A game for optimists.

How To Play:
The person above you will post something negative about Hawaii.

In the next post, you turn it around and point out how what they're talking about is good, or just make it sound optimistic.

Then post something bad and the next person will carry on from there.

Examples

I HATE how Ala Moana beach always smells like sunscreen.

But I LOVE that it means there's more spam for us!

I HATE how all the chain stores I want to shop at never have a branch in our state.

I love the fact that I go can to the NEX and get college supplies at lower prices.

I hate when people from the mainland that I meet on gaia think Hawaii is all fun in the sun and paradise when it's more than that.

But I love that it means more people will vacation here, because a lot of the jobs my family members have is linked to the tourism industry. More tourists = more likely to keep their jobs.

I hate that the 50th State Fair charges so much money for admission and wristbands!

I hate that there are some schools that only accept Hawaiian people. (ahem, kamehameha)

but i love that we have a bunch of hawaii-only restaurants that are overwhelmingly delicious!
I hate that mufi dumped sewage into that one canal in waikiki.
