According to the website the sixth book will be the last one from Rose's point of view. There will be a spin-off however, due in 2012, from another character's point of view. Anybody have any guesses as to why this book will be the last from Rose's prospective? And any guesses as to who the story will be told by in the future?

I think it's the end of Rose's narration because it's going to be the end of her story. Just as plain and simple as that. There doesn't have to be some complex reason behind it. Mead is finished writing from Rose's perspective. All there is to it.
As for the spin-off, I hope it's from Adrian's perspective, because I love him so goddamn much. But, I think she'll choose someone that we noticed, but someone that didn't really play a key part in the story, so she can drift away from the old story and start a little fresher.

lol. uh yeah i agree. Rose's narration is ending cuz well her story is ending..... (OMIGOSH...i can't wait to read the last book...i am sooo excited....)
Ha, for the spin-off...yeah i'd like the narration to be Adrian's perspective... I love him too! lol. But his character is soo...interesting! And it's easy to fall for his character...i think so he'd get lots of love! ha ha...
But before...when i heard there's gonna be a spin off...i heard the new character's perspective...would be Vladmir.... you know...who Anna protects like Rose with Lissa... but i'm not sure...if that's gonna be that. But a perspective from Adrian's point of view would be nice and i bet it'd be funny....to read what's inside his mind and his thoughts...lol...
heh...i guess we'll have to see when we hear more info about it....

I would love the spin off to be from Adrian's or Christian's perspective, but you never know whose point of view Mead could end up writing from. I'm really hoping for Adrian or Christian though, not only would it be interesting, but it would give us more insight into their personalities.

Side characters we know from the current series will now be the main characters, and there'll be a whole new storyline (not the last one told from a different perspective).
