Calais held Terran's hand as they walked down the path towards a grassy field. She has several sandwhiches in a basket in her other hand. Every once in a while Calais was forced to stop when Terran would dig his hooves into the ground thouroughly distracted by anything that was off in the distance "oh c'mon baby" she smiled. Calais was excited to see Kieran and her other son "you get to play with your brother when we get to the field!" Terran's ears twitched and he returned to his mother's side and they continued their walk.

Kieran walks out to the field from the other direction, carrying Takis on one arm and a checkered blanket on the other. "We're almost there," says Kieran, laughing as his son clings for dear life to his head to keep from falling. "Then you can play with your brother." He makes deep strides to the clear spot among the tall grasses, and puts Takis down, spreading out the blanket.Takis shakes himself off once he's again on solid ground. How he hated heights! He picks up a stick and whacks at the grass, making "Kyah!" and "Pwah!" noises.

Calais smiled widened when she saw Kieran, she just wanted to let go of Terran's hand and run up to him and kiss him. She wasn't exactly how well that would fly for the boys though so she held her composure. "Kieran!" she waved with the hand carrying the basket.
"Look Terran, its daddy and Takis" she told him, "so you can stop and play now." Calais let go of Terran's hand and closed the distance between the family. Calais bent down to hug Takis, "Hey Takis, how are you?" She looked up at Kieran and smiled.
Terran looked at his hand where his mother had let go, cool, he was free to run around the field now. But he supposed he should say hi to his dad and brother first. "Hewwo," he said shyly from behind his mother's leg.

"Mamma!" exclaims Takis, dropping his stick and making a flying leap for Calais. He hugs her around the neck and wiggles his legs for emphasis. The little boy had certainly become a boisterous ball of boyish energy. Small wonder where he'd gotten that from.
Kieran smiles and crouches down next to Terran. "Hey, buddy!" he says. "How's my boy?" He opens his arms for a hug.
Gods, his life was perfect right now.

"Oof!" Calais exaggerated as Takis leaped at her. She let the small fawn knock her over even though she could've stayed upright. "Wow, you've gotten so strong" she exclaimed at her son as she wrapped her arms around him and rocked him back and forth.
Terran looked over at his brother with a small pang of jealously, he had been a little possessive of his mother. His glance quickly turned back to his dad though. He just need to be more enthusiastic then Takis, so Terran copied his brother. Yes, that was a good idea. Terran flung himself into Terran's open arms. "Dada!" he exclaimed as cutely as he possibly could as he buried his head into his father's fluffy chest.

"Uh-huh!" agrees Takis, nodding emphatically and showing off his little biceps. "Papa's been teaching me Man Stuff," he says proudly. "Like makin' sandcastles and gettin' dirty an' stuff." He grins.
Kieran chuckles and gathers the little boy into his arms. "How are you, my little Terran?" he asks, kissing his head. He settles Terran into his lap.
He looks at Calais over Terran's head and smiles a giant, goofy, happy boyish smile.

"Getting dirty?" Calais asked him looking over at Kieran with raised eyebrows. "Sounds like you're having lots of fun then, huh. Does your dad get to play in the dirt too?" Calais grinned back at Kieran when she saw the smile on his face. She couldn't wait until the boys would play with each other so that she could spend some time with him. Calais smiled at Takis, "You're becoming such a little man."
Terran patted his head down with his hand. "Ewwww, kisses" he cringed as he tried to wipe off the kiss. Terran could hear Takis talking about man stuff and he looked up at his daddy. "How comes I don't get to learn man stuff?" he asked Kieran with a pouty face.

Kieran looks down at Terran. "That's....a very good question." He looks back to Calais. "I...I have something I'd like to talk with you about, love," he says.
"Uh-huh!" agrees Takis enthusiastically. "He likes playing in the dirt even more than me!"
