The Prompt:
Simple, Friendly, Direct: The dawn of a new day approaches. You are just getting out of bed...or are you?
Take us through your day, just this one, particular day from morning to night.
Are you an early riser? Do you sleep in? Go to work? School? What do you eat, if anything? Does something interesting happen?
The content is up to you, but we want to see what happens on any given day, from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed.

A day in the life of a Bug

The Sun was barely rising when our man character of this story decided to wake. The little blond had no need for an alarm clock, time didn’t even exist . The girl didn’t attend school and certainly didn’t work. She simply went to sleep when she wanted to, got up when she wanted to and right now she wanted to get food.

The little girl pushed off her bedding and slowly tiptoed out of bed. Her boss slept just across the room and didn’t like to be forced awake, so she was even more silent as she passed her on her way to the front door.

Our heroine ducked down and crawled under the brambles that blocked the door. It wasn’t a task she much thought about anymore, and the way she would slip by all of the thorns you could believe she had a mystifying skill.

After making her way out of her home she made for the near by eateries, one place would even give her a bag of day old bread if she came by there early enough. So that was going to be where she got her break fest today.

Time passed and the little orphan ate two bagels and fed the rest to a bunch of sparrows in the park. The girl stared and stared at the birds as they fluttered about. How could they do that? She thought to herself as one flew up into a tree. Our heroine , did have a set of wings all of her own , but with no momma bird to teach her, she had not figured out how to fly yet.

After staring a bit more the girl let out a heavy sight, scaring off a dozen or so of the birds that had gathered. The girl stood up with a fierce determination and announced, more to herself, that today was the day she was gonna fly!

The Child wrestled with the fabric of her shirt until both her wings were comfortably free to move. Once the adolescent was prepared, she crouched down and spread her wings. As the girl made her first attempt by jumping and flapping her wings repeatedly, she didn’t get any lift. On and on the little girl tried this method, only ever lifting a few feet higher than she could jump.
“It’s not fair!” she shouted in frustration. The girl stamped her foot and was about to give up until she saw one of the sparrows take lift off of a tree. That’s what she needed to do, start of high, she thought.

After coming to that conclusion she made her way up a tree. When she felt she was high enough she inched her way to the edge of a thick branch. The height didn’t bother her, and the breeze felt nice as it tousled her hair about. The child got into position crouched, jumped, fluttered, and ….. fell.

The drop was sudden, she sat stunned “What happened?” You could hear her questioning no one but herself. After gathering her thoughts the girl moved her arms to ready herself up to try again. That’s when she noticed it. Her arm was all twisted and bent in a funny way. That wasn’t normal, arms don’t bend that way, she panicked. Her eyes widened with fear, tears rolled down her face. She called out but no one was around, who was to hear her pleas?

Our little one managed to get to her feet and ran all the way home. Her guardian had to sill be home! Crawling three limbed she collected cuts and scratches all over as she bolted through the briar patch to get to the door. Finally she got pass them, and oh thank goodness her keeper was just waking up! In full tears, hiccupping even, she tried to point out the horror that had befallen upon her arm to the groggy guardian girl. After rubbing her eyes the older little girl looked at the arm. She frowned at the hysteria“ Your arm’s just broken ,Bug.” The keeper sighed and touched Bug’s arm, in an instant her arm was straight and normal looking again. Now with the girl healed, her guardian gripped onto her while she rolled back into bed.

With everything at peace in the world Bug and her boss slept the afternoon away together.

Prompt 2: Oh, wow! Your day certainly seemed exciting! That's great! But...uhh...you seem to be forgetting something. I'm pretty sure this happened at some point in your day. How could you forget it? Remember, that Nutbar creature that just came up to you out of nowhere and demanded that you help it out? That stupid little creature who told you it didn't know where it needed to go, what it needed to get, but it sure as heck needed you to go there and get it for them? Remember, they opened that weird door out of thin air, pointed to a wild goose that appeared out of nowhere that ended up running through the door? The crazy Nutbar pushed you into the doorway too! The doorway closed once you were both on the other side! You came across a whole new strange world! How could you forget that?!

Oooh, I see, your memory of that incident is coming back! At what point in the day did it happen, again? When the nutbar opened that door to another world, what kind of world did the Nutbar make you run through, to chase after that wild goose? It's okay, memories are strange things. Just take it slow, and tell me when it happened, what you thought of it happening while it was happening, and what kind of world you ended up in. What it an alternate universe? Some crazy planet? Based on a video game (Pokemon? Persona 3 or 4? Dokapon Kingdom? .hack? World of Warcraft? Tetris?!)? Other Game (Candy Land, Clue, 13 Dead End Drive, Solitaire, Mahjong)? Book? What do you think of the world, and this crazy smoke creature that keeps licking it's own eyeball to try and think?

Into the mouth of the beast, no thank you
Bug’s toes felt wet, they were peeking out of the covers a little bit, but they shouldn’t have been wet. Bug opened her eyes when she started to feel a sucking feeling on her foot. Wei had rolled off her ,so Bug sat up with a jolt and stared at the gray blob. It was trying to eat her! Bug pulled her feet away and tucked her legs in close to her body, there was no way she was gonna let anyone eat her.
“No ones allowed to eat me” she whispered harshly to the creature.
“Iknoweatyouyouhelpfindthinglookingfor” The smoke being protested and asked. Bug scrunched her nose, she didn’t like this guy. He had managed to come into their house and made her foot all icky.
Wait. Bug thought to herself. He got into their house. So he had to be a friend of Wei’s. Bug looked over a Wei sleeping, and guessed that it knew not to wake her either so bothered her instead.
“Fine, I guess I’ll have to help you.” Bug reluctantly got up and walked over to the thing.
“So where do we look first?” The thing was rolling about in midair when she asked that it suddenly stopped pausing as if confused by the question. Bug let out a sigh, this guy annoyed her.
“Thiswayiswhereithastobe, yeahhastobehere” The creature’s singular eye widened, more? A door opened after it played with the air a bit. How that door get there? He must had been a magic friend of Wei’s. Bug was little more cautious because he could have more than one ability. Before Bug got the nerve to enter the doorway a little gosling bolted in first. How do things keep getting in here! Bug wanted to know but was edged to follow after the baby goose by the floaty gray thing.

Going through the door was pretty easy, she didn’t like the thing following her breathing down her neck though. It’d drooled which was worse than having slobber on her feet.
Bug stepped on to a hard surface, it looked like wood, but bigger, much more close up. She looked up and saw that the walls were huge, it was almost like being outside there was no way she could ever reach that ceiling with the way she could fly now. Bug looked forward when she heard a little honk. The gosling was running really fast. Bug didn’t have to ask why, because she knew when she felt a heavy hot puff of air blow from above and behind her. Bug looked back and stared right into the mouth of a hungry cat. Bug was too scared to move.

Prompt 3:Alright! So, uh, you're in this world, and this really loud, stupid creature is demanding that you help it. Wonderful...

After a while of exploring this world, your Nutbar points at the Wild Goose that had run into the world just before you did (hah, did you notice it?! I bet you didn't!), and demands that you chase and capture it. It's beak has something in it - it looks like a key! Geese aren't that easy to capture however, and this one proves to be no easier than the next. How long does it take to chase the Wild Goose? How did you end up catching it? Did it give up it's key easily, or did it make you fight it?

You confuse the mice

The nutbar started pulling on Bug’s face, it didn’t seem to notice the cat’s teeth the Bug did.
“Wehavetohurryit’sgettingawayletsgoletsgoletsgonow.” it told Bug as it started dragging her away from the cat. Bug’s cheeks were starting to hurt so she swatted at the thing it get it away.
“Stop it, that huuuuurt’s.” She snapped at it. A low deep growl came from the feline, and Bug remembered the trouble they were in. The gosling was already out of sight and with a mouse hole dead a head she figured she find it later when she was safe so she could get rid of the gray thing and go home.
Bug bolted for the hole, and the nutbar grabbed onto one of Bug’s wings. Bug’s screams got louder, she didn’t like it when people just brushed her wings by accident and this guy just grabbed it with out thinking. The cat raced after them but had to stop short when Bug and the nutbar passed through the hole’s entrance. Bug only had enough time to push the nutbar away when the cat started reaching it’s paw through the opening.
It was dark in the wall, and hard dodging the incoming claws. Bug jumped and ran nearly missing it’s clutches several times, she started to wondered where the smoke guy was when she felt something fuzzy behind her.
The cat had given up and so the light from the hole was enough to see the beaded eyes of the mouse she had pressed against. Bug shriek and backed away as the mouse hissed at her. She was in it’s home and it didn’t want company. She couldn’t leave the cat probably wasn’t far away enough. Just before was about to try and duke it out with the mouse the nutbar slammed into her from the side, hugging her head.
“whatareyoudoingit’srightoverthereithasthekeysobign’shinywehavetogetit.” Bug paused she think she heard it right it seemed to have started talking faster. The mouse seem befuddled by the smoke creature, at least she wasn’t the only one who thought it was weird. Bug’s head entire head was pulled along with the bantering thing to a corner in the mouse’s home. The little gosling honked as they got closer and ruffled it’s feathers throwing dusk everywhere. This seem easy enough, the key was placed lovingly around it’s neck on a chain.
“Nice goosie, I’ve got wings too I’m like you I just want to borrow your key for a second” Bug cooed and spread her wings open so the baby knew she wasn’t a threat. The gosling came up to Bug and brushed it’s beak on Bug’s face, Bug took that as a kiss and pecked it back. While they were having their moment Bug used the distraction to slip the key off it’s ring, a trick she’d learned from a master pick pocket.
She had the key now they could go home!

Prompt 4: Alright! You have the key! That's totally awesome! Your Nutbar is now prattling on about something, either about a box or a popsicle, it's really hard to tell at this point, but in the end, you understand that the key opens a box, and that the Nutbar really, really wants a popsicle. Hey, at least you were mostly right the first time! Grudingly, the goose brings you to a room of boxes, and the Nutbar ever so proudly guards the doorway, preventing you from leaving until you have 'it'!

How many boxes do you try to open until you get one that does? What is inside? Is there something in it? Is is empty? Was this what the Nutbar was looking for? If it is, does it let you leave to go back home, or does the easily distracted creature need convincing? If it isn't what it was looking for, where do you end up finding it? Was there ever a 'thing' that it wanted to look for, or did this whole quest end up as a giant derailing in the Nutbar's quest to get a popsicle?

You eventually end up back home, where the previously paused time resumes once more.

What happens after you received the key from the previous prompt is entirely up to you. The above paragraph is just a bunch of suggestions, but feel free to toss your own in there to finish this...stupid little adventure!

Through the gates of Barbie
“ThedoorthedooritopensthedoorIthinkormaybeaboxnononoit’sacagesortof.” The nutbar’s ramblings was just to confusing for her to grasp, the best she got was that the key was meant to open something, but why did they need a key for that? The floating smoke puff used it’s slobbery tongue to grab the key out of Bug’s hands Ew, did he have to use his mouth for everything.
Bug huffed, the gosling honked and the mouse squeaked them to live his home. Bug peeked outside the mouse hole to check for the feline preditor, which seemed to have wandered away. Good Bug thought to herself, and marched out of the hole with the baby goose and nutbar following after. The little girl was thinking it would be wise to sneak around under the furniture until the smoke thing made some motion towards something that where the key was to go. Every time the three of them reached and end of a room, Bug scouted around the corner first before letting the other two follow her.
Soon enough the trio reached the entrance of a elaborately painted very pink bedroom. Bug peeked around the corner it looked safe, but before Bug could get a good look, the nutbar flew past Bug screaming “it’sthat, that’swhatwehavetoopenyayfounditfoundit!” Bug tried to shush him before he could arouse anyone’s interest, but it was too late. The gosling and Bug paid much attention to the growling moan that came from the beastly mouth of an irritated cat. The nutbar had woken up the feline that was napping on the bed, and instead of fleeing (like a normal small creature) it casually floated to the door of a Barbie dream house. The Cat rolled off the bed, it still seemed to be too groggy to do much just yet. It also looked different than before, a lot fatter. Bug nodded to the gosling, the two of them seemed to have had a telepathic link where they both agreed they’d run to the Barbie door and escape with the nutbar.
The two of the bolted to the dream house, the cat’s tail flicked as they ran past, but instead to leaping after them the cat simply stretched.
Bug pushed into the smoke creature “Don’t you have the key to open the door use it, now!
The poor creature widened his lonely eye and cocked his head, he forgot where he put it. The nutbar pointed at the gosling hoping it still had it. The cat was finished it’s daily aerobics and was making it’s way to investigate the intruders. Bug was loosing patience, she didn’t need a key. The little girl shouldered the nutbar out of her way and pulled out a pin from her pocket. The cat was right over their heads and the gosling was trembling in fear when Bug said “I GOT IT!” Bug opened the door and was pushed through it by the one eye.

Bug sat up from the bed.
She was home?
But where did the other two go?
That puzzled her all evening.
