fathom walked and cut his studies of the opponent a little short as he tried to study him fast he then took into analysis the homunculus power within him "tch once again another leader of the military is a homunculus its been to long since i fought a homunculus before i better get ready not to kill him i want that core of his" (sorry if im jumping into that subject or explaining how he knows why he's a homunculus)

he used a type of alchemic rebound to counter shock the spikes away and to the ground. "well that wasn't very strong but i guess i can still have my turn" he said standing up

"well then my turn" he told him as he placed his fingers on the floor followed by a red glow as he now started to use his new ability as just then spikes shot out of the ground two feet ahead of fathom and started to rush towards kira from the growned with one popping up after another getting closer and closer "all i need is either a hit or for him to dodge as he's as good as wounded pretty fatal and then its match" he mumbled as he never changed his strait face to a smile nor a frown just strait unreadable emotions

"i guess that'll work" he said moving his fingers from on the ground and making the spikes shoot out from the sides and coming from the sides and the back trapping him in a ball as fathom then got up and ran to the side and tried to get there before the attack hit

the attacked stopped right before it was supposed to hit as fathom jumped into the spikes and slashed them all precisely and bashed them all at him at critical speeds to try and destroy the ball as he then stopped to use something different
