Merikh simply couldn't believe this had happened to him - he'd had the majority of his life pre-planned. He'd managed to catch himself the Alpha's daughter as his promised mate, had convinced the Alpha he was a more promising heir then his own son suffice to say he was on the fast track to success.
And then that wretch had up and run off. It was humiliating, Merikh had practically felt the Alpha's eyes burning into his hide when the transgression had been discovered. How could he take care of the entire pack when he couldn't even keep control of his mate to be?
So here he was outcast, exiled in shame, his reputation sinking into the mud faster then a drowning boar until he found her and returned with her properly at heel. Sighing in disgust at these thoughts the bright wolf stalked through the forest in a goodly temper.

A week through and Vaughn was already having problems with living on his own, he wasn’t high on the food chain concerning breeding or having a life outside of training so he could thankfully survive on that but to suddenly be thrown into the wild on his own? It still didn’t sit well with him even after the short while alone.
Letting out another low howl Vaughn was searching, searching for anything now… Female, murderer, hunter, just something he could sit with for 5 minutes. Letting out a deep sigh Vaughn hiked on glancing around and trying to keep track of where he was heading, which was nowhere.
‘Not Noble enough my butt…’ He was noble! Hell he was at the top of his game, but that didn’t make one noble did it? Another sigh and depressing thought in and Vaughn was still alone.

Merikh's ears swiveled as he head a muttered voice through the tree's, pausing in mid-step to look for this phantom wolf. when at long last the blue beast was spotted Merikh hesitated for a few moments - should he bother stopping to chat? Or just go on through? Of course there was a chance this creature had seen Ki, a slim chance...but a chance none the less.
"You...hey, Blue!" He called out to the muttering wolf who seemed far to lost in his own thoughts to notice him right off the bat, though how anyone could manage to miss him was beyond Merikh.

Vaughn glanced in the direction of the sound, ‘Blue?’ Glancing down at himself Vaughn laughed, he was very blue. It was nice to hear something, another wolf was even better! Smiling gladly he ran off towards the direction of his nickname.
“The names Victory Vaughn.” He skidded to a stop bowing before the brightly colored wolf, “Pinky.” Winking at the male wolf before him Vaughn couldn’t help the nickname cross fire, if he was blue then this fellow wolf was defiantly pink.

Merikh's eye twitched as th other wolf called him..pink, was he implying something? Just because he was such a bright and seemingly feminine color didn't mean anything! Merikh felt the muscle over his eye twitch again in his irritation. There were few things Merikh hated more then being seen as weak because of his fur color. It was completely absurd, fur color had absolutely no correlation to strength what so ever..and what the hell was that little wink, was he trying to flirt? Implying Merikh was...a female?!? The nerve of this little blue mutt!
Merikh glowered at the blue beast. "Isn't Victory a rather girly name?" He retorted "Don't bother answering, I don't actually care I have more important things to deal with. Have you seen other wolves in the area?" He questioned the other wolf, putting a bit of worry in his tone, normally Merikh would just pick a fight after such an offense as calling him 'pinky' but he wanted the information the feminine named wolf might have to offer and to that end making the other believe he was worried about something might allow his instinctual rudeness to be brushed aside.

Vaughn frowned, this wolf was angry at him? What did he do, wasn’t he the one to start the nickname war? Vaughn was just adding to it, ‘Oh great already I’m out here on my own and I’ve totally screwed up…’ But all at once his thoughts lost him, Victory a girly name? What forest did he live in!? Huffing Vaughn trotted over to the wolf, what happened here all Vaughn did was… ‘You know what oh well! I’m not dealing with this!’
Totally ignoring the bright pinkeys question Vaughn went ahead with his insult war. “Victory Vaughn, is a very mainline name other then what you’re called probably… Something that starts with an M I assume? Mauve maybe? Oh wait that’s purple, wouldn’t want to get your colors mixed up, pinkey.” If this wolf wanted a fight he would give him a fight, Vaughn left by his family was now just seriously itching for anything to relieve this anger and if this wolf was in line for it then so be it.

] Merikh snorted as the other wolf tried to tell him the name 'victory' was mainline, an two names? What was that about..was his family trying to compensate themselves for something. "Victory..." he informed the other wolf "Is a name derived from 'Victoria' Which is undoubtedly classified as a female name, furthermore it suggests your parents thought you a victory of some sort, perhaps they had trouble having children before? Or do they instead hope you will be victorious in life? Either way...I'm sure they are very proud" Merikh continued in a tone which sounded sincere and yet practically dripped in sarcasm.
"I am Merikh" He told the other wolf while drawing himself up proudly "Favored second of his high command and on an important mission, I seek a traitorous and vicious female...and shall you not help me then the blood she sheds while you stand here slinging insults shall be on your hands" He continued in a completely serious and cold tone. Did this wolf think he was dealing with a nobody? Just some stupid brute wandering through the woods. Sure Ki-adi was hardly a vicious and dangerous she wolf , but this stranger didn't know it.

Vaughn could feel the blood drain from his face at the mention of his family, an outcast. ‘Victory…’ Keeping a tough stance Vaughn was thrown back in time to his family casting him out and showing him nothing but disgust and hate, why had they named him as they had. As Merikh continued Vaughn felt every blow to the very deepest part of his gut. Then suddenly when Merikh mentioned that of the female wolf Vaughn snapped to attention.
The thought of having a dangerous wolf out there, a female one at that, stung Vaughn. And on top of that his guilt was piling on, she was going to hurt others and it was going to be his fault? Gulping Vaughn glanced around, he hadn’t seen any females and if he had seen any sort of dangerous wolf like Merikh was telling him Vaughn would probably faint and be slaughtered in his sleep. He could feel his heart start to race at the very thought, what was he going to do he couldn’t have this!
“Look… I’m sorry I didn’t mean to insult you, I just… I thought we were messing around.” Bowing before the male Vaughn touched the ground with his nose, “I am truly sorry, please take my forgiveness though I do not deserve it.”

There you see - just a bit of manipulation and this irritation of a wolf was ready to be more cooperative. It was far more easier to get cooperation this way then with violence Merikh had found out , not that he was opposed to bit of physical pressure when it was warranted.
"Fine ,fine - your forgiven" Merikh snapped in an impatient sort of wa while glancing about them as though to make sure said dangerous female wasn't sneaking up on them at this very moment. Wouldn't this blue fellow just be so angry if he knew Ki-adi was more liable to shake in terror then actually hurt someone. No mater really - the important thing was getting her back so that he could go the hell home and leave these nutty, heathenish wolves to their own devices and silly traditions. "Now - she is a Teal and tannish orange wolf with fairly distinctive markings along her back. Have you seen any such creatures?"

Gulping Vaughn shook his head, his fear rising at the slight chance of running into such a vicious sounded female. His temperature was rising as he thought of what could possible happen if he were ot meet up with said female. If he did run into her he’d be helpless against her wanting to kill him, well maybe not helpless but he wouldn’t want to hurt her…
“No… I haven’t seen her but… Do you think, that I could… Possibly go along on your journey to search for her.” If he was with another male, a male who knew her at that would probably help his nerves calm to almost a near stop. Gentle Vaughn touched his nose to the ground making sure to be as submissive as he could to angry male.
