Once again Cloud found herself on the trail of a scent, male, but so similar to her own... only not. But there was a second scent it was nearly the same, nearly, only quite female. It didn't make sense. Cloud had already met her mother. Who was this other female? It smelled too much like her father to be her mother, didn't it?
The sun was high in the sky as she tread through the water, nearly up to her "knees." She was close, she knew, but... What, exactly, was she planning to do when she met them? What if her father was just as crazy as her mother? What if he rejected her or didn't recognize her or...
Abandonment issues were brewing just under the surface, and depending on how this meeting wet, they could spring forward and overtake her or just sink back down to some unknown, forgotten corner of her psyche.
Suddenly, Cloud froze, overcome with a strange fright. Should she even bother this time?

The two twins were together as usual, doing everything together. They were on a small patch of land around a marshy area. A single tree holding the earth together below them. This particular tree was very tall, and just above their heads many pale fruits hung. They looked a little furry. They were peaches! A very delicious fruit with such sweet favours. The fruit was higher than the two kimeti though, and the fruit was perfectly ripe in the tree, not yet ready to fall to its end.
The twins stared up, intent, hungry. The tree and the kimeti were at a sure standstill, or that's what the tree thought! The two kimeti looked at each other and then Chaser kneeled down under the tree. Carefully, Dancer climbed up on top of his back. Her hooves tried to wobble and flail, but she carefully placed them between his back scales. With Dancer on his back, Chaser slowly stood up, allowing Dancer to grab several of the stems of fruits.
Words were not necessary, and Dancer signaled her other half that she had gathered the necessary fruits. With this knowledge, the buck slowly keeled back down, allowing his other half to safely get off his back. The doe dropped a fruit the buck's head when she seen what she seen in the distance.Ooooh. Shiny.

Keeping her head down as she walked, Cloud continued to follow the scent, noting, with much apprehension, that it was getting stronger.
They- whomever they were- were close!
She hoped she had followed the scent of her father and not that of a sibling- not that it would be terrible to meet a sibling, she was simply more interested, at this time, in meeting her parents. Well. Father. She had already met her mother- and that didn't go so well... Hopefully... With all the hope in her heart, Cloud wished this meeting would be better.
Lost in her thoughts, she didn't realise just how close to the source of the smell she actually was. A fruit rolled to a slow stop in front of her and Cloud lifted her head, looking for the source.
Instead, she found herself face to face with two identical, starry Kimeti.

The doe stared at the other doe, wide eyed and half way to the point of misdemeanor. She had to shake her head, and then tilted her neck slightly to look at the buck, who instead was looking at the fruit she had dropped... and then at the foot of the fruit there was a surprise waiting for him. A ghost from the past perhaps? She looked very familiar. That hair style... The twins looked at each other and seemed to come to the same conclusion at the same time.
"Bush!"
Their cute, little doe came back to them! She seemed to have lost the blush she had before though... Perhaps she was a different bush. They smiled at her, staring her down face to face with a less than predatory look. They weren't gonna eat her, but she wasn't entirely safe either.
"Greetings," they said, breathing completely in sync.

Cloud blinked, Bush? What did that have to do with anything, she wondered as she openly stared at the pair of Kimeti before her.
They stared back, they... spoke to her?
"Hello, there." she said softly, her nerves getting the better of her as she dropped her head to the ground, absently dragging one hoof in a small circle around the fruit that had landed before her.
How did she start this conversation? After all her mother had done most of the talking while she had stood there lamenting the insanity of the doe.
She hoped this wasn't the start of another interaction with the crazy.
Lifting her head once again she began, "My name is Diamond Nimbus," she smiled timidly, her anxiety rising another level.

The twins hurried over to the new doe, inspecting her thoroughly. They exchanged glances, and then looked at the shiny doe. They seemed to stare at each other, discussing something silently. Un-exchanged words were their forte after all. After a moment though, they turned to the new doe and gave her their ever so charming and dashing smiles.
"Twilight," they said.
"I am Dancer,"
"I am Chaser,"
"Do you like bushes?" They asked, completely, but not so randomly.

Cloud chewed nervously on her tongue as she was inspected by the pair that seemed so eager to talk to her. She remained nervous, however, and kept her head down, only looking up when they began speaking again.
She shied away from their attractive smiles, feeling awkward, just so awkward.
"Ah..." she was going to say hello again, but they continued talking after introducing themselves.
Bushes? Again?
Cloud shifted uneasily, "Well, I suppose I don't dislike bushes." she mused, watching them curiously.

Did you hear that? She didn't dislike bushes. That was wonderful! Bushes were nothing but nice to everyone as it caught one doe for prey and then combed her hair. See. Nice to everyone. There was no reason to dislike them. The pair smiled.
"That's wonderful. Since you do not dislike bushes, what else do you like then?" The two asked, curiously.

Cloud seemed to consider their question for a moment, staring off at some point in the distance that only her eyes could focus on.
"Well..." she started, "I like watching clouds." her voice drifted away before she turned back to them with some conviction in her eyes, "Family?" she asked, rather than told.

The two kimeti could agree with that. Clouds were nice and fluffy, wonderful to watch as they gracefully passed through the sky. Day skies, night skies, dusk skies, all skies. Clouds loved them all. They loved clouds.
"Clouds are nice," Chaser said.
And then the twins looked at each other.
"Family?"
Was that another thing she liked?

Cloud nodded in reply, "Family." she smiled. "It is a thing to like, isn't it?" she asked, her eyes moving back and forth somewhat rapidly.
She was finding it extremely difficult to remain focused on any one thing. It was so difficult to not just come out and say it.

The two looked at the pretty doe, and nodded their heads. It would be nice to have family, very nice indeed. It put thoughts of making family into their heads. The does they seduced always left without them knowing she was pregnant, and so the idea of them having any sort of family seemed unknown to them.
"We agree," they both said.

"Perhaps..." she started shyly, once again dragging her hoof around in strange shapes.
"You smell like me." she said softly, finally staring up at the buck. Her heat beat rapidly in her chest and she wondered, briefly, if the other Kimeti could hear it.
"But you smell too much like my mother..."
