Has anyone heard of James Barclay, and his books. I found one, Elfsorrow, part of the legends of the raven series, at my local used bookstore. It looks like it might be printed in England. I am having troble finding out if It is one of those series that needs to be started with the first book, even if they are diffrent trills. or if I can go ahead and start with this one which I think is a prequel.

I'm afraid to say it is one of those series you need to begin from the start. It is the only way you can follow the plotline and the character development - if you fail to read the series in order, it can be confusing and hard to get into. The first book in the series is Dawnthief which is basically a prolouge to the rest of the series.

I read the first book Dawnthief, in Korea, but I haven't read the rest yet.
