Catriona D'aunun Trin lay on the head of her Leo putting a few patch welds in place. The surprise attack by those unknown mecha had knocked the Leo's "mane" loose, but such things were to be expected from an older model mech. she patted her unit fondly.

 Kai sighed, nesting himself on one of the razor whips that hund from the helm of his mech. He stared up at the mech, having not used it for quite a bit due to his own injuries seemed to stir his feelings and wants to again climb into the suit and continue his job. He looked across the isle of the hanger and whistled to get Trin's attention. Trin...How long until you think I'll be able to continue my job? Ive been laying on my a** for months. I mean, the damn surprise attack wasnt that bad on me...My mech took most of the damage..

Your back on you damn job when the captain is satisfied Kai! Damn do you have to ask that every 35 minutes? Not like I don't have molten metal a foot from my face! Trin lay back down to finish her soldering.

Kai rolled his eyes and dropped down from the whip and walked over to Trin. Look, Not my fault I havent worked for months..If only that ambush didnt happen.. Kai leaned against her mech, his arms crossed over his chest.

Kai snarled at her, eyeing the Leo before looking back at Trin. Yea, the FIRST war! This thing should either be remodeled or turned into scrap metal!

Ill have you know leo is full upgraded and modified a*****e! And unlike the gazelle models it doesn't suffer electrical shorts!

Captain Stark had nothing to be mad about! What if something happens before Im off medical leave? all of you migh be defeated or someting! Im not going to sit on my a** while something may be happening right now! Kai huffed and walked back to his gazelle, he was tired of verbal fights and ached to sit back in his mech. He climbed onto the boarding deck and opened the hatch to his mech before slipping into the seat.

Kai ignored her and focused on the controls of his mech. His han flipped the switch, which lowered the glass windshield down over the control panel where he was seated. Kai strapped himself in and made sure his weapons worked, moving each and flinching when they made a horid screech. Kai turned on the engine and listened as it purred.

Cornelius sat chuckling to himself as he listened to Kai and Trin argue.
After his late breakfast Cornelius decided to continue his Morning routines by checking over his Mech. The others were so busy arguing they never noticed him enter. Giving his Mech a once over, Cornelius grunted with approval. Other than some Aesthetic scarring there was no damage done. Snipers were a pain but His baby could handle it any Long range rounds they could fire. He almost sympathized with Kai, but that remark about First war Mechs not being able to hold their own took that idea right from his head. After all, HE had BEEN in the First war himself, Even gaining some crazy honors and what not, Not that he ever wanted any of that, and he knew his Baby could tear Kais apart. But, No need to mention any of that. Beta and Alpha squads were at odd most of the time and He really didn't need to aggravate it further.
The Systems Check beeped the alert that everything was finished in the Onboard computers. Good. He was needed on patrol later and he really didn't need his Mech shutting down or anything. He was chewed out for that last time. His Captain was a fool, to say it Kindly.
"Oi! Would you two just go have sex or something and let the rest of us work in peace?"
Sheesh. Tensions run high and then everybody wants to kill anything, even if it's their own team mates. These Newbies needed to learn that a good nights company could cure that. Heh. THat would certainly be worth betting on. Maybe he would take some bets from the rest of his and Alpha squad. Easy money was always good for moral.
