It should also be noted, about voice acting, that this is the First KH game which we've had high exposure to that included a large cast of new characters before the English voices came out. Most of us (especially Kichi and the others who have played the game) will find these voices unbearable, which would have been the case if KH1 had so many Japanese voice clips released before the English voices were. We got used to the English voices first, which carried over into KH2.
Now, however, we have a whole new set of characters, and we've been listening to their voices in Japanese this whole time. If the English voices didn't sound exactly like the Japanese voices, we were going to be disappointed, and that's all there is to it.
What I don't understand is why everyone's making a big deal over the new characters' voices and not old. Mickey had to have a new voice actor come in, due to the last one having a heart attack. Why no word on that? That all said, I personally prefer Nimoy's work for Xehanort, and Mark Hamill's Terra is not bad. It's a normal voice that doesn't try to be outstanding. Terra's is normal, not forced. The fact that he achieved a normal voice in itself is a feat, as opposed to Osment's performance trying as hard as possible to sound amazing, or Holland's sounding too monotonous. Nimoy's performance sounds like he didn't hear the japanese voice for Xehanort at all and came up with
a voice he thought fitting for an old, seemingly frail bald guy with a goatee, rather than a voice that one that sounds like it should be coming from an aging Jafar.
All that said, getting a 3DS, though I predict it will be $200-$250 and NO ONE will make any remarks about the price despite being equal to or more expensive than the Wii (unlike previous arguments about the PSPgo, being $50 less than the PS3).
Kingdom Hearts 3D, from what I've seen and heard, looks to be very confusing. If it was using the newer models for Sora and Riku, I could say "Oh, it's between KH: coded and KH3". But they're kids again. I'm confused.
As for RE:coded, WOO. Looks to be a combination of Days' and BBS's battle systems from what I gather from
this image.
