Fiore drew the damp cloth across his face and neck before slinking down into the stream. His cloven hooves scrapped against the stones, his middle-aged joints popping when he moved the wrong way. He stretched out on his stomach in the water, human half laying against the shore with his head laying on folded arms.
This was the life. With Summer raging all around him, he found comfort in this little shaded area, where the water was calm and trees were plentiful. Now, if only he had some company, this would be heaven.

Cheveyo sighed contently as he made his way towards the stream, hands locked behind his head. He had managed to talk Riome into babysitting his kids, so he could finally have some time to himself. His plans with Kolina were changing. Her life was hectic and she was made to move around a lot because of the job she had managed to get, so slowly but surely his youngest two were coming to live with him. So, yes, relaxtion time was limited. He saw the water through a break in the undergrowth, and stepped over a log into the open. He froze when he was immediately face with another man (though admittedly he did do a double take, this one was almost too pretty.) He hesitated, then put his other three hoves onto the other side of the log. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize someone was already here."

Fiore rolled his head up and paused, not really sure what to say (though his cheeks did darken). Under normal circumstances he wouldn't be caught dead sprawled out like this, but since he already was (and very comfy) he decided to let it go. "It's alright, I won't bite." He smiled pleasantly, creamy white hair flopping around his face as it worked out of the flimsy ribbon. His eyes ran over the males equipment, one eyebrow arching up. "Pardon me, but isn't it a little warm for that?"

Cheveyo looked uncertain for a moment, but the heat drove him to stay here. He looked down at the things strapped to his body, and blinked, "I don't really notice them anymore," he said honestly, shrugging a shoulder. He place his bow against the tree, and started to undo his belt, but paused and glanced at Fiore, "Did you want some privacy? I don't want to intrude, this is just where I usually come to cool down." He was impressed by his own casual behavior. Usually he was very awkward around other people! Age probably had something to do with it by this point.

Fiore shifted in the water, head propped up on his arm. "Oh no, I'd enjoy the company, actually." Somewhere between all the adoptions and constant haggling from his old friend, the cervitaur had become noise needy. When it was quiet, it allowed his thoughts to drift and that wasn't good.
"Is this your land?" He blinked, eyebrows knitted together as it hit him.

Cheveyo chuckled and got comfortable after all his gear was removed. "No, I guess this is just outside of my land. He pointed up towards a nearby cliff, "My land is up there," he said, edging himself into the water. "Nice and private, and difficult to get to if you don't know the way," he said, smiling lightly and looking back at Fiore, "You're not trespassing, if thats what you're worried about." He scooped some water up with both hands, then tipped it over his hair.

Fiore followed his finger and 'hmphed' curiously. "Really? My home isn't far from yours, and yet I've never seen you before." And surely he would have, considering that his cattaur son had roamed the surrounding woods to the point of obsession as a child.
"If I'd known I had a neighbor, or neighbors, I would have invited you over for dinner." And it was true. If anything, Fiore had connections and food was never an object of worry.

"I'm somewhat of a ghost most of the time," Cheveyo said, though he smiled gratefully at the mention of would-have-been dinner invitations, "Honestly, I tried not to be seen by the people who have lived near me over the years," he shifted awkwardly, feeling that maybe he was talking too much. "Not because I don't like them. Its just that its been just me and my kids for so long." Yes, he was saying too much, so he trailed off and smiled uncomfortably.

"Thats..." Fiore didn't have a word for it, but tragic seemed to settle well. His brows furrowed in concern as the cool water lapped around him. Slowly, he shook his head. "Nevermind, I understand perfectly." Picking up on the others unease, he quickly changed the flow of the conversation. "You could bring them over, if you like." Fiore smiled brighter. "I love children and so does my adoptive son, Aubi.....but not in the wrong way." He added quickly.

Cheveyo laughed at that, even though it wasn't very appropriate, "I take things at face value, I wouldn't have thought the wrong way about it." He hesitated, running his hands through his now-wet hair, "You know...that sounds good. I shouldn't keep them isolated up there all the time, they need to meet people," he said, offering the other man a thankful smile, which turned into a small frown. "I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself. My name is Cheveyo."

Fiore laughed as well, his cheeks a little flushed from embarrassment as he shook his head. "Exactly. Besides, if you needed to leave for some reason or another, who would they stay with?" He sat up fully, taking down his long hair to shake it out. With his hands together he scooped up a handful of water and dumped it on his head. "Pleasure to meet you, Cheveyo." Fiore swiped a waterfall of hair away from his face. "My name's Fiore."

"Fiore. That's fitting," Chev replied with a chuckle. He got a thoughtful look on his face, "Usually I drag my little brother up the hill to look after them," he frowned and sighed, "He's got his own babies now though, so you've got a point. It'll be good for me to get to know people. Starting with you, if thats alright?" he smiled, scooping up more water, and rubbing it over his shoulders. Usually he'd lay down in the water and roll a little, but he couldn't do something so undignified when someone else was around.

"Then it's settled. You'll have dinner at my home tonight, if thats alright." He warbled over to a deeper end of the water and dipped his entire head under, coming out with a gasp. "I-It-It's alot colder than it was before." Fiore shook his hair out, gathering it in a bunch to squeeze out the water. To his dismay all the flowers he had specifically placed in his antlers floated downstream.
"If I'm not prying, how many children do you have? I'd like to know that I'll have enough to feed them."

"Four," Cheveyo said with a proud look, "But I'll probably only be bringing the youngest of them with me. Anoki and Ayasha," he said, beaming and letting out a happy sigh. He looked in the direction of the escaping flowers, and gave him a sorry smile, "That looked like you'd spent ages getting it right." He didn't understand decorating one's hair, but it had looked quite nice. Not that he needed them for that.

Fiore choked. "Four?" Assuming they were all birth children, this man was truly blessed! "Thats wonderful, and I can't wait to meet the two of them." He scratched behind his ear as he pondered, then listened back in, shaking his head. "Not really, it's just annoying to do it again. Those were the last of my Spring collection." When he thought it over, the whole conversation painted him in a very feminine light, but at this stage in his life it didn't matter.
