THe barrac are where the shinigami of squad 8 socialize or relax, dormitories can also befound in the barracs as well. There's nothing special on the inside, each member has the right to decorize their area of the barac as they see fit, due to this nothing is added until they arrive. On the outside of the barrac is a garden with a koshi pond, filled with fish of assorted colors. Cherry Blossom trees can be found around the pond as well of equally beautiful flowers. This area is most common to find the captain if not any where else. He is usually humming a tune or sketching art.

It was a rather peaceful night, the moon was full and it was a perfect time for a cup of Saki. Taking out his cup, he raised it to about chest level, and poured from his rather large bottle of saki. His face was flustered, and his had soft blush from cheek to cheek. His subordinates were out, or slee, and he some time to himself. Placing the rim of the cup to his lips, he cocked his head back and sipped. He poured again and raised it to the moon. "A toast, to you." He said mind clearly on something other than exquisite taste of his saki. "Little sister."
After a few more drinks, Masamune got up from his usual spot in the garden just out side his squad's barracs. He let out a slight yawn of bordom and walked inside. He found a table and placed his cup and saki there. The bottle was near empty, any one else would be prancing around in there shorts but he was still level headed. With a sigh he wandered over out of the barrac's onto the streets wandering what the other's were up to.
Five steps outside the barracs he got bored instantly and turned around. "Hmmm I wonder what's to read." He said walking back into the barracs and going around looking for an interesting book. Finding nothing but a few of his subordinates love novels, he opted to read one. "Hmmm Dark Lovers?" He said reading out the title. He found his usual seat in the garden and opened the book and began reading.
