Bio: Nobody really knows the history of those who live in the Velvet room. She has both an older and a younger sibling, but who are her parents? How did she grow up? Is she Human, a Shadow, or some sort of Demon or Deity? Much of this is shrouded in mystery, and this odd young woman seems in no hurry to tell. About the only thing one can be sure of is that like many denizens of the Velvet Room, she holds truly fantastic power... Personality: Friendly but reserved, Haru suffers from severe depression, loneliness, and guilt. She bears the burden of several secrets she tends to keep under her belt, and has a very difficult time approaching or truly opening up to people. Her only joy seems to be singing, but lately, the energy has left her voice. She has a strange proclivity to landing herself in very dangerous situations.
Bio: Haru's life is a sad story. Mistreated by her parents at a young age, though not necessarily abused, she struggled to earn their approval and attention...never quite achieving that goal before her parents died in a car crash in her early teens. Afterward she suffered from an acute case of survivor's guilt, feeling responsible for her parents deaths and guilt that she did not die with them. Her only refuge was her singing, at which she excelled, and she continued to sing anywhere and everywhere she could even after graduation. Soon after high school she began to sing on street corners, and it was there that she was noticed by the lead vocalist for a popular indie band called D-Va. The vocalist, Aya, was so impressed with Haru that she convinced her to join the band...becoming something of an older sister to Haru in the process. The two became close, and after a few months of working together, Aya announced that Haru would take over as the lead vocalist with Aya retreating to the keyboard...but Haru never quite felt comfortable in her own skin after being convinced to replace Aya, despite her skill. Still, the months she spent thereafter with Aya were the best of her life...until 6 months ago, Aya disappeared without a trace. Shocked and heartbroken, Haru inherited Aya's Sequencer, a keyboard containing several of the songs which Aya had composed...and then eventually placed the band on hiatus, disappearing herself. It has been a while since Haru has been positively ID'd by anybody, but it was rumored she was in the Inaba area during the recent lockdown.

Personality: Mataki acts with how others see him in mind, as the president of the student council. Although people tend to gravitate towards him, his actions usually demand that those around him act with pride and make sure to follow the rules, much to the chagrin of some of the frivolous students in Yasogami. Even so he shows a kinder side towards his friends, and tries to lay off his serious attitude a bit when they're not in school, knowing that he puts many people on edge just by being around him.
Bio: Mataki was born in Tokyo, but by the time he was three his parents had already chosen to split up. Because of this Mataki moved to Inaba with his mother, and has very few memories outside of the town he grew up in except for school related events. As the heir to his family, Mataki tends to act politely in front of others and minds his manners whenever he is in front of his family, but thanks to it he grew up with a fervent determination to become the best person he could be. In his second year at Yasogami High he became the Vice-President of the student council, and during the disappearing incidents last year he attempted repeatedly to have the authorities pay closer attention to the attendance records, caring for the students who might be in trouble due to the double-homicides that had claimed one of Yasogami's students, people he felt were his responsibility. At the end of the year he unanimously won the vote for President, and has since taken steps as the Student Council President to ensure that Yasogami was safer than ever, even as trouble began to brew in Inaba. Even if he can't assist people with the current troubles, he still wants to do what he can and protect the school he's attached to, and in turn works hard to make sure every day is as uneventful as the last, and every festival is celebrated with spirits as high as they can be.

Personality: Reclusive and independent, Aleph has learned over many years that depending on others for too much is pointless. Through time and travel, trial and error, the only person Aleph truly believes in is herself. Pursuing the Reason of Musubi is a given for someone as jaded against others as herself, though she still occasionally uses those who work within the Order of Messiah to her advantage. Her logic is that as long as they are acting under her direction, even if they fail to achieve all that she orders of them, they will at least manage to hinder her enemies a little before the end. Fairly unfeeling towards her followers (she is infamous for her Icy Glare of Doom which might as well signal a death sentence for those who fail her), she is nonetheless seen as wise, and her strange beauty curries the favor of her men in more ways than one.

One interesting note about her is that while you might expect someone like her to be a little more set against others, other Reasons, and perhaps the force behind Creation itself, she actually acts fairly loose, cool, and/or worn out about things that are major. It is her ability to accept results, whatever they might be, and make the best out of them that makes many wonder how she became so experienced for someone her age. Because of her cold nature, formidable power, and intelligence which makes her an ideal leader, her followers know her as the 'Beautiful Banchou'...an homage not only to her fine looks and style, but to her strength and position as their leader.

Bio: The history of Aleph Malak before coming to Inaba is a secret only she and God could tell you, and the story of how she became a prominent figure in the town of Inaba is something of a myth which has spread throughout the back alleys of the town and the gangs that had cropped up during the last days of the Lockdown. The way most tell the story is that a gang of extremists who subscribed to an ideal of isolation (to the point of violently rejecting those who sought to interfere in their way of life) as a way to escape the terror of those days were holed up in a small, abandoned bar. Anyone who came too close received a violent rejection, and eventually they began to grow arrogant in their strength. Even after the Lockdown, they maintained their way of living and rejected anyone who ventured too close...until one day, as the bartender of the 'Order of Hell' (Bar) tells it, "A young woman, beautiful and refined, with horns on her head walked into the bar. The boys surrounded her, thinking o' her like some kind o' fresh meat. And that's when she sighed, picked up a drink from the nearest table...and beat the livin' s**t out of the whole lot of them without spillin' a drop!"

True or false, she gained quite a reputation amongst the group which lived there, and after inviting (like they had a choice) her to stay in the back rooms for a while, they began to listen to her as though she were the leader of their group, giving her the affectionate (but respectful) nickname which she is known by now. She didn't really want the hassle...but when push came to shove, she didn't really disagree with their way of living...during her life she had long-since decided that life was meaningless unless you were the center of your own world. That the intervention of others, especially God, was only a hindrance...a curse which humanity, and herself in particular, could not shed. She subscribed to the Reason of Musubi, and those who spent their time in the (now renamed) 'Order of Messiah' were required to do the same. It wasn't ideal, but hey, at least they weren't some square idealists or worse...

Finding the situation inside the bar agreeable, she became the head of the Group which had begun to rise and grow strong around her presence as the Beautiful Banchou. Though it's a bit of a hassle, experience has taught her that the people around her could be useful in one way or another...so long as they're all dancing to her own tune. And in that way, she might be able to one day soon realize her own Reason...and undercut those twits in Port Island working so hard to bring about the Creation right at the very end.

Personality: Kisa is a slightly odd girl, but maybe this is to be expected from the things that have happened to her. She's generally soft-spoken, but not exactly shy, merely quiet. She's also used to rejection, and so making bonds with people is a little difficult for her. The fact that her body is covered in tattoos as a result of her transformation doesn't help, not with a country that views tattoos the way Japan does. But it may be that she's stronger than most people think; her outfit consists of tight-fitting leggings that only reach her knees and some sort of... top thing... that preserves her modesty and isn't exactly erotic but isn't super-covering either. And more to the point, Kisa is willing to fight if she has to, and underestimating her is an often-fatal mistake, since she has the pure spirit of a human coupled with the physical and magical power of a demon.

Bio: It's not quite apparent what went wrong in Kisa's life to turn her into the sort of monster she is now. That is, an entity that is half-demon, something of an abomination to purists on either side of the spectrum. However, even among the incredibly small number of people like her (far fewer than the other power types), she's a little bit of an outcast in that her Reason, the alignment she follows, is True Neutral. Or, in another sense, it doesn't actually exist, unlike those who have to stay on the path of Light, Dark, or ordinary Neutral, more commonly known as the choice between Law and Chaos, or staying inbetween. This provides Kisa with a surprising capability of using Magatama aligned with any Reason at will. She hasn't made much in the way of friends so far, however, but when she does make them, she can be startlingly loyal in her own way.

[Description of Effect: On its own, the Neo-Nihil Blade has no unique properties. However, for one who has the power to subdue or defeat a demon, the blade can be altered. To do this, one must forcefully extract a demon's essence (usually an item left behind after its defeat) or convince the demon to willingly cede it to you. Once you have the item, it can be placed in one of the two slots on the sword's hilt to enchant it with a brand new effect! Two effects can be fused to the sword at any given time, and if you wish to replace one of the current effects, you must PERMANENTLY remove the previous effect in favor of the new one (as removing the item from the blade will destroy it). These effects range in power from Low to High in Level, usually, dependent upon the level of the demon whose power is fused within the sword. For example, fusing a Pixie with the blade may enable a +1 Magic effect, while fusing a Surt with the blade may enable a Fire Boost effect (these are examples, not necessarily the actual effect for said demons). For specifics on what the new skill learned by fusing a particular demon with the sword, consult with Daidara (Arena Emperor). When fused with a demon's power, the sword will change appearances appropriately and may be given a new name. Up to two extra fusion items can be carried beyond what is put into the sword, though the effects cannot be changed during battle.]

Jormungandr's Distilled Venom
Item Type: Reusable Item
Description: A distilled and slightly diluted vial of the poison taken from the fangs of Jormungandr the World Snake, this poison nonetheless can slowly strike down an enemy and place them into a very precarious state. The first person to ingest this poison will endure a long period of excruciating pain as the poison adapts to their body. Afterward, however, they will take on a one or two slightly-demonic facial traits and may elongate a set of fangs at will. These fangs are the method henceforth how they deliver their venom.
Effect: Bitten enemies will have 3 turns in an incurable 'Poison' state before they are stricken into a frozen, comatose-like state. If they have not received the anti-venom for the poison at the end of 3 weeks (Real Time) or 1 day (Guild Time), whichever comes first, the bite victim will die.
