Worst moment caused by me: During one of our songs, the audience started jumping on the chorus. Seeing as I wrote the lyrics I was pumped and started jumping too. I jumped on my volume pedal. 2 seconds later I realize what I've done and push it back up. My band then enacted the rule "the bass player doesn't jump on stage".
Worst moment caused by soundman: At my latest show I DI'd my bass to reduce unneeded on-stage noise. When I told the soundman earlier in the week his response was "Great!". So, I get up there, plug in my pedalboard and DI. Guess what his DI box doesn't work. "Is your pedal broken?" he asks. No, I just played on it 30 minutes ago, YOUR equipment is faulty, I wanted to say. He then plugged me in through anotherbox and I got soung out of the house. After our first song I noticed something strange: I was not coming out of the monitors. I ask "can we get bass in the monitors?". "No" was the reply. Goo to know that the soundguys know what they're doing.
Edit: Worst moment caused by the very foces of nature: An outdoor concert. Right before my band is about to play, we get word that our area is under a tornado warning. Crap. We all go inside and are happy, until the tarp above the stage blows over (the poles were bent and snapped). We then get to run out into pouring rain to rescue thousands of $$$s worth of musical equipment. The next 2 hours are spent blowdrying amps, cabs, DI boxes, and mics. When we finally get to play, guess what? Bass isn't in the main mix AND we have no monitors. Can't believe I forgot about that.

Worst moment caused by one of my former guitarist: I know it may not be a big deal to most of you... but if your a guy and someone spills a drink or something on your pants... and the only spare clothes there are a very skimpy/tight pair of chik shorts... (ha ha! jo...) and you have one more set to go to finish the night...AND your the lead vocals... it's a bit distracting and in a way embarassing. I'm not Angus Young afterall.
Worst moment caused by soundman: Getting straight to the point, first the microphone wouldnt work... then once they got the mic to come through, the guitars werent coming through the monitors. Once the guitars came back on... the mic didnt work again. Freakin' morons I say.

worst moment on stage: I was playing bass lines for Crimson Fallout on 11th Hour while Zach was fixing something he broke(haha) and Tommy did a spin kick, accidentally kicking Wil into me and I fell off the stage. It was hilarious, yet painful.

It was my very first performance onstage in front of anyone:the audience included my friends (not in the band) and their friends, who invited their friends and so on....well,I was wearing some pretty baggy a** black pants that day,and I didn't notice but as my friend (we'll call him Bob) Bob walked behind me playing his Electric,he forgot about my pants and he stepped on one of the pant legs, pulling them down, and exposing my highly incriminating Hello Kitty panties...I threw them out and havemade sure not to get to close to people ever since

We were the closing act at our schools talent show and it was also my very first show. Our drummers set started falling apart because it wasn't set up exact;y the way she does it. Our mics weren't working so the singers could not be heard and the worst part was afterwards people came up to us and told ud "you guys were great". That was what got me mad.

Worst concert day, caused by God, nature, me, or a combination of the three... BTW, this was a jazz band concert, not a normal band type of thing, so that explains why I have music... I can't read the bass clef notes, but I just follow along with the chords and make up my own stuff. Anywho...
First, I break my A string the morning of the concert, so I have to get those replaced. Problem is, I can't replace them until just before the concert, so the first time I play those strings is going to be the concert.
Next, when we get there, I forgot the upright bass (that's hard to do... I need it cuz I switch between the two for differant songs) and so I had to attempt to jaywalk the street outside of my high school (we were playing across the street) and then come back across it, dodging 4 lanes of traffic carrying an upright on me.
Then, as we're setting up, I find that my cord is uncooprative. Luckily, I manage to find a replacement easily enough.
Then the concert starts. Things go smoothly until randomly, the music that I had blows off my stand. What was weird about it is this: I'm 20 feet away from the open door, there's people - and music - in between the door and me, and no one else's even got bothered by the wind. Luckily, I usually play from memory anyways, so it's not that big of a deal.
Then, I have a solo. The second I start the solo, my strap breaks. So, I play my electric like an upright for style points, lol
Finally, after the concert, I'm glad it's over, so I lean against a wall and sigh. Apparently, my sigh caused a pole to fall over which I managed to catch right before it would have smacked my head.
On the way home from the concert, I accidentally trip over a sprinkler, and as I turn around and flip it off - I'm already in a bit of a bad mood - I trip over the curb. And then I got home and hid.
Thanks for asking about my concert, lol

Woah, why do you play with headphones on? Don't you need to listen to the other people, too? That's a new one on me...

worst moment caused by me being broke.
Well, it was a while back While I was still playing a squire xd but, my former band had just wrote a couple songs and we were playing in a large shed/garage thing for about 10 or 12 people and during the guitar solo on the first song, where the drummer puts his double kicker in high gear and I pound out the fastest line I can...( okay, backstory, I had just bought new strings, but didn't have enough for straplocks. So, I thought oh well, if it falls off, I'll drop to the floor real quick and keep playing like it was part of the show)... So I'm just bangin' my head in power stance, when the strap comes off, So I watch as my bass falls to the floor, neck first, and I see the neck snap in half right at the 13th fret. gonk Laughter ensues.

It works wonders and is a lot cheaper.
