”Thanks, Jimmy” Damian took the bottle of Captain Morgan’s 100 proof spiced rum and slapped a twenty in Jimmy’s hand. The Captain was concealed in a paper bag, but Damian wasn’t thinking of concealment. His teammate, Alba, and his sorta-girlfriend-but-not-really Devi were both in the hospital, trapped in some sort of coma. He had been at their bedsides for days since Meadowview was shut down. Now it was ten at night and he couldn’t stand to be at the hospital anymore, not to mention visiting hours were over. Depressed he turned to alcohol to forget, he wasn’t really a big drinker but if now wasn’t the time to drink when was? He’d usually talk to his dad about his problems, but he was flying some rich guy and his girlfriend around Europe.
So instead the eighteen your old decided to drink. But not as Damian, even though the quarantine had been lifted there were still more cops on the street and he didn’t want to take the chance of getting caught. Tucking the bottle under his arm the redhead walked into a nearby alley, checking for homeless people before he took a pen out of his pocket and held it up in the air, shifting a tighter grip on his precious alcohol. ”Orion Power, Make-Up!” Light wrapped around him, swirling and bright. The boy closed his eyes, not wanting to stare at the flashing lights this time. Even with his eyes closed he could see the flashes of light against his eyelids.
It didn’t take long for the light to fade and standing in Damian’s spot was Sailor Orion. Taking the bottle of rum out of its bag he let the paper bag fall to the ground to join all the other trash littering the alley. Tensing his muscles he jumped straight up and onto the roof of the closest building. Opening the bottle he took a long swig of rum coughing a little after he swallowed. The 100 proof rum was stronger than what he was used to, but he wanted to get smashed and asked Jimmy to just pick up the strongest stuff he could get for twenty bucks. Orion was not disappointed. Twisting the cap back on the bottle he began to jump from roof to roof, heading towards the center of the city and the tallest building he knew of. It might even be the tallest building in the city, he wasn’t sure.
It took him forty-five minutes to get to Destiny City Municipal Bank, he could’ve made it in less but the senshi kept pausing to drink, and had to take a couple breaks as the alcohol began to hit him. Standing on top of the building Orion’s eyes widened, he was up high! He’d never been up this high before. Taking a long drink from the Captain he smacked his lips and then swaggered to the edge of the building looking down. ”Holy crap, I wonder if I could survive that fall.” Laughing he sat himself down on the edge of the roof, legs hanging down, his heels bouncing across the building. He rocked back and forth slightly, precariously close to tumbling off the edge and falling 58 stories.
Orion held up the bottle of rum squinting at what he saw. Half the bottle was gone. He frowned feeling a bit dizzy. Did he really drink half already? It didn’t seem like half. But maybe it was. He was very definitely feeling the alcohol but he didn’t think he was drunk enough. And he was alone! That wasn’t cool. He stared at his empty hand, twisting his face in concentration. It took a minute longer than usual but the phone dropped in his hand. Reluctantly he sat the bottle on the ledge next to him so he could concentrate on finding Merope’s number. Highlighting it he pressed send and then put the phone to his ear. When the other senshi answered he grinned. ”Hey buddy! Come drink with me!” There was a sloppy grin on his face and his words were slurred, poor, poor Merope.

Carter could feel it ringing. In response the boy rose up far enough to grab the pillow out from under his head, transferring it up and on top in order to try and muffle out the noise. When that failed to do anything, his arm snaked out from beneath the warm blanket to slap the nearby nightstand, as if to beat his alarm clock into submission. That didn't work either.
It then occurred to Carter that it wasn't his alarm clock, and he knew for a fact that it wasn't his phone -- that was currently being fixed by the company after it accidentally went through the wash. The boy sat up and yawned, holding out his hand.
In less than a heartbeat a blue cellphone appeared in his outstretched hand. The annoyed guardian cat on front was gone, replaced by a picture of... Orion? Carter rubbed his eyes and stared at the clock near his bedside, then answered it. "Mrrrgh?"
”Hey buddy! Come drink with me!”
"Whaa? Do you real..." Carter stopped to yawn, "Maaan! You just woke me up from a na...p. Huh. Yeah, yeah, I'll be there. Soon. Ish."
It took Carter, now Sailor Merope, less than an hour to meet up with Orion. "Hey man!" He greeted, dropping a backpack next to his teammate. "I brought some munchies and more drinks, except all that jumping around kinda shook'em up. If you wanna open one, I suggest you, y'know, point it away from yourself then open it. And don't point it at me either, man."
He sat down and opened the backpack, pulling out a bag of twizzlers before ripping into it. "You want one? Whatcha doin up here anyway?"

If Orion would have been sober he would have realized that calling Carter while drunk and on top of a building, late at night was a bad idea. Unfortunately for both of them Orion was no where near sober. At least he was a patient drunk, fine with sipping on the bottle and rocking back and forth while he waited for Merope to show up.
By the time the other boy go there the Captain was down to a quarter of the bottle, and there wouldn't even be that left if Orion hadn't been determined to save some. "Hey buddy!" He grinned and slung an arm over his shoulders, pulling him into a headlock in greeting. Letting go his eyes lit up at munchies. He hadn't thought to bring food, just booze. He took the comment about the drinks and tried to make a mental note that they would explode, which was never pleasant.
Glancing over at the Twizzlers he nodded. "Sure!" He took two out of the pack, shoving one in his mouth. "And, I am up here, because out there," He gestured to the city with the bottle of rum. "sucks balls. My ex, my kinda-girl, and my close friend are all in comas. What the ******** man? What if they don't wake up." Shaking his head he realized he was still holding onto the bottle. "Oh! Dude, I saved you some rum." With that he thrust the bottle at Merope.

“Gwah!” Merope squeaked as Orion pulled him in close, the bag of precious strawberry flavored candy straws nearly spilling out of his grasp. The boy flailed briefly until the older boy released him. Man! Why was everyone on his team taller than him? Even Alcyone could catch him in a headlock, and probably hold him there too.
“I -” he began, taking a moment to shove a twizzler into his mouth. What could he say? He was lucky – his family managed to get off scott-free, even if one of his younger siblings was hurt in a coma-induced accident. Thankfully she just had a concussion, and was unconscious briefly before escaping from the hospital with a broken arm. He was, all in all, very lucky.
Orion, though... He took the bottle when Orion thrust it at him, staring. “R-rum? Dude, I'm underage! All though...” Merope looked around. Any adult around? No? Awesome. The boy raised the bottle to his lips, drank, then all but threw it back at Orion. “Pffhaw! How can you drink that stuff?!”
Sailor Merope stuck his tongue out and used a twizzler to try and floss the taste of rum away. "Awuugh. Sho oo ih in eh hos--" he stopped flossing, and repeated himself, "So who's in the hospital? Isn't it kind of a good thing that your ex is in there since she's your ex and all..? Or he -- no offense man but I don't know which way you swing and it's totally cool if you swing that way, just curious."
