Tennis was one of his favorite sports, though he never gave much time to it. Either he was just lazy or had other things to do...like patrol around Sanctum. This wasn't his favorite job, nor a hobby but he did feel obligated. Upon question he would give no answer. "Yo! Dude in the sky - watch out!" Dark lowered his gaze to his right, the speed and power of a flying tennis ball worrying him little. Too bad he didn't have a racket.. He rose a hand and took hold of the speeding ball, his aura forming a thin film to keep him protected. It was for the best. With the spin and force behind the ball it continued to grind against the surface of his hand, sparks of blue flying over his hand until it finally stopped. "..Oww.." dark muttered, staring at a group of people who were looking up at him, waiting for their ball. Sanctum's tennis balls weren't the regular kind. Because this place was full of supernaturals they needed a better kind of ball. Like the one in his hand. It had the same shape, but it was lacked the common yellow color with curving white on it; instead it was a dark shade of rubber gray with five tumor-like bulbs sticking out. Because of Sanctum's characters people tended to use their abilities in sports. This ball was designed for just that. The balls would absorb any and all energy that would come in contact with them, and reflect the power behind it. This helped the balls from popping or burning apart. He let his aura gather in his hand, and it unwillingly was absorbed into the ball, the empty rubber domes glowing blue to correspond to his aura. With a flick of his wrist Dark launched it back towards the players, the ball speeding down like a meteor. Next stop would be the football fields.

With a steadily quieting hum the Skyway came to a stop just outside the bordering fence of the tennis courts. When finally stationed the Skyway beeped and Dark stepped out first. "The Skyways are actually fun, always catching glimpse of Sanctum on the ride. It kind of reminds me of that old cartoon The Jetsons. Ever heard of them?" Dark asked as he stepped into the courts. The fences weren't steel, but an rough leather to keep the balls from burning or breaking out. On occasions however the power swings from other individuals often led for modifications which were not made yet. Powers were always different. Near the corner were two rackets he always left. One was pitch black with his emblem shaded upon the face; the other was blue with no sort of decoration on it. That one he threw over to Dawn. He had five balls saved within a container and hopefully they lasted. He passed two to Dawn. I doubt he knows the rules of an actual tennis game but there's no need to play by that. It's not like I know all of them either."It's your service."

the jetsons? haha "That show was a bunch of lies, the future is nothing like that" I said. I caught the racket with one hand, one ball with the other and the second with my mouth. I walked to one side of the court and spit the ball behind me as I prepared to serve, "I'm not the most graceful kind but..." I threw the ball up and as it came down I slammed the it right in the center of the racket launching it to the corner of Dark's left side.

"I'm well aware.." Dark muttered, crouching slightly as he watched the broadwielder start his serve. His eyes dilated as his gaze sharpened on the ball. Dark.. The mayor's voice suddenly rang out as the ball whizzed past to his left side with pathetic speed. What is it? Dark called back as he called a, "15-Love" score. "Don't worry about applying your Solstice into your racket. Their much more durable than the regulars." Dark announced, never moving from his spot. We have a newcomer..Oh? Where are they at?Give me a moment... "Come on, aren't you the Berseker of the Fallen Blades. COME ON!"

"Whats that?" I said with a twitch. "I know I suck at this game but you dont have to give me freebies!" I called out to him. "This time..." I popped the ball on the floor into the air with my feet like a soccer trick and as it came down I swung the racket with both hands. The ball flew straight at Dark's face when I meant to aim right above his head, "-oh..."

"It wasn't a freebie...not really." Dark admitted with a mutter. He just wanted to test the power of the serve. Seeing Dawn flick the ball up with the tip of his foot he grinned and waited for the serve. He frowned then; he didn't expect it to come towards his face. He slid his foot back and tilted his body while the hand that held his racket moved to the far back. "I told you not to hold back.." He muttered. The environment around him darkened and his aura tendriled around him. His racket absorbed the aura and when he swung the ball did the same, taking the power from the racket in an instant; a power-swing. The ball spun wildly, his aura spinning around it like a disc as it sped back at Dawn in breakneck speed.

"Dont hold back? hmm..." for some reason the words didnt reach me. In a split second I saw his return and almost lost sight of the ball hurling towards me. "Shi-!" Instinctively I spun the racket upside down and let my solstice flow into the racket. I swung downwards hard enough to make my whole body spin. The ball was sturdier that I thought, any normal ball would have been obliterated. The ball howled back towards Dark but started to descend as it crossed over the net.

He had wasted no time after his swing, sprinting towards the net as quickly as he could. Dawn returned it, allowing him little time to react the way he wanted to. He slid the back of his boots against the ground, allowing the steel guards to cause sparks as he skid to a stop. The ball was fast, but nothing he wasn't used to. He tilted his racket his with a downward slice shifted the balls power. Rather than returning it he caused it to arc over the net in a spinning lob. No doubt if the ball met the ground it wouldn't just not bounce, but come back to the bottom of the net.

"Oh no you dont!" I shouted, I dashed towards the balls landing point and hopped up into the air to meet the ball. I raised my solstice infused racket and with both hands swung down at the ball with enough force to make me spin downward towards the ground. I broke my fall with a quick hop back into my original spot and watched the ball fly over Dark's head. If he doesnt counter it its my point I think.. I thought to myself as I prepared for the next counter

Inukai trotted around in a slightly dizzy manner, he was used to flying, but the Skyway was very different from regular flight and disorientated him a bit. He heard two people and saw them playing a game with webbed sticks and bouncy gray apples... humans were always strange, but if that made them happy he would say anything about it. The small winged fox just sat on the outside of the fence and watched the two play their game, wondering which one would have better dreams..still any was better then none.. so he just tilted his head as they hit the gray apples.

Much to his surprise he watched Dawn hit the ball not once, but twice. It was basically a smash on his friends end and being so close it made him somewhat afraid of getting hit. The ball crackled with Dawn's energy, running straight past him in an unbelievable speed. The ball crashed, and bounced towards the leather of the courts. He wouldn't have been able to counter that with one hand at close quarters.. "30-Love." Dark called, walking over to both of Dawn's balls and flicking them over the net to give them back to the Clown. Well, rules aren't always the best way to play.. Dark thought as he took to a ready back on his side. I'm getting a rather strange feeling from your current location, Ryosuke.Odd? Dark repeated, carefully glancing around them briefly as he waited for Dawn to serve. It struck him then that he didn't comment on Dawn's attack. Oh well.. I can't explain it. Becareful, maybe a demon found its way out of Northeast. it has happened before.I got'cha.. "Lets go, CLOWN!" Dark called, hopping, taking one final look around. He didn't see anyone..

"Sweet.." I said as I caught the balls and let one fall behind me. *buh bump* "Hm?" something felt funny about this place all of a sudden, a slight chill ran up my spine. My eyes darted from left to right for a second. "Whatever... here I go!"

"....." There was a quick gust of wind that blew the tail of his outfit off to the side as he waited for his friend to serve. Seeing as how he hadn't yet he once again looked around, and stopped when he saw an animal in gray and black sitting outside. ..Huh.. He thought, turning to look back at his friend. "Any day.."

"What was that?" I said to myself recalling the feeling of something's presence. I looked at Dark and served with a normal smash. Whatever lets see how good I can do against him I started trotting as if jogging while staying still in order to allow me to counter easier in any condition

Inukai tilted his head again when one of the people looked at him, the other seemed to notice something different, but didn't see him yet.. Demons like him that could enter an unconscious person's mind did give off an odd 'vibe' to some people, but his wasn't threatening. It was rare for a dream-eating demon to intentionally kill someone by feeding off them after all. Still, he doubted that the guy would have ignore him if he was in adult demon form.. docile as he was, it would make most people a bit uneasy.
