READ THE RULES FOR ABILITIES IN THE LAST POST!


Child Abilities:

User ImageNatural Concealment

Your color and appearance change to match whatever is behind you. This Only works with a natural background, i.e. wood, grass, stone. Animals and man-made materials are not considered a natural background and cannot be used.

User ImageSpeak With the Wild

You are able to talk with all the wild animals and plants, any domestic animals and plants are excluded from this ability. Only satyrs with this ability would understand a conversation with a wild being, any without this ability will not hear the answers of the animal or plant.

User ImageNight Vision

This ability is simply the ability to see in the dark. The dark would appear to be a sunlit day to the satyr that uses this skill.

User ImageAgile Movement

You can increase your movements by 50%. This includes all body parts and any action you can normally do. This has no effect on your other abilities or any weapons you might use.

User ImageSpirit Sense

All senses are sharpened and work twice as well as normal.

Adult Abilities:

Shadow Twin

This ability allows you to turn your shadow into an exact replica of yourself, not only in appearance but in character as well. The twin is still in essence a shadow, so it cannot touch or be touched by anything, in fact anything it tries to touch or that tries to touch it while go right through it.

Charm Creature

You are able to charm any creature, plants included, into doing something they normally wouldn't. These actions cannot be completely against their nature or alignment and you cannot charm them into killing themselves or another. Satyrs are immune to this skill.

Restore Spirit

This skill uses your spirit energy to heal others, overuse can result in fainting or even regressing one stage. This only applies for any stages below elder and lasts no longer than 24 hours.

Curse of Darkness

This skill partialy blinds a creature of your choice. It causes their vision to narrow until all they can see is what is right in front of them. The effects last no longer than 2 minutes.

Spirit Blessing

This blesses the target to feel stronger and more vital but they are not in fact any stronger or vital than they were before. This can not be used on yourself. The effects last no longer than 5 minutes.

Advanced Abilities:

Adult Abilities #2:

Call of the wild:

Calls a nearby wild animal to your side. Can be combined with charm creature and speak with the wild so you can control the called animal for 24 hours.

Vine Growth

This allows you to call any vegetation around you to life, including houses made of wood. Once living you can combine the charm creature ability and have the plant do what you wish. Vegetation will only stay alive for 24 hours before it reverts back to it's original form.

Shadow Hide

You are able to hide in any shadow completely and can not be sensed with skills like spirit sense or night vision.

Shadow Jump

Allows you to jump from one shadow to another that is in your line of vision without being seen. This doesn't allow you complete coverage in the shadow, you are only completely covered when you are "jumping" between shadows. Cannot be used with shadow hide.

Pain Link

This is only usuable when hurt or wounded. This skill allows you to force your pain onto whoever caused it. It won't make you feel better, but the person who caused your pain will feel the same as you. This will not actually wound your enemy, it only makes them feel your pain.

Regeneration

This increases the chosen being's natural regeneration for no longer than an hour and can only be used once per hour. The ability will not work on yourself.

Lullaby

This puts the target instantly to sleep. Someone who is put to sleep by lullaby will sleep as long as they normally would at night, i.e 6-8 hours for the average satyr. However they are very easily woken by touching or any sound louder than a whisper. When combined with skills like restore spirit or regenaration, those skill effect are increased and the energy the caster uses is decreased.

Ancient Abilities:

Spirit Link

Binds a called wild animal to u permantly. This can only be used once, so choose carefully. (maybe an image to represent instead, like a feather for birds)

Bless the Wild

Like bless spirit, but it can only be used on a "spirit linked" animal.

Solidify Shadow Twin

The shadow twin becomes solid and can now touch anything, including using a weapon. However the shadow twin still does not appear to be solid to other satyrs. This ability only last for 24 hours, then the twin will return to it's non-solid form.

Puppet Master

You gain complete control over any being you choose, not including other satyrs. You can force your will upon the 'puppet' though you can't make it do something against their nature/alignment.

Trans-species

Enables you to turn a target of your choice temporarily into another species. The transformation only lasts for half an hour.

Spirit Shield

This blocks all physical attacks for 10 seconds. The satyr using this shield will glow unnaturally for the duration of the skill. This can only be used on yourself.

Soul Shifter

You can hide yourself in any other living being completely, but in this state you can't use other Abilities nor will you have control over the being you are hiding in.

Shadow Messenger

You will take a fragment of a shadow to save a message and a destination in it and bind the shadow fragment in any 'dead' object (like stones and man-made things) Once the shadow has reached its destination it will unfold the message and disappear, leaving the object it was bound to behind.

Ability Rules:


  • Bells cannot use abilities, for the simple reason that they are Bells.
  • Abilities may not be used to harm other Satyrs
  • You may choose one Ability every new Stage you reach, let us know which Ability you choose for the next Stage in the "My Abilities" sticky in this forum using the provided Form in the Thread
  • You can only have 4 Abilities max. at a time
  • You can choose any Ability of your current stage/upcoming stage and below
  • You may replace a lower stage Ability when you reach the your next stage (i.e. You will reach Adult stage soon and currently have 1 Child ability, you may choose 2 Adult stage Abilities)
  • You can choose no more than 2 Abilities per stage (which means you can replace one ability per stage)
  • Regarding the Ability "Puppet Master": IF you try to kill another satyr or wound him/her you will instantly be sealed in your bell for at least 2 weeks (irl time) and cannot use any skill for at least 1 month, just because its against the general satyr nature/alignment to kill one of their own.
    The attacked satyr (only applies to child and adult stage) might go back one stage for 24 hours depending on how much he is damaged to recover.
  • as soon as you hit your next stage you can choose the skill for the stage after in the 'my abilities' thread.
  • More Rules added as we see fit...
