 Caellach snorted softly as he moved across the plains. His pace was somewhat slow... but it was very steady, and thanks to his larger size, the armored Soquili was still just as fast-moving (and sometimes faster) as any other Soq out there.
However, he didn't really have a particular destination in mind... simply exploring the area. Spotting a stream in the distance, the stallion turned his steps that way, glancing down calmly as a rabbit scampered off into the taller grasses.

Standing in a stream, eying her reflection, Ambrosia gave out a small huff. She shook her head and watched as the metal chains rattled and clanged against the armor on her back. Ever since finding out she was 'graced' with the metal saddle, bridle and bit set, the mare thought it was normal to have it. It was as she grew and met other soquili that had the lack of the items, when she started to have her doubts.
Glancing at her mirror image in the coll liquid yet again, she sighed. "I guess it's not too bad. At least it makes me unique." She mused lightly to herself.

It was only after he got to the stream that Caellach realized he wasn't alone. There was a mare here, just downstream of him. Eyeing her for a moment, he saw that she had some kind of strange saddle on ... a bit like his own, but all made of metal.
Hmm... well, really it wasn't any of his concern. If she spoke to him, he would reply - but he tended to be a somewhat solitary creature. Bending his head, the stallion took a drink from the stream, enjoying the cool water.

Ambrosia checked her reflection for a bit longer, before letting out a snort. What was she getting upset about? So what if she was the only one with this armor on her back? That made her unique and she knew that she was still beautiful, no matter what! Puffing out her chest proudly, she started to climb out of the stream.
It was hearing something approaching, that she looked up a bit cautiously. That's when she saw the rather large stallion walking to the water. As he drank, the mare eyed him curiously. Her theory about being unique was now out of the window as she spotted the saddle like thing on his back. But, that wasn't the only thing she had noticed. The stallion had a horn, but rather than being on his forehead... it was on his nose? Quirking a brow, she slowly made her way toward him.

The stallion saw the mare's movement out of the corner of his eye and turned to watch her approach. Once she was only a few feet away, he bobbed his head slightly in greeting. "Nice day," he commented, voice quite deep and rather rumbling... and yet soft at the same time.

Ambrosia stopped when the stallion finally noticed her and gave her a greeting, a short distance away. With a small flick of her tail, she bowed her head in return, the chain hanging from her mouth rattling as the links knocked against each other. "Greetings." She replied in a gentle yet sultry voice.

Well, it seemed that she was a mare of few words ... at least, at the moment. Not that he minded overmuch, it simply meant that he'd have to move the conversation along if he wished to find out a bit more about her. And indeed, he was rather curious, underneath that calm of his.
So he stepped away from the water a little and asked, "What brings you here..? Do you live nearby?"

Her eyes scanned the male over. For one thing, he was the largest stallion she ever came across. He towered over her by a few feet or so, she had to actually crane her neck up to make any sort of eye contact. But, just like she had caught sight of earlier, he wore some primitive form of armor. It being primitive, simply because it seemed to have less components than hers. Not that it was a bad thing, she would prefer to have his armor than what she had on her back right now.
As he stepped away from the water, she had actually remained in it, the cool liquid feeling rather good around the base of her legs. At his question, she shook her head some. "No, I don't live nearby. I just wanted to take a walk and think over some small things." Well, the last part wasn't totally true, but she didn't want to say that she was thinking of something major and have him think he was interrupting and leave.

Caellach noticed the way she was looking at his armor, and couldn't help but feel a little bit proud of it, though he'd never let that show. Some seemed to find it silly, or unnecessary, but seeing as this mare had more on than he did ... well. She just might be different.
"Would it be presumptuous of me to ask what small things you're thinking about?" he asked then, tilting head just a little bit.

His armor was just so interesting, and of course, he was such a large stallion so she took awhile to look him over. Inwardly though, she felt that he was rather lucky. He wore such a minimal type of armor, while she... she had the cumbersome load of metal on her body. Her tail flicked in light annoyance and tossing her head lightly, chan clinking heavily, as she finally returned her attention to him rather than what he 'wore'.
His question caught her a bit off guard and she blinked up at him. She then calmed and sighed, shaking her head softly. "No, it's not presumptous at all," she started, giving him a small smile, "to be honest, I can't really say just one small thought as I was thinking of many things. But, if I had to pick just one I was thinking of in particular, I would have to say my armor."
