Hsus: -trots around him happily and nuzzles him quick like- "Hi XI."
HXI: Hello Susan~ *smiles and nuzzles him in return, smirking inwardly at how easy it is for him now*
Hsus: -stops when he's nuzzled and he starts to breath heavy and fangirlishly- 83
HXI: *Or not* You alright? *raises an eyebrow*
Hsus: -nods his head not realizing he'd started doing it until he'd already done it and tries to even out his breathing- "Yeah... sorry... It's hard not to be stupid around you.... I just can't think straight with you."
HXI: I'm sure you'll get used to me in time, because I'm not letting you go, you know.
Hsus: -silly giggles and gets a stupid sort of happy look on his face nodding his head and moving in to nuzzle XI again liking the feel of his heat- "You're so rad Xi."
HXI: *blinks* I'm sure that's a good thing? *rubs his face and neck against Sus' in one smooth motion and them steps to move off* So what have you been up to recently?
Hsus: -gets a nice warming sensation that spreads through his body and he holds back the shiver from it. He takes in a deep breath and smiles at XI before he realized he'd asked him something- "Oh! OH! I've been looking for a place to stay... Since I figured I might be here for a while and all..."
HXI: *walks along at a leisurely pace, in no hurry to go wherever* Oh, have you found anything yet?
Hsus: -walks along with him; taking the same nice slow pace with him as well- "No... no place that really just jumps at me yet...."
HXI: No? Looking for something very specific then?
Hsus: just some place nice... and dry... with a nice view and a safe tree for E to sleep in when she doesn't want to be in my hair or horns."
HXI: A view of what? *chuckles, mostly teasing with the question*
Hsus: -smiles at his teasing and his chuckles- "Something nice. Something long pale and handsome~ maybe a weeping willow?"
HXI: So perhaps near the lake, but not too near? *subtly changes the direction he's heading as they walk along*
Hsus: -nods his head- "Yeah; it couldn't be too close to water... because..." -he stipped not wanting to finish that statement. Because XI didn't like water- "Because there would be way too much mud for my liking."
HXI: Perfectly understandable~ *he smirked* I have a place in mind for you, but it's a bit of a way off still, I hope you dont mind?
Hsus: -shakes his head his dreads bouncing around on his head- "I don't mind~ I like the company... I mean... so long as you don't mind of course..."
HXI: I offered to show you, why would I do so if I did mind? *raises his brows, enjoying teasing Sus, because he didn't seem to mind at all*
Hsus: -blushes deep under his fur; his markings shining brighter than normal because of it and he shook his head; his glow sticks swinging gently with his dreads; when he stopped they continued; slowing down after a while- "I guess you're right..."
HXI: That's alright. Com'on, if we pick up our pace a bit I can show it to you sooner. *nods* Shall we?
Hsus: but I like walking with you~" -slows his pace and smiles at him-
HXI: If you want to walk with me you'll have to keep up~ *continues on, moving off if Sus doesn't move to catch up*
Hsus: D8 -trots to keep up his hair and trinkets jingling as he did one of his glow things hitting him in the face as he went to keep up with him- "I can keep up! I can keep up!"
HXI: That's better, I don't mind sticking with you Sus, but I want to get where we're going before sun-up.
Hsus: But~ with you and me~ It's like we never need the light.
HXI: Precisely. I wish to enjoy the moonlit hours, and also get some sleep before morning happens though.
Hsus: oh~ I'm not much of a sleeper..." -he admits shyly- "I'm more of an insomniac." -he laughs lightly-
HXI: So you sleep away the day then? Is that why I don't see you around until evening time. Hmm. *nods and continues to trot through the trees, the lake growing nearer and nearer*
Hsus: Yeah; when I do sleep... it's during the day. I like the night better. It's so much more... peaceful. And like... so much easier to get through. And it makes my glow stuff all the better. Plus... I think I look better in the night.
HXI: Nonsense, you look good all the time, glowing bits or no. Anyway, here we are, *XI slows and steps through the tree line, into a clearing, the trees here are semi thick and so overhead that they would probably be a good shelter from rain, but not so thick that there isn't a lot of area to move around, also the lake in in sight, but not so close that the ground is marshy or soggy* What do you think?
Hsus: -stops and looks around his head turning and not getting caught on anything. This was nice... big enough for the two of them; more room as well... not that he was thinking that far ahead of course. How could he; they'd just met after all. The dirt wasn't so hard; but it wasn't soft either. He smiled and took in a deep breath turning his head to look at XI; his eyes opening slowly and just looking at him happily- "I think it's perfect XI. Thank you."
HXI: *grins* It's not a problem, I've been staying in this area already, so it will be nice to have company, and also Hong will like to have E around as well, I should think. Wherever she is... *glances around but his mion is not in sight*
Hsus: oh god E! I need to go get her!" -flails rearing back to go to move around; to turn around as best he can before hearing some squeaks and seeing the white of Xi's Hong and the red of his E.- "oh..." -calms back down when E scampers over to him and climbs up his leg to nestle under his dreads waiting for Hong to join her-
Hong: *Scampers up Sus, chasing after E merrily but settles down quickly in the presence of XI, resting against E contented*
XI: So they were already nearby? *smirks* I think E won't be rid of her easily, just as I won't be rid of you.
Hong: *chatters in embarrassed protest and covers her face*
E: -curls up with Hong and smiles chattering at her reassuringly and snuggling close-
Hsus: When you tell me you don't want to let me go so easy~ I promise to make it extra hard. Besides I think E likes Hong~" -lifts his eyes to look at XI meaningfully- "A lot." - a double sided statement and smiles.- "But E better not like Hong TOO much when they're hiding on me."
Hong: *hides under Sus' hair more, happy to be snuggled by E*
XI: *makes a face* If they start that, dump them in the lake.
E: -holds Hong close and chatters at her happily before licking her nose and scampering down Sus' leg and off to their hidey hole in one of the trees-
Hsus: -laughs out loud and watches E go- "I think I would be too freaked out about what they were doing to think to go and do that. XD"
Hong: *squeaks and rushes after, not wanting to be away from E, or dumped into the lake again*
XI: *gives a bit if a shiver, rustling his wings* I agree, but it would stop them very quickly.
Hsus: -laughs lightly and moves away from where the two mions have run off to and moves in closer to XI again- "So what should we do until the sun comes up XI?"
XI: *looks to the steadily darkening sky and then back to Sus* What do you wish to do?
Hsus: -has so many naughty and suggestive things run through his head even his guardian is blushing. He stops and takes a moment to calm his mind down- "Want to dance with me?"
E: -scampers up a tree and into a hollowed out hole that she's made into her permanent home and waits for Hong to join her-
Hong: *follows E up the tree in a flash of colors, goes straight for her and hugs the other mion, chittering softly, in apology for her herla's bluntness, her tiny cheeks pink under her white fur*
XI: *Watches Sus intently, but waits for his response patiently* Oh? *smiles nicely* Yes, I think I'll take you up on that offer, so long as we're careful, there shouldn't be a problem.
E: -starts to groom Hong chittering at her to make her stop apologizing for something that doesn't bother her in the first place; pulling her paws through her fur and nosing her as she did so-
Hsus: -smiles and starts to slowly move to XI; dipping his shoulders and swaying his body and head lightly; smiling at XI full of intent; wanting to almost pull him in with his dance; to attract him slowly- "Move like this."
Hong: *apologizes for apologizing and then realizes what she's doing, hushes up, hunkers down, scrunches her body to make herself smaller, but she was already a small mion to begin with, still nuzzling against E, happy and much more lively when alone with the other mion, than when she's around others, especially the herla*
XI: *not unaccustomed to dancing as a pastime, but not entirely sure if he'll be able to move as well as Sus does, he's also glad that he's not got anything dangling from him yet, not wanting to look a fool no matter what. He steps back as Sus steps forward, mimicking the motion in reverse and watching Sus, how he moves his whole body, very intently*
E: -chitters to Hong that she has very lovely fur; the best she's ever seen anywhere before continued to groom her; moving to take hold of Hong's tail and starts to groom it as well; picking out any dirt or bugs or bits of grass or earth-
Sus: -smiles happy at XI~ He looked good dancing like that; He soon got into a rhythm; an easy rhythm hoping that XI could keep up with it- "XI~ You look amazing." He tells him honestly; just trying to take in the look of him. God did he look good. It was almost more than he could take. He closed his eyes and listened to a music and a beat he knew by heart; just going slow. This was a mating dance in his herd. Even if XI didn't know what it was; that he was doing it at all; was so amazing to Sus. That Sus himself was doing it with someone... and actually wanting them to know the meaning.... He was so happy he was here.-
Hong: *really enjoying the grooming, she tells E that she's always taken care of herself because it was something to do to pass the time when she was alone and with XI he wouldn't accept her if she didn't take good care of herself. Hong adds that E is prettier, that Hong really likes all the color speckles in E's fur, they're much more interesting. Hong continues to nuzzle against E with her eyes shut, daring to say brave things, because they're alone.*
XI: *tosses his head and flashes Sus a smoldering look he's grinning as he continues to attempt to match Sus, XI doesn't quite keep up, not knowing the steps but does his best and is very agile on his feet today, it helps that he knows this area well, that it is clear and open, else me might take a tumble into the underbrush and ruin his perfect image. XI flares his wings a little, getting more into the dance, still watching how Sus moves, but adding in a bit here and there, tiny differences, things he's seen before, or remembered from his youth. Though he didn't hear the music the beat was fun to follow and XI started to lose himself, not caring so much if it got it exactly right and instead having fun, he stayed nearer and nearer to Sus as they danced, becoming more confident that he was fast enough on his feet to follow the changes in the steps*
E: -looks down at Hong nuzzling into her and soon is curled up against her herself; pulling her into the darker portions of the hidey hole and burrowing under some leaves to keep in the added warmth of the two of them. She tells her that she'll take care of her now and that they'll pass the time together playing; eating; and sleeping together like right now. noses her and curls up close to her-
Sus: -had to close his eyes for a moment; putting that look to memory; he tried to mimic it; not coming across as strong and as sexy and as hot as XI made it look he was sure; but it was fully of passion and raw emotion. He picked up his speed; trying to overwhelm XI now. This dance he'd watched other males do the the herla they admired; who they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with. And if XI had already told him that this was going to happen; then he felt it was alright to do this with him. He picked up his pace; not needing XI to keep up anymore; just showing him through his movement a sort of promise. Bending and twisting but never leaving the ground; he always thought that when some of the herla jumped and spinned it always looked a bit odd. He would have if he thought XI would like it; but he felt that this in itself was good enough. He started to rock his head and twist it and twirl it with his body; making a shimmer and an outline with his glow sticks; entrancing XI-
XI: *grins as Sus returns the look, and keeps flashing flirting glances his way, in attempt to throw Sus off his game. XI had to back up again, and watch more carefully as Sus sped up, he couldn't attempt to match the other for much longer, not that he was in bad shape, he just wasn't used to the pace of Sus yet, also he was rather enjoying watching all the things that Sus could do, some that he would never attempt, it was an amazing sight, as the night grew darker, the glow sticks came alive and Sus' form was a fascinating blur of colors, XI stilled and stepped back to really enjoy the dance*
Sus: -could have done this all night; just trying to draw XI in; but he stopped after an hour and smiled at XI; breathing heavy his chest rising and falling from the exertion. He smiled widely at XI at what he'd just done. Wanting his approval. He'd seen all the looks XI had given him; and it had made him burn with a desire he'd never felt before. He wondered how many other herla he'd looked at like that, and he was suddenly filled with a pang of jealously; not that he'd let it show of course. When he'd finally caught his breath he smiled at XI- "Did you like it?"
XI: *watches every moment, every movement, as if trying to memorize it all, smiling softly but happily all the while. When Sus stops XI motion for him to come over and starts to fan him as he did before, staying quiet for a bit, not wanting to break the spell the evening and Sus had woven, just yet. After it seemed that Sus had cooled off some and caught his breath better, XI moved in and nuzzled his face and neck against Sus'* That was as enchanting and amazing as last time you danced for me, *he whispered and nosed Sus' cheek* I wanted to keep up, but you have me out stepped, even with your eyes blindfolded and one leg tied to a stump you'd out dance me, I have a feeling.
Sus lifted his head and neck at the fanning and smiled closing his eyes completely happy with everything he'd just said and the look on his face and the way he touched him and he nuzzled back into XI tenderly not wanting to forget a word of it. "I'm so glad you liked it XI. We're taught that dance from a very young age... I hope that maybe someday... You'll do it for me too? I'm sure I can teach you... if you like." He didn't tell him what the dance meant exactly; and he was almost afraid too. He breathed in XI's scent happily and licked his neck to his ear. "I'm only so good as my audience makes me."
XI: I'm sure you can as well, I'd love to try, I'd love to see it again, I've seen lots of dances before but your dance is truly wondrous, is it a clan tradition or something? Let's go down to the lake and get a drink, hmm? *he chuckled and winked at Sus* My clan is from the desert as I have told you, our traditions say that the watches are, no matter their rank, due to dote upon the performer for a time, in exchange for the entertainment. You've given me a wonderful show, there isn't anything I'd rather do to pass the evening time than to watch you move, but here I do not have an urn to offer you a drink from, and fanning you alone doesn't feel like enough of a reward.
Sus: -tells him simply and honestly staying close to XI- "Being by your side is enough of a reward for me XI." -he pulled back and smiled at him nosing him again; trying to mimic the looks he'd given him before turning and walking towards the lake; leading the way since he had more of the lights to guide the both of them with.- "It is a tradition in my herd... You dance it for the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Everyone's a bit different... and that's how you know who your meant to be with... They can't help but watch you." -he told him shyly-
XI: Just being together, hmm, *noses him and chuckling at the flirty glances thrown his way, he goes after Sus his long ears turned forward so that he could hear everything Sus said over the sounds of the insects and night creatures as he followed Sus down to the lake, he cocked his head, understanding, and unsure at the same time* It must be a bit different for outsiders though, if you grow up seeing everyone glow and dance and flash, finding that one that you can't look away from is natural, but for the rest of us, I don't know that it's the same, I liked to watch all the dances I've seen and while your dance is admittedly the best and most interesting I've seen, is that the only basis one would judge on... Enchanting twirling lights are entertaining, but you're not just talking about entertainment value... *he kept walking down to the shore with Sus and stepped into the water, letting the edges of his wings dip too*
Sus: -nods his head about that agreeing with him fully- "You're right; it's true. That's why I plan to dance for you every night; each dance more elaborate and grand then the next! So that no one else will be able to take your gaze away from me when I'm around!" -he told him filled with a reassurance that only a young buck could have. HE was happy and so relieved that XI hadn't turned him down flat like that. That he instead just showed him the flaw of his thinking; he agreed with XI; a lot of Herla watched him when he danced; but he only cared if XI watched him.- "The thing is though." -he told him coming to a stop in the water- "For us... the dance; is like... the body. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they dance. Life itself is a dance. It's the interaction between partners. The bumbling of meeting a new person; and how they awkwardly dance around a person; the intimate dance of two lovers as they embrace one another and become one... the sweet and innocent dance of a father with his child. It's all a dance."
XI: "You really want to be with me for the rest of your life?" He asked, surprise tinging his voice, "I hope you've noticed that, I don't let my gaze wander around at all, I've never taken that close a notice of anyone else as an individual, not once since I left home. I know herla see me as an idol or something, I'm gorgeous because of my breeding, and I love being noticed, the attention. It makes me feel above them, to be so wanted by so many. But I don't want to hurt you. I know that much. If you want me as a part of your dance... I don't know, if I can be an equal partner to you, worthy of you. You have connections and vibrant spirit and pure energy that just pours off you in waves, I can even feel it here, between us in the water. You have so much to give. I don't want to just take from you, Sus, you deserve more than that."
Sus: -nods his head; certain of it. He'd been certain of it from the moment he'd first saw XI talking to some other herla. He'd been so happy to have had E wake him up early like that- "I can't stop watching you XI..." He told him honestly not sure how else to put it. "The way you dance through life... The way you move... You enchant me XI... if you don't know it. You caught my eye first... Now I'm just trying to do the same." He smiled up at him nervously; wanting to touch him but not sure if this was the right time to do it. "You're gorgeous because you're you." He told him seriously. He got a sad sort of smile on his face and let out a small chuckle. "You could never hurt me XI... I say I only want you to look at me... but... so long as you came back to me at night; spent your nights with me... I could be happy. With just that; I would be happy."
XI: If you want me you'd have to take on all of me Susan. I wouldn't accept anything less than all of you. Forget everything else you are, ever were, ever wanted to be, I want all of it. I'll give you the the same. I won't share you with anyone, I don't care if anyone else looks at me, I have few friends and no family, a dark past and am demanding and jealous. Do you want all that too? *XI had shifted back into deeper water, it washed over his back and soaked his wings, and he continued to step back, going deeper*
Sus: I want all of you XI." -he told him following him into the water; step for step he'd follow him to his death if he needed to. "The jealousy; the past; the demanding nature; it's you and I want all of it." He whimpered at the thought of it all but he wasn't scared in the least. "I only want to be yours XI. Own me. I don't care; just let me be yours." He told him; looking at him with wide eyes innocent eyes. "I don't want to be shared XI; I want to be your friend; your family; your lover. I want you to be all of that for me too. Just say yes." He almost pleaded; wanting to keep the begging desperation from his voice. "I want to know you XI; know your mind; your heart; I want to know your hopes and fears. I want to become present and your future. And I want to be the same for you. I don't want anyone else Only you." And in his mind it felt as if that was the only way it could have ever been. Only XI.
"Then I am yours," XI relented and stopped moving backwards, the water was lapping at their chins, this was his clans 'courtship dance', the calm lake wasn't quite the same as the river in the desert, during the rainy season when endless amounts of water poured from the sky and the earth couldn't drink it all in and the river swelled to dangerous swirling depths couples would brave it together, crossing from one bank to the other without hesitation. For XI's clan it had keep the unsure from making rash decisions, and built trust, but that was all a lifetime away, now it had been a spur of the moment thing, and XI wondered for only the briefest of moment what he parents would have thought of him mating to this male, with a smile, he was sure that they would have approved, regardless of if it was true or not, he smiled anyway and lifted his sodden wings and splashed Sus then lunging forward and kissing him on the nose and dashing backwards, as much as he could dash, being neck deep in water, "Catch me if you can~"

Sus shivered at the nuzzles; it all overwhelming him; the nuzzles; the licks; the nuzzles; the fact that he was his... with out question; and oh god. His legs felt like it was going to give out. His knees buckled and he let out a sort of "oh god!" Noise but he didn't go down. He clung to XI tightly and nuzzled him hotly. "Is it to soon to say I think I love you?"
XI chuckled and did his best to keep Sus upright, slowly going to his knees to take Sus down, so that he didn't topple over and hurt himself. "To soon? I want to be yours, when would be a better time to say it?" *nuzzles Sus more* Besides I feel the same.
Sus smiled just leaning against XI and just taking him in. "I don't know... maybe we should get to know each other a bit more?" He said nervously. "Be with each other a bit longer?" He nuzzled against him. "I don't want to be one of those herla that just jumps head first you know? I mean; I want you. god I want you. Every minute of every day. But even as just a friend I would be happy."
XI frowned lightly, "Well, then, I won't hold you to anything, until you're ready... I'll tell you anything about myself that you wish to know, I've only been honest with you so far, I think." XI settled on the ground, not caring that he was getting mud all over, that his wings were mussed and crumpled and that his hair was a mess, he sighed, thinking to himself that the first time these feelings felt real to him, in all his years, it had to be someone half his age and so unsure. He would be patient, he'd waited this long, what else was he going to do.
Sus laid down next to him and put his head over XI's shoulder feeling bad now when he saw him frown. He started to shower XI in licks and nuzzles. "I'm sorry XI. Just; my guardian says I should get to know you first... and I hadn't expected you to say you felt the same... so fast. I mean; I feel so strongly for you XI. And I'll never stray or look any way other than at you. Ever." He told him seriously; looking at him just as seriously. "You're the most amazing male I've ever met. And I already know I want to spend the rest of my life by your side. But like; what about the big things; like; would you move back with me to my herd? Would you raise fawns with me? That sort of stuff."
XI chuckled, "That's fine, that's fine, I'm not expecting you to be my pet or worship me or some nonsense like that, Sus. I would prefer if you didn't actually. Don't be sorry, just, ask. I never expected to feel the same for you, but I can't deny what I feel. I need you in my life. I'm sure of it, or else I just want you to be there." He twitched a wing and lay his head down, "I don't have any family, or a home to call my own, my entire herd was lost to me, everyone dead, so if you wish us to return to your home, I have no objections to that."
Sus laid his head over XI's when he laid his down in the mud like that; he must have been really upset if he was willing to lay in the mud like that. "I'll be your family now XI." He told him lovingly. "Me and Hong. can be your family XI." He added on to that; nuzzling into him sweetly. "We can never leave each others side <3 We can be there for each other <3 Be each others shoulder of support." He curled in tightly against XI and just sort of laid there; touching him. "I don't know... if what I feel is the love of someone for their mate.... but I know this for sure. I have strong feelings for you XI. And I don't want to squander it."
XI wasn't overly upset, it had happened a long, long time ago, and he'd had time to be horrified and go through the mourning process, he was just comfortably numb to the idea now, having resigned himself long ago to the idea that he really would be the last of his family and clan and that the desert herd was forever gone. XI smiled up at Sus though from where the other was laying he might not have seen it. "I'm content with that, if that is all it ever comes to between us."
Sus stayed curled up next to him for a few moments longer; quietly contemplating what to say next. He knew he felt so strongly for XI; but he didn't want to call it love; not yet. He didn't want to jinx it. And he was so afraid that if he said the L word so soon; something bad would happen. He pulled his head up and looked down at XI. He was amazing; and awesome; and so just spectacularly kind. "XI. I know this much; You're going to be the most important thing to me in the world. And I don't need any time to think about that."
"That's very sweet Sus, I haven't had anyone I've felt that way about, since back then, and back then, ah," he chuckles, "it was my mother. If you think I'm beautiful, she was even more so." XI leaned his head up, shaking it, not knowing where all this was coming from. These were memories he'd long ago repressed, and never talked about, Sus didn't care about all this, XI didn't need to tell it and weight Sus down with the past truths, "But never mind all that," XI murmured, "was there anything else you wanted to know straight off?"
Sus ears perked at the mention of his mother and he nosed at him curiously. "I bet you're mother was the most beautiful thing in the world <3 My mom was kind of plain... and so was my Dad. That's why I have to snazzy myself up." He laughed lightly even though his feeling about his parents were nothing but bitter sad memories. "What was you're mom like?" he asked a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes.
"She was to me, no matter what anyone else thought, but I think the feeling was mutual throughout the entire clan," Xi's voice was soft and distant, answering at once, though he had just thought that he didn't want to dredge the memories up. "She was kind, gentle, soft spoken, but also very strong, her mind, her will, she was an excellent ruler, or so I was taught, but they were not lessons as the world teaches them. More like, simple truths, the sun rises and sets, the seasons change, you just know this is how it always was, this is how it will always be, at least, through a child's eyes." XI was quiet for a bit, and turned to look at Sus, "They made you, so they couldn't have been all bad?" He was teasing slightly, not aware of how wrong he was.
Sus listened to XI talking intensely; not wanting to miss a moment of what he said; wanting to remember it all for XI to know what he could or could not talk about. He liked the way his mother sounded. He wished he'd had a mom like that. She sounded wonderful; like a real mom. But then he said that word... ruler. Ruler? RULER! D8 "XI? are you a prince?" He asked; his ears back and his eyes wide. He'd never met a prince before. Even his own herd didn't have a ruler, not really.
XI blinked, he'd told more than he wanted to, how was it that Sus had gotten under his defenses so easily, without him even noticing. These were things he never ever told anyone else, for they were pointless, he shook his head. "No, Sus. There is no longer a clan to lead, the land and everyone that lived there is dead, I am no longer a prince, what is a prince without a kingdom? He is nothing. It is just a useless title, not who I am."
Sus could tell right off the bat he wasn't supposed to know that; and it made him feel even more special that he did. He licked XI's cheek and nuzzled into him sweetly. "You can be my prince <3 I'll be your follower <3 I'd follow you anywhere XI." He told him honestly; almost a whisper. "Besides. It's kind of cool. I'd never known a prince before. Even if it doesn't matter anymore; it's pretty cool~ I snagged me some royalty." He laughed lightly and licked his cheek again; nipping at his ear before lifting himself up and out of the mud. "Besides; it all makes sense now. It works~ cause you're so awesome; and regal; and just so... amazing. It kind of makes me feel not so bad for not being as good as you are."
XI stood after Sus did, he looked the other male up and down and then down at himself, he was coated in mud and completely disheveled, "This is regal and awesome?" And then XI laughed, not at Sus, but at himself, he felt lighter somehow, even if he had not wanted to share, Sus listened and accepted it and was alright with it, not questioning his past further or anything like that. "I've changed my mind, Susan," He bowed lightly to the other male, "Besides being yours, I wish to tell you that, I do love you. I'm sure of it, and I am also sure that you will come to love me even more so, because I will set all my happiness upon you, all my long buried hopes and fears, and dreams are yours." He closed the space between them and nuzzled against Sus, nosing his cheek, "You are better than I am, in my eyes, Susan."
Sus totally believed that XI was regal and awesome and amazing and a hundred other amazing things even if he was covered in mud. Even if he was messy and disheveled. And when XI laughed; he couldn't help but smile; a sort of small; happy; relieved smile. He titled his head curiously when XI started talking again; he wasn't sure if knew where this was going. Was he supposed to bow in return? But as he went to do that his head stopped; and he stared at him; opened mouth; his ears going down and his tail hiding between his legs. He loved him? He was sure of it? He felt something go through him; felt his heart swell; felt everything in him quiver at that statement. And when nuzzled him; and nosed his cheek. He closed his eyes and felt a shiver roll through his body at how amazing his prince was. He wasn't better than XI was; no one could be better; never ever. There was no way. He nuzzled back into him and held him close. "Don't disappoint me XI..." He whispered sadly. "I don't think I could live through the disappointment of ever losing you."
"I'd rather be dead than lose you now Sus, you're all I have." XI whispered. It was the truth, though XI had made friends in his travels, he'd never felt this much for them, he never wanted anything from them, but for this single male, all dangling glows sticks and bright colors. XI nuzzled Sus under the chin, lifting his head back up and wrapping his neck around Sus' just to be as close to him as he could. "You have to live through everything else that comes your way now, that way I can continue on, right at your side."
Sus took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. "You're wonderful." He told him. Not in a whisper, not in a murmur. He said it frankly and full of honesty. He lifted his chin when XI nuzzled under him. "I'll live through eternity with you XI. Just to never disappoint you." He told him sweetly. Pressing his forehead against Xi's forehead as well; and looking deep into his eyes. Trying to give him that same fire filled stare. "But XI~ you and I... we need to take a bath. I'll waaaash you~" He sing-songed playfully.
XI grinned at the glowing gaze Sus gave him, "I'll hold you to that. You've promised me forever and I accept." XI turned then and moved off towards the water again, scanning the surface of the lake, looking for the clearest water near the shallows, "Come on, Sus, we both need to get clean."
