Once the sun sets, night takes over..filling the land with darkness. It is at this time that the creatures of darkness come out to play. However, a night with full moon is said to bring out more.
Nykto flew through the sky as high as he was able, truly glad for the bright full moon that hung high in the sky. The rays of light that fell upon him were soothing, completely different from the rays of the sun. This was Nykto's kind of night, and he was more than ready for it despite not having slept hardly at all during the day. He felt alive now, and somehow refreshed. However, having very little sleep made him a little more odd than usual.
"Haha!" he laughed out loud. He didn't care who heard him, he was ready for anything now. He was in one of his better moods and was ready for some entertainment. Ready to fight the world, he continued his flight, scanning the land below him for something to kill.

 Asyriel was also out and about this night... though the dark-winged female was on the ground at current. She had a little cave that she had found a while back that she was using as something of a 'home', though with her, it couldn't really be called such. She had gathered various bones and bits of feather from an area nearby and scattered them about her cave ... giving it a rather unsettling aura to any who passed by.
After all, she preferred her own company to that of others. If she had to interact with anyone else, she tended to do her best to make them ... quite uneasy with her. It was something of a game.
Hearing that laugh up above, the mare flung her head up and snorted softly. Well, well. Someone to play with, perhaps...? Clambering up the hill behind her cave, Asyriel found a rock to launch herself off of and also took to the air, feathers rustling.
"Whoooo is up there~?" she called, voice wavering in the wind.

As he watched the land below him, he just barely noticed a dark figure take to the skies. He grinned; he'd found his 'prey'. He beat his wings harder, soaring up higher into a group of low clouds and waited for the right moment.
His ears swiveled as the sound of the other's voice came to his ears. The voice sounded feminine, but he couldn't be sure. It didn't matter either way. Any being that would come after some unknown creature in the sky was obviously not too worried about getting hurt; he figured this being could take care of itself.
Silently, he made his move, falling out of the sky to launch himself at whoever it was. His attack wasn't actually meant to harm Ayyriel, but to at least get her attention. Should his attack land, she might not be hurt, but touched in order to start Nykto's game of 'tag'.

Asyriel glanced up just as Nykto fell, though ... and so swooped out of the way. But still, he almost did touch her. Who was this?! With something like a screech, Asyriel turned on and wingtip and bared her teeth at the male.
"Answer the question!" she hissed. "Who are you?"

He let out another laugh as the female managed to dodge his attack; there was no doubt she was a worthy opponent. He would have fun with her. He paused in his thoughts suddenly as she called out again. Had his plan really been to kill her? Even he couldn't understand his own thoughts at times. Perhaps he'd gotten a little carried away with violence on his mind. It was never good for him to allow bloodlust to over take him.
He quickly moved to fly evenly with the female, keeping a bit of distance between them. "So snappy, you must have no patience," he he kept his gaze straight ahead as he continued flying beside her. "You seem so interested to know who I am, but I might ask you the same. Here I was minding my own business when you came flying up." He smirked as he glanced sideways at her.

"Mph ... perhaps so, but I was merely curious. You attacked me," she countered, with another little hiss. Glancing over at him, she wondered just what sort of creature he was. Around these parts, the only other fliers she had seen were the ones with feathered wings - though theirs were smaller than hers.
"It is true that I have no patience with those who attack first and then ask questions." And she didn't give her name.

"Aw.." he murmured softly as he began to fly in a weaving pattern beside her. "You must forgive me. I hadn't meant to upset you, I was merely curious as well. And my good mood had got the better of me." His wings beat harder as he moved a little ahead of her. "You see, I was only looking for some fun."
As he spoke, he looked her over, easily noticing her features in the bright moonlight. She was curious looking to him; having a tail resembling his own. However she had feathered wings..quite peculiar indeed, he thought.

"Fun?" she asked, chuckling softly. "You are looking for fun, and so you attack others..?" Her eyes flashed in the moonlight and she beat her own wings faster, suddenly surging toward him.
When she caught up, she stretched her neck out and snapped teeth at one of his wings. "Perhaps I should attack and call it fun as well!"
