And to get to a few of the practices, I'd have to be pulled out of a girlscout camp for a few hours, and I can't miss any practices. My Mom called the girlscouts, and they won't let me out, and they won't refund us on the camp that's FOURHUNDREDDOLLARS. So, I want to say skip the camp so everyday I'm now required to practice at least four hours everyday, clean the whole house in my spare time, give up part of the ten dollars I get every week, but still save up and buy an amp soon. Our house is a pigsty, and I can't afford to give up any money, and the required practice time makes me not want to practice at all, because I used to go practice around that much anyway, just for fun, but when you require it, I really just don't want to anymore. So basically the rest of my summer is cleaning, practice and lessons because I don't have TIME to do anything else. The worst part? I'm not allowed to be angry, or annoyed with this at all, I'm supposed to be happy bubbly shining ball of agreement. And if I'm not? Then I'm forced into camp, out of the parade band, and as soon as I'm out, I'm never getting back in, so great. Just great.

efore i start my advice, I'd liek to say that 400 is a lot for a camp. I had a camp for a week, food catered, and it only cost about 70. For a week. No to emntion we got shirts, cute ltitle camp journals, and we got to amke cool littlebullitan board things and keep them. (I was one of the camp counselers too)
Anyway, your predicament is very difficult. While its a lot of work to get out of camp, the parade band is something you love. I have a similar, although much elss consequensitive(not a word), issue myself. Tomorrow night we have a post-camp party at 7 pm. My bd decided to ahve a band meeting at the exact same time to discuss our show for next year. while both are optional, I have to decide between the last chance to see my new camp friens for an entire year, or my section leader duties and my longing to know next years show. Except for me the only consequences are personal. I am choosing to go to the band meeting, because I feel that it is my duty as section leader to be there and to know what is going on this summer. Besides, i got to say goodbye to my friends while still at camp. although the party would be more fun, the meeting is more important to my personal self.
Now as for you, Its mostly up to you, but i can give you advice to help you choose for yourself.
-Weigh the pros and cons. What would you miss out if you didn't go to the parade band? What woudl you miss igf you didn'tgo to camp? Would you feel a sense of personal accomplsihment if you went to band or if you went to camp? What would make a better summer: working and ahving one day of fun at the parade, or not going to band but having the rest of the summer free? Woudl you feel worse about skipping camp or skipping the parade? Which would weigh more on your consence?
-Think about the rest of the summer. While the parade would be fun, the rest of the summer would stink. However, if you went to camp iisntead, you would always have that "what if" feeling, which could also ruin your summer.
-Think fo how you would feel. Would you feel worse about not going to camp or about skipping the parade?
Thats all i can think of to help you. Like i said, the decision is up to you. I can only help you make that decision. (Side note: I used to be a girlscout. Hated it. Quit in elementary school after a few years. Went to camp with them once. Had more fun at my church camp that costs a lot less. This si not to influence your decisionXD i'm just pointing that out.)
