Kamiya had managed to pull away from her new companion for an early-morning stroll, and she was glad for some fresh air. She didn't exactly dislike her traveling buddy, she simply had not expected to obtain a tagalong and, now that she had one, she was a bit vexed as to what to do with herself.
She had left Kapu'Moana largely with intentions of simply seeing the world, of exploring and seeing what was going on in the world around her -- but in her heart, she knew she was still looking for the prince. Now, though, Kailani had been gone for ages, and Kami had heard nothing of the search party, either....
...And she had Marion now, tailing her. In a way, it truly felt that Kami had sustained some sort of babtism, and the feeling of having left something behind greatly confused her.
Kamiya wasn't much of a wolf to enjoy confusion, and she shook herself vigorously, as though to rid her pelt of water. It wasn't worth musing on the past or the future: Kamiya was like a shark, always moving forward, and she cared only for the moment.
And, in the moment, it was a lovely morning. Pale, early light filtered through the trees, and the scent of wildflowers filled the air. She'd catch herself some breakfast, she decided -- capture some breakfast, and perhaps bring some home for Marion, just to be nice.
Pleased at having something tangible to focus on, the wolf started into the underbrush, senses heightened for the hunt.

It was a wonderful day in the neighborhood, well there really wasn’t a neighborhood but Vaughn liked to think that way sometimes it was nice to think that maybe you weren’t along in a world that just seems too silent all the time. Glancing around Vaughn continued on his journey through being left behind.
Trotting around the whole forest had been an advantage and surprisingly not that alone as he had thought it to be but he still didn’t have a real home yet… He still wasn’t able to have the full livelihood that a wolf should have with a full pack and alpha and everything. He was now on a mission to find something, a family.
It was funny how one minute you can be sad and then the next you can easily be perked up by distract, like a need for things or a want for things. Searching for food was an easy enough distraction to start with!
Running off in the direction of anything Vaughn sniffed out a form of food that he could eat.

Kamiya sniffed at the ground and the air, brow furrowing; she wasn't finding much in the way of tantalizing odors, and that annoyed her. There was a river nearby, of course, but she refused to fish; she had eaten nothing but fish for much of her life, trapped in that cove of the Kapu'Moana, and she wasn't in much hurry to get back to it. Hunting was a point of pride. It was what had separated her from the weak, pathetic upper classes of the elite.
Besides, it was fun to chase rabbits. Got the heart pumping. An experience that, sadly, no amount of fish would ever replace.
Resigning herself to search harder, she crept into the woods, nose to the earth, still searching for something to munch on.

Vaughn’s blood raced through his veins as he sniffed the area trying to check a hint of a rabbit or something, anything really. Huffing Vaughn trotted through the area wondering on his family’s choice of teaching him, if they really wanted him to die as an outcast they shouldn’t have trained him so thoroughly. Pumping his paws against the ground Vaughn raced through the bushes, pounding against the ground knowing all too well that if there wasn’t a scent of rabbit or something small like that around one area then you moved on.

Kamiya picked up her pace slightly, catching the odor of something or another on the air and -- just as she was beginning to lock in on the scent, she became aware of another scent, and the sound of movement. Before she could check herself, she pressed through the undergrowth and found herself directly in the path of a stranger, the blue male hurtling toward her at a decent speed. She yelped in surprise, but would be unable to get out of the way if he did not veer off his course before impact.

Unfortunately for Vaughn once he looked up from the ground and looked on to the female his back legs froze locking up and making him stumble face first into the ground, but at least he didn’t run the wolf over that calmed him a bit to know that he wouldn’t be touching any females today. Rolling onto his feet Vaughn shook out his fur making sure to get every drop of dirt off of him before having to deal with the female.

Kami stood her ground, staring down at the face-planted wolf with one slowly raised eyebrow. "Smooth," she said, a slight smirk upon her maw. She settled to her haunches, watching him with tilted head. "You alright?"

Glancing quickly in the direction of the female wolf Vaughn looked back to himself making sure he was clean, “Yeah yeah… Good… I’m good.” Nodding Vaughn quickly did his best to not focus on the female, he could feel his nerves start to make him shake.

"Right." She continued watching him with impassive, brilliantly blue eyes, smirk firmly planted on her maw. What a pushover, she thought, and only barely constrained a laugh. "You're trembling," she pointed out, her eyes dropping to his paws, which seemed to be shaking. She glanced around, to make sure they're alone. "You running away from somebody?"

Glancing around to follow the movement of the females eyes Vaughn could feel his nerves heighten, they are alone right? He wondered now hoping they were he couldn’t deal with two females his world would just end. Gulping Vaughn took in a deep breath not smelling another, “No, we are alone…” It was always hard to explain his fear to another, they always thought him weak. “I just have a slight problem with females…” Shifting his gaze away Vaughn felt ashamed admitting that right off the bat.

"Problem with females?" She demanded, hackles raising in aggression. She rose to her paws, immediately taking on an intimidating stance. "And just what is your problem with females?" her eyes narrowed. "Listen, bud, if you're one of those high-on-yourself man's man types that think all females are just a piece of tail and should all be sweet and quiet and submissive, you've run yourself into the wrong girl."

Vaughn could feel all of his blood rushing to leave his head, a female was yelling at him! ‘s**t… s**t…’ Gulping Vaughn could feel his lungs start to fill with air, he could feel himself pant, feel his heart beat quicken this wasn’t good he felt like he was going to pass out. “I… No I didn’t… mean it… That way…” But before he could explain Vaughn clasped against the ground his nerves making him twitched ever now and again until he was just a solid mass of passed out wolf on the ground.

She stared down at him, her brows lifted so high they threatened to raise off her head. "Interesting," she noted, to no one in particular, and glanced around herself once more. "That's...well, that's something, for sure."
Shrugging, she rose to her paws and walked past him, washing her paws of the whole ordeal. Now then...back to hunting...

Rustling gentle in his sleep Vaughn finally awoke, thankfully his fainting acts don’t last long but when he woke up the female that was there before wasn’t… Was that a good thing? Glancing around Vaughn sniffed the air; no she wasn’t far, should he get up and go after her or ignore her presence and leave?
His noble half had to make sure she was completely offended by what he said, quickly pushing himself off the ground he went in the direction he sniffed the female was.
“Hello?”

"You're an insistent little thing, aren't you?" Kami said, pausing in her tracks; she felt his presence near her, and cast her eyes back at him, regarding him with amused disdain. "Did you hit your head back there and forget that you don't like me?"
