got bigger but he could worry about that later.

"Right Kianga, don't forget be nice to Mora at first and play with her and things... then find out where the paintbrush is." Kazi spoke, which was essential after all he had to make sure the cub understood the importance of this. Which of course meant she got to cling on to his back today.

"Right there she is, you see the white? Now if she starts shouting cover your ears. Her screaming hurts.. lots!" He then flew down, more gently then he would normally. He was aware the cub was mortal and could fall off and die, which wouldn't be very useful.

"Mora my darling... I have a present for you!"

Lucky for Kazi, he was keeping Kianga entertained just enough that she hadn't thought about what she had left behind in the Kizingo. It was a grand adventure and she was special because she was the one on it, that was enough to keep her occupied. She was getting better at clinging to Kazi and the trust she had in him was the only thing that kept her calm and still while they flew. She nodded as he explained about the plan to find the paintbrush.

She squinted when Kazi indicated they had found Mora, eager to meet the paintbrush thief. When they landed, she peeked out around Kazi's head but then carefully scrambled onto the ground, sticking close to the familiar god.

Yep, that paintbrush was hers now, she had stole it fair and square. Ha! Maybe next time that stupid jerk would think twice before he changed her colors again! No, probably not, but she had his paintbrush, so there!

Her intent had been to hide it (or throw it off a cliff somewhere). But growing impatient with finding a good hiding place, she had instead decided it would be -much- more fun to taunt him with it. Heh heh heh, let's see how he liked this game!

Ah, and there he was now, right on time. A smirk, Mora turned to face him, the paintbrush distinctly resting behind her own here. If he wanted that brush back it was going to cost him. Or maybe she'd just keep it from him forever.

"Really. What kind of present?"

She wasn't falling for his tricks!

Kazi smiled as he landed. He could see the paintbrush and he knew full well that she was trying to tease him. He was also more then aware that she would be skeptical of him.

It was a good thing that as she asked what the present was, Kianga jumped off his back.

"I bought you a friend to play with. This is Kianga, her mother gave her to me and so I am looking after her now. As you like playing so much I thought the two of you could get on somewhat." Yes he was being serious, actually being serious. He was now looking after this cub, though he didn't realise how challenging it would be and yes he was trying to partly pass her raising on to Mora. After all he knew how little Mora liked to play with him and Kianga could play with her... and then he could get his paintbrush back.

Kianga took a step away from Kazi, looking at Mora with wonder. She was a very different looking god. Her ears were pointy (and fluffy!), her wings were gigantic and she had a funny thing in the middle of her head-- and beside that was what Kianga had to guess was the paintbrush. Her smile was somewhere between scary and inviting. It was intimidating, no doubt, but Kazi had made Mora sound like just enough fun that that was lost on the bright little cub.

"Play?" she asked curiously, smiling hopefully and taking a couple steps closer to the goddess.

He had brought what? What was that?

Mora had taken several steps back, her gaze shifting between Kazi and the cub. He could not be serious, a cub? What was Kazi even doing with a cub, ha, as if he was fit to raise a cub. Snort!

"You have got to be kidding."

A cub, hmph, if she wanted to deal with cubs she could go home and play with her little siblings! Well...it was kind of cute...and playful, Mora liked to play.

Her head lowered, sniffing curiously at the cub. Maybe it wasn't so bad, and the cub couldn't cheat, unlike a certain stupid jerk.

"What do you want to play?"

She shot a sideways glance at Kazi, watching him, she was so not letting him get close enough to take that brush back. So if he was having thoughts of that, he could just stop it now!

Kazi just laid down as Mora went towards Kianga. He knew she wouldn't be able to resist playing and once they were he would get his paintbrush back. Kianga knew she had to try getting it but only if she got near it, if not Kazi would get it. He would use his powers to do so.

He didn't say anything to Mora, in fact he looked rather like a proud father. He kept an eye on Kianga who he had decided would be a really good girl to keep about. If he trained her right she could help him annoy Mora. It would be perfect, completely perfect! He smiled to himself as he watched the two. Kianga wouldn't be able to cheat and he knew Mora would love that fact. Of course Kazi could help her cheat but today he needed his paintbrush back, so Kianga could play like she would normally. No cheating, not in their game anyway.

Kianga stood as tall as her little legs would let her and as still as she could manage while Mora sniffed her. Then she couldn't help but sniff back- she had a very interesting smell. And she got a closer look at the paintbrush. It definitely looked more like it belonged to Kazi than to Mora.

"Uhhhhhhh," she hesitated, "Are you good at hide-and-seek? Or- or- tag!" She bounced excitedly, pausing only to glance at Kazi when Mora did but looking back quickly, beaming.

"No, no hide and seek."

She shot a glare at Kazi, a twitch of her tail. Even if the cub could not cheat, Kazi could. There was no way she was playing hide and seek when he was around, ever! No, no, no, not a chance, no way, no how, never!

"We can play tag."

She liked tag, though she liked it a lot more when she could fly. Playing with a mortal cub, she couldn't fly, she would have to play 'fair'... Well, it would be just like playing with her younger siblings, right?

"You start."

Another glance shot at Kazi, a warming, there was to be no cheating from him!

Kazi watched with a smile on his face, which he was sure would annoy Mora. It seemed anything and everything he did annoyed Mora.

As they started playing tag though he got to work on his plan. He knew it wouldn't be that great but he had to try it anyway. He started humming a tune, very quietly that was affecting the area he was occupying. He was trying to change the colours that you could see to look like him and him to the colours of the surrounding area. He wouldn't have long as it wouldn't fool anyone for long as he couldn't make it real or look 3d, it was just a painting.

It would give him the time to change his colour and fly above Mora and get his paintbrush back though. It would just take some time to get to that point and he wanted Mora to get into the game with Kianga properly first.

"No?" she repeated, looking over at Kazi again when Mora looked over, thinking maybe Kazi didn't like hide and seek or maybe Mora was bad at it and she should have known. She didn't dwell on it, easily distracted when Mora said they could play tag. She nodded, not sure if 'you start' meant she would be running or trying to catch Mora but she could be ready for either! So hopped away, laughing, turning once she was several feet away to watch what Mora did next. She was oblivious to anything going on in the background once she was staring at Mora, she didn't want to get caught fast, she had to keep an eye on the goddess!

Oh no, Mora was good enough at hide and seek, she had played it often enough as a cub. She just did not trust that big stupid jerk who was sitting over there.

One more glare at Kazi (hmph, he had better not try anything!), and Mora finally turned her attention to the cub. Well, almost. She had taken the paintbrush from behind her ear to hold it in her jaws instead. Hey, couldn't have it falling onto the ground while they were playing and just let him walk up and take it back. Nope, she would not make it that easy.

Then she was watching the cub with a small smirk, 'stalking' after her. Clearly, for now, Mora was 'it', hunting down her prey for a tag.

"Better run, or I'll catch you."

Kazi was slightly annoyed that it was in her mouth but he was bigger and stronger so his plan was still the same. He had the confidence that he could take it from her jaws.

He smiled at Kianga as she looked to him and carried on watching. Most of this would involve patience which he had very little of anyway. All he did have would be used now waiting for the chance to get what was his back. After all did he not deserve what was his?

Kianga wiggled excitedly as she watched Mora, almost completely forgetting about the paintbrush. She squealed when Mora smirked and called out to her. Scrambling, she spun around and took off. She didn't go far, she didn't really want to get lost-- and it was more fun if you got caught eventually. So she looped around, trying to keep as far from Mora as she could when she did, laughing the whole way.

If Mora had only known just how irritated Kazi was at that moment, oh how delicious it would have been. But alas, she was far too intent on Kianga to notice, or to really care at that moment, and thus the satisfaction was lost forever.

Oh well, nothing a good game of tag couldn't fix.

A pounce! Mora had just missed catching the cub, landing with a flick of her tail where Kianga had been only a moment before. Hey, even the goddess of impatience understood the importance of keeping the game going, it wouldn't be any fun if she caught the cub too quickly.

"Ready or not, here I come!"

She turned to run after Kianga again, a little more determined than she had been before, her own laughter following behind her. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before she grew tired of holding that paintbrush, or forgot about it altogether.
