PROMPTS

Prompt 1: Complete!
Quote:
Simple, Friendly, Direct: The dawn of a new day approaches. You are just getting out of bed...or are you? Take us through your day, just this one, particular day from morning to night. Are you an early riser? Do you sleep in? Go to work? School? What do you eat, if anything? Does something interesting happen? The content is up to you, but we want to see what happens on any given day, from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed.

Prompt 2: Complete!
Quote:
Oh, wow! Your day certainly seemed exciting! That's great! But...uhh...you seem to be forgetting something. I'm pretty sure this happened at some point in your day. How could you forget it? Remember, that Nutbar creature that just came up to you out of nowhere and demanded that you help it out? That stupid little creature who told you it didn't know where it needed to go, what it needed to get, but it sure as heck needed you to go there and get it for them? Remember, they opened that weird door out of thin air, pointed to a wild goose that appeared out of nowhere that ended up running through the door? The crazy Nutbar pushed you into the doorway too! The doorway closed once you were both on the other side! You came across a whole new strange world! How could you forget that?!

Oooh, I see, your memory of that incident is coming back! At what point in the day did it happen, again? When the nutbar opened that door to another world, what kind of world did the Nutbar make you run through, to chase after that wild goose? It's okay, memories are strange things. Just take it slow, and tell me when it happened, what you thought of it happening while it was happening, and what kind of world you ended up in. What it an alternate universe? Some crazy planet? Based on a video game (Pokemon? Persona 3 or 4? Dokapon Kingdom? .hack? World of Warcraft? Tetris?!)? Other Game (Candy Land, Clue, 13 Dead End Drive, Solitaire, Mahjong)? Book? What do you think of the world, and this crazy smoke creature that keeps licking it's own eyeball to try and think?

**Remember, this happens like the Blind Date RPs do - You're suddenly somewhere else, and time back home just stops. As for the world - the only limit is your imagination! It can be whatever you want it to be.

Prompt 3: Complete!
Quote:
Alright! So, uh, you're in this world, and this really loud, stupid creature is demanding that you help it. Wonderful...

After a while of exploring this world, your Nutbar points at the Wild Goose that had run into the world just before you did (hah, did you notice it?! I bet you didn't!), and demands that you chase and capture it. It's beak has something in it - it looks like a key! Geese aren't that easy to capture however, and this one proves to be no easier than the next. How long does it take to chase the Wild Goose? How did you end up catching it? Did it give up it's key easily, or did it make you fight it?

For clarity: This prompt ends when you retrieve the key from the Wild Goose.

Prompt 4: Complete!
Quote:
Alright! You have the key! That's totally awesome! Your Nutbar is now prattling on about something, either about a box or a popsicle, it's really hard to tell at this point, but in the end, you understand that the key opens a box, and that the Nutbar really, really wants a popsicle. Hey, at least you were mostly right the first time! Grudingly, the goose brings you to a room of boxes, and the Nutbar ever so proudly guards the doorway, preventing you from leaving until you have 'it'!

How many boxes do you try to open until you get one that does? What is inside? Is there something in it? Is is empty? Was this what the Nutbar was looking for? If it is, does it let you leave to go back home, or does the easily distracted creature need convincing? If it isn't what it was looking for, where do you end up finding it? Was there ever a 'thing' that it wanted to look for, or did this whole quest end up as a giant derailing in the Nutbar's quest to get a popsicle?

You eventually end up back home, where the previously paused time resumes once more.

What happens after you received the key from the previous prompt is entirely up to you. The above paragraph is just a bunch of suggestions, but feel free to toss your own in there to finish this...stupid little adventure! You are also now free to choose what the Nutbar was making you look for. If it even was looking for something. You never know with those things, they're remarkably stupid.

THE END.

PROMPT 1

Aya bounced around excitedly. She had been up since eight that morning and had already rearranged the contents of the cookware cabinet on the floor into designs only she could really understand. Bored with that she decided it was time for her mom to wake up. A quick jump to reach the knob and she was in! The darkness was no problem since the small clear spots on her skin shed pink light into the room. Aya clambered up on the bed and started jumping.
"Momma, Momma, Momma, Momma! Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!!"
Upon receiving only a groan she jumped on her mom and got a much more satisfying response: a yelp and a new word! Aya giggled and raced out of the room.
Amanda came stumbling out a few minutes later, having thrown on a simple shirt and shorts, her ash-brown hair in a tangled mess around her face since it always managed to escape her ponytail as she slept. She pulled out a pack of poptarts, ripped the top open slightly and handed it to Aya before escaping back to her room to find a brush. Aya giggled and devoured one of the poptarts before her mom came back out with slightly tamer hair. As she dragged the bubbly girl to her room get her dressed for the day Aya bombared her with questions.
"What flavor are the poptarts?"
"Sundae"
"They don't taste like a sundae."
"Nope!"
"Why do they call them sundae if they don't taste like one?"
"Cause it was the best name they could think of."
Amanda stalled any other questions by forcing a lime green tank top over Aya's head. She was about to add brown shorts to the ensamble when Aya shouted, "I want the blue ones!!" Amanda shook her head, but in a manner of defeat. Aya would only strip away the offending garment if she didn't want to wear it, as Amanda found out the hard way during a shopping trip. So bright blue shorts it was, along with white flipflops that had green palm tree patterns on them. They left the house to go play at the park, Amanda snagging the leftover poptart as they went.

Aya skipped along next to Momma, laughing. They'd had a lot of fun playing in the park all morning. Momma bought hot dogs and soda and even some ice cream for lunch! Proper sundaes too, not like those fake pop tarts! Now they were on the beach, heading back home, and Aya was soaked with sea water! Her pockets bulged with all the pretty shells she'd found, so she kept making Momma hold all the new ones she came across.

Once they got home it was dinner time. Aya insisted on helping, so she got to stir the Mac&Cheese noodles while Momma ruined her pretty pot art and put them all back in the cabinet. After dinner Momma went to go do boring stuff on her computer, which left Aya all alone. She thought for a minute, then decided to host an arts and crafts show! But first she needed a building to show her art in. And so a blanket fort was born! Aya dragged her art stuff under the tent and began to paint masterpieces to fill up the muesum! Aya thought it was so cool how the paint only showed up on her paper and not the carpet, but was not satisfied with the answer Momma had given her as to why that was.
She had made several masterpieces by the time Momma came to find her for bath time. Aya showed them off proudly and got lots of praise from Momma, though she did seem unhappy that it was her blanket Aya had used to make the muesum.
After bath time was bed time. Aya protested loudly when Momma wanted to take back her blanket. "You can't destroy the art museum!! Where'll all the art go?!"
Like all mommas Amanda had an answer for everything, and soon the fridge was covered with Aya's paintings. Aya got tucked into bed, but as soon as Amanda left the room Aya was on the floor playing with her toys. Eventually the sound of typing on the keyboard lulled her to sleep, burrowed in a giant pile of plushies.

PROMPT 2

Aya sat at a mental picnic bench, swinging her feet, bored. She and Momma had been eating hotdogs and drinking soda. Momma had finished hers first, then got up and told Aya to stay. She promised a special treat if the child was still there when she got back. So there Aya sat, picking at the remnants of her hotdog and looking for ways to amuse herself. Making light dance out from her hands on the table was doing the trick so far, but threatened to get boring pretty quickly.
A small voice suddenly caught Aya's attention. It sounded like something muttering rapidly to itself. "Glowylightgirlssupposedtobebadalwaysgrabbygrabbybadbad," it said. New game, find the thing talking! Aya looked all around her but didn't see anything. Not even when she looked under the table, which was always a great place to find stuff! The voice seemed to taunt her. "Hahacannotfindmegraygirlwontgetme!" Frustrated, Aya tried looking in the only direction left, up. Success!! There in the tree branch over her head was a funny-looking creature. It was like a gray blob of smoke with a giant eye and pretty gold necklace, and seemed to be absent-mindedly chewing on the tree branch.
"Found ya," Aya declared proudly! As winner of the game it was now the task of this creature to amuse her! She stood up on the bench and reached towards the creature, which made a high-pitch squealing sound that was probably meant as a scream. "Notouchienotouchiebadbadbad!"
"Aw, come on!" Aya looked around, wondering if there was anything she could use to lure the creature down. She picked up the second half of her hotdog and held it up, offering it to the creature. "I'll give you this," she said. It seemed to think about it, looking between her and the food. "YougivemefoodnograbbieandIcomedownyes," it ordered. That wouldn't do! How would Aya have fun if she could grab ahold of the creature? "I'll give you food if you let me hold you!" Whatever the creature was it didn't seem too smart. "Okaydeal!"
It zoomed down from the tree and snatched the hotdog half, practically inhaling it in one go. Before Aya could catch it the thing darted away and started doing fast loops around the base of the tree. "Hey, bad Trick," she giggled and jumped off the bench to chase Trick, not really paying much attention to the door that was starting to form in the tree trunk. It was all a fun game to her!
Finally Aya managed a spectacular leap and caught Trick by an arm. "Gotcha," she exclaimed! What made it even more fun was Trick screeching, "AAAHHHHHGRAYGIRLGOTMELETGOLETGOLETGO!!!!" It zoomed one more lap around the tree then went right into the door, dragging the tenacious Aya along with it.

Aya finally managed to get a proper grip on Trick and held him close to her like one of her plushies. She took in her new surroundings while she ignored cries of, "AHHHHGRAYGIRLLETMEGOLETMEGO!" She remembered Trick dragging them through some kind of door, and now everything looked different. It was like she was stuck inside every drawing she had ever made. "Whoa! Where are we, Trick?" By now Trick had given up the fight and was looking around at everything with a wide and confused eye. "HowshouldIknowgraygirlletmegonow?"
"Nope," Aya declared, and rested her chin on Trick's head and she went over to examine a flower. It was bright red, but she thought blue would have suited it better. She reached out to touch it and where her fingers made contact it changed color to bright blue. "Whoa! How'd it do that!?" Trick popped free of Aya's grasp and went to hide in a tree. "Triiiick! Come back!" She ran up to the tree, staring up at the branches. If only she had a ladder! Aya looked around expectantly, but there wasn't a ladder in sight. She huffed. If there wasn't a ladder then she would just draw one!
She pulled out a crayon and started drawing a ladder from the ground up, reaching towards the tree. When she couldn't reach any higher she climbed up on the first couple rungs and continued to draw. A big smile crossed Aya's face; this would be so much fun!!

PROMPT 3

Trick was having an awful time! There was something it had meant to tell the gray girl, but every time it started chewing on something to try to remember the gray girl would grab again! Now she wouldn’t let go, and she had a strong grip for a little thing!
Aya brandished a crayon like a sword in her free hand as she searched for adventure! There had to be an adventure, right? That’s how it always happened in the books Momma read her! But weren’t people supposed to find things on adventures? That stopped her. Hmmmm, what was she looking for? Mabye Trick would know, it was the one who had started their quest! “Hey hey, Trick? What’re we lookin’ for?” Trick made a protesting noise. “HowshouldIknowgraygirlkeepsgrabbygrabbycantthink!!” Aya grinned, unperturbed. “Alright then, we’ll just have to figure it out!”
Right at that moment a goose went waddling by. Aya politely stopped to let it pass and Trick peered out of her arms to see what was going on. It spotted something bright and shiny around the goose’s neck. That had to be what it was looking for! Trick loosened an arm and pointed, “Founditgraygirlgettheshinyletmegoyes!!”
That seemed to be the signal. The goose took off like a shot with Aya following hot on her…….webs! She drew a leash around Trick that attached to her arm so that she could keep a hold of him with her and free her hands at the same time. The chase took them through many different landscapes and pushed the limits of Aya’s creativeness. The boat chase on the lake was the toughest! Aya’s favorite was the chase through air when she got to fly by drawing wings on her feet. By the time they finally cornered the goose Aya was pumped and Trick……well he was foaming at the mouth and desperately chewing at the leash.
The goose might have been cornered but she wasn’t going down without a fight. She spread her wings and hissed. What Aya needed now was a way to distract the goose long enough to grab the key around her neck. What to use, what to use? Cue the light bulb! Aya drew a loaf of bread and began ripping it up and tossing it to the goose, like she saw adults do sometimes. The goose broke off mid-hiss and eyed the bread pieces on the ground. She lowered her wings and leaned forward to cautiously peck a piece. Finding that it was good she set about to the bread with a will.
“Goood goosey, niiiice goosey,” Aya cooed, creeping forward. Of course it couldn’t be that simple. The goose turned around and nearly decked Aya with her wings, but Aya still had Trick on the leash and swung him with all her might. Like Trick said, she was a strong girl. She hit home, stunning the goose for just a moment. That was all she needed to run forward and grab the key. Aya still had to dodge wings and beak, but what was an adventure without a little danger? She held the key up to the sky, triumphant, while the goose waddled away, honking indignantly.

PROMPT 4

Aya turned to Trick. "Okay, now what?" Trick shrugged, still chewing on its leash. "HowIknowthat?" Aya pondered over it for a moment. "Okay, let's go find the goose and ask her! Come on!" And off she went, dragging Trick along with her.
"Goosey? Goooooosey," she called, looking around. The goose couldn't have gotten far. They found her on her lake, sailing around and muttering to herself in a grumbly sort of way. "Miss Goose!!" Aya waved the key in the air to get the goose's attention. "What does the key open?" The goose huffed. The brat had stolen her key; she didn't have to help her find the door. "Won't go away 'til you tell me!" Then again, if it got the brat to go away......
The goose waddled out onto land, honked once and led the way. They stopped at the base of a giant mountain. Nestled away in an unnoticed corner between two rocks was a pretty door. The goose honked again, flapped her wings and waddled away. There, now mabye she could have some peace and quiet!
Aya and Trick stared up at the giant door. Aya gave it an experimental push and it swung open. "Hello," she called, walking inside. It was well lit with pretty glowy lanterns. There were also a bunch of boxes everywhere! She peeked in every box that she passed; most were empty, but some had pretty rocks or statues in them. "Look at this," she said, holding up a giant chunk of purple rock to show Trick. It was unimpressed. "Itsnotfoodgraygirlkeeplookylooky."
They had reached the back of the cave. There, set in the wall, was a small metal door painted bright gold. It matched the key perfectly! Aya looked measuringly at the key then the keyhole, inserted the key, and turned. Bingo! The door opened smoothly and without a sound. A blast of cold air met them. Aya and Trick entered the room.
It was full of popsicles!! There had to be hundreds of boxes, and dozens of different brands! "Whooooooa," Aya and Trick said in unison, three wide eyes taking in the sight. Aya started to go further into the room when a small wooden door suddenly appeared, blocking her path. It creaked open and she felt a sudden force hit her in the back, knocking her through. As she passed the threshold the leash around her arm that attached to Trick vanished. "Triiiiick," Aya protested, turning around to look back in the room. The door was almost completely shut. Aya could hear Trick inside. "Lotsandlotsofpopsiclesgraygirlgonetooyesyesyes!!!"
The door clanged shut and completely disappeared. Aya found herself staring at the trunk of a tree. Behind her was her picnic table. She stomped her foot on the ground. "No fair!!!"
"What's not fair?" Aya swirled around. There was Momma and..........she had ice cream!!! That was so much better than popsicles!!! "Nothing," she said, and reached out for her cone. Amanda handed it to her, wondering what exactly had her eccentric child been up to.
