-- Basic (E-rank) --
Mizu Soujuu (Water Manipulation) - [Supplementary] Mizu Soujuu is a technique requiring no hand seals which serves as the building block of all other Suiton techniques. It is the first technique Suiton users learn (many of them discovering it on their own) and is a skill which evolves as the user grows in experience and strength. The skill set includes basic manipulation of water, such as moving it from one area to another, levitating it in the air, or gathering it into a single mass from beads of water around the user, or even from water vapor in the air. Through a mastery of Mizu Soujuu, a Suiton user is able to generate the water needed for their various techniques, naturally drawing on Mizu Soujuu to gather the water necessary before molding a Suiton technique with their various hand seals. (The amount of water generated naturally in performing a technique is the equivalent to the user's rank, so a Genin's understanding of Mizu Soujuu will enable the use of any E-rank or D-rank technique without requiring an additional source of water. However, C-rank techniques or above will require a secondary source of water gained by some other means.)
[Note: Mizu Soujuu does not require chakra to use... it is a natural extension of a Suiton technique which the user draws upon to supply the water needed. However, in places like the desert, or in the middle of a burning building, where there is little to no moisture in the air... a Suiton user cannot use Mizu Soujuu to generate the water needed for their techniques.]
Jouki Bunshin no Jutsu (Vapor Clone) - [Supplementary] Though completely unable to attack or defend itself, the mist clone is quite possibly one of the most invaluable espionage tools at a Suiton user's disposal. After completing the hand seals, droplets of water begin to leak off of the user from their body, quickly dispersing into a cloud of fine mist which is capable of moving around barriers, through tiny cracks, or under doorways so long as it travels no more than 25 ft away from the user. Upon command, it then forms into the clone, enabling it to walk around, open doors, or perform other small actions. The clone disperses 1 minute after being formed. (Maximum: Lasts for only one post past the initial creation of the jutsu, but be fair with the timing based on your actions in the post.) Even the slightest touch from another person will disperse the clone.
Suberiyasui Joubu (Slippery Surface) - [Supplementary] Using the user's own saliva as a water source, the user breathes in deeply, mixing their chakra with their own saliva and water to produce a large mass in the mouth. This mass of saliva/water, about the size of an orange, can then be expelled from the mouth to coat a surface and make it wet and slippery. This makes surfaces such as wood, stone, and hard ground easy to slip on and makes items coated in the mixture difficult to hold onto or control (not to mention making them slimy and gross). The mass of water is not expelled with enough force to cause any damage if it strikes a person or object... but it sure is gross.
Mizu Kagami no Jutsu (Water Mirror Technique) - [Supplementary] Using a couple of hand seals, the user is able to change any surface of water into a reflective pool which acts as a mirror. This technique has a wide variety of uses, enabling the user to safely look around corners or behind them using very little energy. This can even be used on a floating mass of water controlled via the Mizu Soujuu technique, but the water can be no more then 3 feet away from the user.
Mizu no Waruasobi (Trick of Water) - [Offensive] A jutsu requiring no handseals, the Mizu no Waruasobi is a simple, yet effective technique used to blur an opponents' vision, distracting them momentarily. Using nothing more then the basic concepts of water manipulation, a Suiton user can utilize the sweat accumulated on one's hands/fingers to execute the technique. Using a small amount of chakra to separate the water/sweat from the hand, the user can either wave their hand, or use a flick of the fingers to send streaks of water into the eyes of an unsuspecting enemies. The maximum distance of the attack is extremely close range, travelling a maximum of about 1 ft. from the hand, but it creates a great diversion as the sweat mixed with the water stings the eyes rather viciously, blurring the victim's vision. (This technique can also be used to simply flick 'water' rather then sweat, but the sweat of the hand causes the blurring of the victim to be much more effective and painful)
Uo Tsuba (Fish Spit) - [Offensive] Forming hand seals as the user inhales sharply, this techniques allows the user to fire a small mass of water from one's mouth with a force roughly similar to being struck by a small rock held between your thumb, index, and middle finger. One series of hand seals is enough to allow the user to spit out 5 such bursts of water, or one continuous thin jet of water for about 2 seconds.

-- Genin (D-rank) --
Mizu no Ai (Water Love) - [Supplementary] After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create water using their own chakra as the initial source. When used, the user's chakra is released from their torso and arms, which when coming into contact with the air, draws on and enhances the moisture present there. Water then explodes into existence off of the shinobi and into the air where it levitates around them, enabling them to use water jutsu with the newly created source. The more chakra put into this technique, the more water is created. With a D-rank of chakra, enough water is created (in conjunction with Mizu Soujuu) to enable the use of a C-rank technique without a secondary water source. Likewise a C-rank of chakra, enables the use of a B-rank technique without a secondary water source, and a B-rank of chakra enables the use of an A-rank technique without a secondary water source. However, because the water is already created at this point, the next Suiton ninjutsu used with the water created will not have a Stamina cost. (Without Mizu Soujuu, the amount of water created is one rank lower then normal)
(Note: Creating a B-rank of water WILL allow a user to produce multiple D/C-rank jutsu Stamina-free. If you create a B-rank amount of water, it will alleviate the stamina cost of the next B-rank ninjutsu technique, or the next C-rank and D-rank technique used.)
Mizu Bunshin (Water Clone) - [Supplementary] A more corporeal form of the Jouki Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin technique creates a clone of the user with only 10% of their strength and has speed/evasion equal to the original user. This clone unlike the Kiri Bunshin, can attack an opponent and threaten to do actual damage akin to the weapons and abilities of the user. It does not posses chakra of it's own, so it cannot use any ninjutsu the user knows, nor can it think for itself beyond carrying out the initial orders of it's creator. What sets this clone apart from all others is that when it is struck, the clone dissipates only to re-form into two clones. These clones still have 10% the physical strength of the user, but suffer a -1 rank in speed/evasion as well. One well placed hit will destroy the clone copies for good.
Mizutamari no Jutsu (Water Puddle Technique) - [Supplementary] A technique allowing the user to alter their body shape, either melting into a pre-existing puddle of water, or making a puddle of water on their own. This form hides the user's chakra signature from sensors, but shinobi with specialized Doujutsu techniques that allow them to see chakra signatures can see a faint aura within the puddle. The water looks and feels like real water in every way, reflecting images, splashing, etc. If any part of the water is picked up off the ground however, either in an attempt to drink, or bottle it, the technique ends and the user re-forms. Dropping kunai/shuriken into the puddle, stepping on it, or splashing does not harm the user... but ninjutsu used against the water do. When assaulted, the user is forced to re-form and suffers damage as if they were hit by the ninjutsu normally. This technique is typically used to set up ambushes, or can be used as escape tactic in the right situation.
Mizu Peretto (Water Pellet) - [Offensive] An enhanced version of the Uo Tsuba, the Mizu Peretto technique creates a mass of water about the size of a fist from the user's mouth which travels quickly through the air and impacts the enemy at high speeds, causing heavy bruising to the area it strikes. Unlike Uo Tsuba however, only one pellet is created and the jutsu cannot create a stream of water either.
Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu (Water Shuriken Technique) - [Offensive] Utilizing the proper hand seals, a user is capable of drawing water from nothing but the air to form a deadly barrage of water shuriken. These constructs are incredibly light, but razor sharp, spinning viciously through the air towards their targets. On contact, the shuriken will slice through clothes or into skin, stick into wood, or bounce off of steel only to melt into harmless droplets a split second afterward. This minimizes the amount of damage such a shuriken can do to the body, since it can't travel through the body or embed itself deep into the skin, but it can create rather severe lacerations which require a bandage to halt the bleeding. The jutsu creates about 5 shuriken which travel as a group in a straight line as if 5 shuriken were thrown with a single hand.
Isonagi no Jutsu (Beach Crab technique) - [Offensive] Only usable when your opponent is standing on top of or in water or standing on top of a wet and muddy surface, this technique causes a pair of pincers, similar to those of a crab's, to rise up out of the water/muddy surface and capture a target's lower leg, up to their knees. This creates a large amount of pressure on the legs, causing a fair amount of pain and then the pincers attempt to drag the target down under the surface they came out of. To break free from the grip of the pincers, the victim must either be one rank stronger then the user, in which case they can struggle to break free immediately... or if they cannot, must destroy the pincers by slashing through each one individually (requiring two strikes to destroy one pincer), or using some other jutsu to destroy them. If caught in the pincers for more then 3 posts, the user will be submerged under the surface and will begin to suffocate.
Mizu Tate (Water Shield) - [Defensive/Supplementary] After performing the necessary hand seals, a convex shield of water forms in front of the user which is about 3 feet in diameter and hovers in front of the user. The shield is completely translucent, so both the attacker and defender can see through it, but the water which makes up the shield is always shifting and moving, so the images may be somewhat distorted, though still, mostly clear. The shield itself is strong enough to resist any projectile (kunai, shuriken, arrows, etc), but it does so by trapping the objects in the shield itself rather then deflecting them like a metal shield would. Large weapons, like swords and spears can slice through the shield and disperse it in one strike, but piercing attacks will not destroy the shield... it will only cause the weapon to get caught in the shield halfway through.
If a Taijutsu strike is made against the shield, the user may choose to use an additional D-rank of chakra to make the shield capture the oncoming attacker by sprouting tentacles on impact which wrap tightly around the attackers arms and torso. These tentacles require a Chuunin rank of Strength to escape from. When wrapped up, the user could potentially suffer wounds if sharp objects such as Hari, Kunai, or Shuriken were previously captured in the shield. The shield disappears 5 posts after it was created, or until dismissed/destroyed, at which point it will drop all objects lodged inside it.
The shield is highly resistant to ninjutsu, stopping all D-rank techniques and up to C-rank Katon techniques, but is destroyed after absorbing two techniques of any element, and is completely demolished by any Doton technique.

-- Chuunin (C-rank) --
Mizutamari Yusuo (Water Puddle Transportation) - [Supplementary] [Requires knowledge of 'Mizutamari no jutsu' to learn] - Used in conjunction with the Mizutamari no Jutsu, after the user sinks into a puddle through the effects of the Mizutamari technique, they can then travel to another nearby puddle using the Mizutamari Yusuo technique without additional hand seals. Through the Mizutamari Yusuo technique, the user can instantaneously transport themselves to any body of water within a 50 ft radius of the current puddle they occupy as long as that water source is connected to the ground. If the technique is performed while standing on top of a lake, river, or other large water source, the user is able to materialize themselves anywhere within the area of the water source, up to a distance of 1/2 a mile. Additionally, when the user chooses to re-materializes out of the puddle, they do so almost instantaneously, their body springing up out of the puddle/water source with spirals of water surrounding them.
[This technique does not cost the standard amount of chakra, since it is used in conjunction with another jutsu. Once the user has performed the 'Mizutamari no jutsu', each jump costs only 2 chakra and 1 stamina.]
Mizukaisou Bunshin (Water Reflection Clone) - [Supplementary] An upgrade to the average Mizu Bunshin, the Mizukaisou Bunshin utilizes the user's own reflection in water to create an able bodied clone. This clone possesses the knowledge and intelligence of the user, but attacks with a -1 rank in both speed and strength. Additionally, the clone has it's own reserve of chakra and can perform one Suiton ninjutsu that the user knows up to C-rank. However, once the hand seals are finished, the clone's own body is used as the source of water, leaving nothing behind. If however, the clone is destroyed (clone disperses after one solid blow), it does not split like the Mizu Bunshin, but instead leaves behind a floating mass of water that a Suiton user can utilize as the source of another C-rank Suiton jutsu. The mass of water remains for 3 posts.
Suikusari no Jutsu (Water Chains Technique) - [Supplementary] Depending on the number of water sources in the area, a series of water chains can be created which will shoot out of their respective sources and attempt to wrap around and immobilize a single foe. After completing the necessary hand seals, any water sources within a 20 ft radius of the user will sprout chains of water which are just as strong as real metal chains, which will seek to wrap around the arms/limbs/torso of the intended target at the command of the user. In order to evade the chains, the user must have a Jounin-level evasion rating... and to break free of the chains, they must have Sp. Jounin-level Strength, but can only break free of 4 chains per post, and doing so requires 2 stamina. The jutsu's weakness is ninjutsu, as any form of C-rank ninjutsu or higher which strike the chains will disrupt their cohesion and destroy them (even Katon ninjutsu).
Depending on the size of the water source, a different number of chains will be created. For a D-rank sized water source, one chain is created, For a C-rank water source, 2 chains are generated... anything larger creates 3 chains. if the user is on a large body of water, such as a river, lake, or ocean... 7 chains will sprout out of the water around the target and attempt to entangle them. [This needs to be a B-Rank technique. Also, is this technique too good? Instead of being based on strength/level should it be based on attributes?]
The Original jutsu {{Suikusari no Jutsu (Water Chains Technique): By manipulating the surrounding moisture/water in the environment, the user is able to create multiple chains of water to bind an enemy's ankles and wrists thus limiting their movements. If either strength or strongth willed is the primary attribute of the captured opponent then the captured target will still be able to perform normally despite the setback.}}
Suimenka no Kisoku (Breathing Underwater Technique) - [Supplementary] Only usable while the user is under water, after performing the necessary hand seals, the user brings their fingers up to their mouth and blow out, creating a small bubble. This bubble then then be stuck over the user's mouth and nose, enabling them to breath regularly as if they were above ground. The mask works as a sort of chakra filter, bringing in fresh oxygen for the user to breath while pushing out the CO2 exhaled. Naturally, the mask will only last for so long before it fails and pops, but the good news is that the user can simply remain underwater and use the technique again so long as they have the necessary chakra/stamina. However, the user also needs to be aware of the depth at which they are swimming as the pressure of the water above them could cause the bubble to pop. As the user increases in ability and in their control of ninjutsu, the technique improves, allowing the bubble mask to last longer and deal with higher pressure, enabling the user to swim deeper. These values increase with the rank of the user:
At Genin: Mask lasts for 3 posts, and has a maximum depth of 15 ft. (~5 m) At Chuunin: Mask lasts for 4 posts, and has a maximum depth of 30 ft. (~10 m) At Sp. Jounin: Mask lasts for 5 posts, and has a maximum depth of 40 ft. (~13 m) At Jounin: Mask lasts for 6 posts, and has a maximum depth of 60 ft. (~20 m) At Sannin/Kage: Mask lasts for 7 posts, and has a maximum depth of 100 ft. (~33 m)
Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Technique)- [Supplementary] A signature technique of the Kirigakure, this jutsu allows the user to call on the surrounding moisture all around them, condensing and gathering it into a heavy mist which covers the field of battle in a 50 ft (~15 m) radius all around the user. The mist is cool to the touch and seems to continuously move very slowly. The mist not only distorts a user's vision beyond 5 ft, but it also distorts sound and a sensor's ability to detect chakra. Even a technique like the Byakugan cannot easily see through the mist as the entire field of obscuring mist is laced with small particles of chakra which distorts what their eyes can see... but it does enhance the zone of vision to a 15ft radius all around them. The mist lasts for 3 posts and cannot be extended... to continue the effect, the jutsu must be used again.
Kirigakure: Shunshin no Jutsu (Hidden Mist: Instantaneous Body Skill) - [Supplementary] An ability which allows the user to transport from one area to another easily, enabling the shinobi to travel vast stretches of land almost instantaneously. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user's form begins to slowly dissolve away, the body itself transforming into water which then dissipates into the air as a fine mist. Upon arrival of their desired location, the process works in reverse, the mist assembling to reveal the form of the user once again. The process of dissolving away and re-assembling both take about 3 seconds to complete. In order to travel to a specified location, the user has to have been there before and sense the location with their chakra, which makes the distance limited to about 5 miles. The user cannot directly shunshin into or out of a village, but can shunshin within a village if desired. This jutsu can only be used to escape combat if neither shinobi has attacked or defended for a post. [During travel, use of this technique decreases the total travel distance of the journey by 1 post]
Fuuma Mizu Shuriken (Evil Windmill Water Shuriken) - [Offensive] Similar to the 'Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu', the user manipulates the surrounding moisture/water in order to conjure up a shuriken but this time, instead of creating multiple smaller shuriken, the user focuses that chakra into creating one large Fuuma shuriken. More solid then the regular water shurikens, the Fuuma Mizu shuriken deals more damage upon contact and is able to parry other projectiles that collide with it. When the Fuuma Mizu shuriken strikes it's target it creates large lacerations in the skin, and explodes in a burst of water on contact, the force of the impact leaving deep bruises in the area as well. When performed over a large body of water, the deadliness of this technique increases, enabling the user to create multiple Fuuma Mizu Shuriken (no more then 3) and then launch them directly from the water source toward their opponent. The approach and angle of the shuriken's path can be manipulated individually, but they cannot be controlled like homing missiles.
Teppoudama (Gun Shot) - [Offensive] Breathing in deeply to create room in their mouth and chest, the user performs a set of hand seals kneading chakra together inside as they convert it into chakra and then spits it out in the form of a condensed ball of liquid about the size of a cannonball. This high-speed water ball attack has a lot of force behind it and can cause intense amounts of damage, hitting with enough force to heavily bruise the area struck and even break bones, the force of the impact causing the user to fly backwards at least 10 ft. The number of condensed balls generated increases with rank... 1 for Genin, 2 for Chuunin and Sp. Jounin, 3 for Jounin+. [This technique does not require a source of water... it is generated internally as part of the technique]
Mizu no Yoroi (Water Armor) - [Defensive] Surrounding the user in a thin layer of water, the Mizu no Yoroi is able to provide complete protection from Katon techniques up to one rank above the user and can also soften the blow of an incoming Taijutsu strikes (reduces the strength of an incoming attack by one rank). Additionally, while the Water Armor is active, the user is isolated with their own independent supply of oxygen, so this technique allows the user to protect themselves from poisonous gases. While activated, the user cannot utilize hand seals to form additionally jutsu, but can still perform Taijutsu/Kenjutsu strikes normally without suffering a drop in speed/power. However, as the technique remains active, beyond the original cost to create the armor, for each additional post it is maintained, the user is drained of 2 chakra and 1 stamina point. If the user dives into water, the armor dissipates and the effects of the armor are lost.
[Katon ninjutsu up to B-rank are nullified, but higher ranked Katon ninjutsu will dissolve the armor and burn the user. Other ninjutsu, such as Doton, Raiton, Fuuton, Suiton are not affected, which means if they hit, they produce the same effects they always would when striking an opponent, but they do not necessary destroy the armor.]
Ideas for jutsu
- Another possible C-rank is just a simple wave of water that washes down anything in its path.
- You could also have a water-searching technique; be able to feel through the water and see where objects are underwater (probably another C-rank).
- Creating a water twister to attack with would probably be another good C-rank technique.

-- Special Jounin (B-rank) --
Kiri Shikaku no Jutsu (Mist Vision Technique): A technique granting the user the ability to see through heavy mist, steam, or any other condition dealing with water in the air, this ability is best used in conjunction with the 'Kirigakure no Jutsu'. Though it allows the user to see through most conditions pertaining to moisture in the air, the Kiri Shikaku no Jutsu is unable to provide vision through smoke and is considered a passive ability that activates when the user's vision would otherwise be obstructed by moisture in the air condition. Does not require hand seals.
Suijouki no Jutsu (Steam Technique): By taking in a deep breath and exhaling, the user blows out a mass of burning steam capable of causing severe burn. Attack may be lethal if opponent is caught too close during the initial release of the steam. The steam covers an area of 3-5meters.
Suiton: Suise no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Torrent Technique): Comparable to the Doton: Doryuu Taiga, this technique involves altering the ground in order to shift away opponents. By creating a small torrent of water, the user uses chakra to move the water at high speed capable of carrying away opponents with the tide.
Suirou no Jutsu (Water Prison Technique): A technique requiring an arm and the user being situated in one spot, the Suirou no Jutsu traps a victim inside a prison of water. In order for the prison to remain in tack, users must keep one arm within the water sphere at all times. Considered one of the most formidable trapping techniques, the water prison cannot be escaped or broken from the inside and will remain in tack as long as the user is willing to keep standing their with their arm harnessing the jutsu.

-- Jounin (A-rank) --
Suiton: Suihou no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Cannon Technique): Strong enough to break through wood and hot enough to scald flesh, the user spits out a sizzling stream of boiling water from their mouth over a maximum distance of 7 meters.
Suiton: Mizu Ryuu no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Dragon Technique): Best used when surrounded by large bodies of water, the user performs a long series of hand seals to manipulate the water around their opponent into the form of a huge dragon. The dragon can be as long as 15ft and wrapping itself around the target, the dragon then charges down at the opponent with the force of raging river rapids. This technique threatens to devastate the opponent and creates a massive shock wave which produces a towering tsunami wave which floods the area 100 feet beyond the initial impact.
Doiru Suiyari no Jutsu (Drilling Water Spears ): A technique that is considered both offensive and defensive; the Doiru Suiyari no Jutsu forms large drill shaped spears from within the water that pierces through the surface, surrounding their target. Offensively, this technique surrounds the opponent and closes in towards a peak, damaging the opponent in the process. Defensively, the spears surrounds the user in a barricade and deflects/nullifies techniques of a lower ranking than the user. (Lasts one use)
Mizuhada Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Body Clone Technique): A great advancement from the Water Reflection clone, the Mizuhada Bunshin no Jutsu creates full-powered water clones without the need of water. Each clone summoned will have the mental and physical capability of the user. It has enough chakra of it's own to reproduce 1 jutsu up to A-rank that the user knows as well as any Taijutsu/Kenjutsu. Clone disperses after a solid hit.
Suiton: Suikoudan no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Blast Technique): A powerful technique requiring the target to be on/near a large body of water, the user manipulates the water to form a large shark which may be used to attack in one of two ways. The first method is to launch the shark towards the opponent in an attempt to knock them aside with the force of a charging ram while having the shark bare its teeth for some biting damage as well. The second method involves stealth as the shark is manipulated to appear beneath the opponent in an attempt to swallow the target. If swallowed, the victim is trapped within a sphere of water while the shark dissolves. Sphere vanishes after one hit from any kind of external force.
Gekiryuu Chikara (Raging River Force): Similar to the Suiton: Suise no Jutsu, the user conjures up a body of water to deal damage to surrounding opponents. This technique itself is strong enough to tear down most stone walls and defenses (C-rank defense techniques and below) and can also produces enough water to flood a small area up to 200 sq. feet.
Suiton: Suijinheki (Water Release: Water Barrier): Known at the ultimate defense for all Mist Shinobi, a great amount of water is needed along with the appropriate mastery level of the Mizu Soujuu. By infusing one's charkra with the surrounding bodies of water, the use manipulates the water into a swirling barrier capable of surrounding the user and nearby allies up to a 4ft radius. Ninjutsu of B-rank and lower will have no effect on the barrier and taijutsu techniques will be self-damaging as the opponent attacking the barrier will be caught up in the current and be whirled around while slamming into the ground. This applies to weapon attacks as well. Weapons will be caught in the current an spun around before being released back out in a random direction. The barrier will desolves after 3 successful A-rank ninjutsu techniques (S-rank if of Katon nature) or after 5 posts (user's count).

Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu (Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique): A technique of devatating force, the Suiton: Daibakufu no jutsu is capable of catching people/object and slamming them into other objects as well as forcing large trees and masses of earth from solid ground. In order for this technique to work the user has to be near or in a large body of water and by manipulating the surrounding water, creates a huge cyclone on its side.
Suiton: Suihouha (Water Release: Rising Blast): One of the more exhausting suiton techniques, the user using a large amount of chakra to create water from thin air. The water created can amount to as much as a mini tidal wave and will not dissipate for the duration of the battle thus creating a field advantage for the user. If used in an exceptinally arid location like the desert, this technique will last 10 posts before all the water drains into the ground. Depth of water after it settles is 8 to 10 ft.
Suiton: Suiryuudan no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Dragon Blast Technique): A technique used to target a single opponent, the user creates a huge current of water and molds it into the shape of a dragon. The dragon is then sent towards the opponent and if stuck, the force behind the attack will feel as if one was hit by a ton of bricks.
Tsunami no Jutsu (Tsunami Technique): A technique capable of flooding a large village, the Tsunami no Jutsu can be considered an 'all or nothing' technique used in the most critical of all circumstances. A technique costing enormous amounts of chakra and stamina, the user infuses their charka into a large body of water and controls it to rise up like a tsunami. Lots of concentration is required for this technique to work and if concentration is broken the water will break from its shape and smash down on the user.
Suiton: Shindo Futan (Water Release: Depth Charge): A lethal technique if used correctly, the Shindo Futan requires the complete submersion of the opponent in order to work. By channeling one's chakra to their hands, they create a large burst of energy capable of compressing the water beneath them momentarily. This compression will disperse throughout the body and will crush anything close enough to the source (1 metre). The force is strong enough to crush solid rock and if a person was to get caught in it, they will be squished flat by the compression. Bones will crack and the blood/water will most likely be squeezed out of them.
