GRASS! Lots of beautiful green grass!
Chayse ran through a field with lots of clover and dandelions, and butterflies fluttering about. She was so happy that the snow was gone, and the warm spring sunshine was back.
She had wanted to just get away from the teepee today, and play. Now to find somewhere to play, and maybe even someone to play with.
She had made her way to an open field nearby where she had met other Soquili before, and hadn't noticed any there today, so she decided to stretch her legs and run.
The wind whipped through her mane, blowing it back from her face. She laughed as she ran, and jumped and bucked her legs out, wild and carefree.
Preston followed along behind her, running, but not quite understanding why she was so happy to be running....

Akuri stood, head bend down as she drank from the stream that acted as a border between the field and the woods. Her small tail flicked as a breeze blow lover her. It was a beautiful bring day. It wasn't to warm or too cool. With the sun out and yet the light breeze it was just right.
Her large ears twitched and she caught the should of hooves in the distance and she raised her head. Looking over the cool clear stream into the field on the far side she stopped the source of the sound. After all it was hard not too. The figured was smaller, perhaps a mare? She appeared to be having a good time as she ran past in the distance. Akuri was sure she heard laughter and smiled lightly glad to see someone else was enjoying spring as well.

Remembering her small friend might not be able to keep up with her, Chayse slowed down a little, but pranced in place in little circles. She relished the warmth the day had brought.
She looked around at her little friend, Preston. "Aren't you just so happy that the snow's gone? I hate that cold wet stuff. It gets in my hooves and just chills me to the bone." she said to the little mountain lion, who had caught up to her, and flopped down, panting heavily.
"Yeah... *pants* sure. I enjoy the sunshine, but *pants* slow down a bit will ya?" he replied to the overjoyous Soquili.
Chayse calmed down a bit, and finally stood still. She took a deep breath of the air, smelling the flowers and grass. She bent her head to take a mouthful of the delicious green stuff, but paused when she noticed that they weren't alone on the meadow. Across the field, near the stream that bordered the forest, there stood another Soquili.
Chayse was never shy when meeting someone new, and immediately started over to the newcomer. "C'mon Press, let's go say hello."
Preston sighed, and slowly got to his feet. He stretched and started after the pink Soquili. "You never meet a stranger do you?" he mumbled at her.
Chayse, having excellent hearing, happily chirped back to him. "Nope." She giggled, and sped up to a trot to get over there faster.

Akari had turned her attention back to the stream she had been drinking from when the other mare has stopped her run to take a rest. However when she heard the hoof falls start up again, the sound getting closer she raised her head once more to see that the other had spotted her and was coming her way.
Her golden eyes watched the brightly colored Soquili and she stepped a few feet forward into the stream and towards the meadow to meet the other. Stopping as the water reached her chest and belly. "Hello." She called out as the other got close enough. " Nice day for an outing."

Chayse slowed as she reached the water's edge. The other mare called to her, and she replied beaming, "Yes, a WONDERFUL day. It's so warm. I've been waiting for what seems like forever for the sun to warm the earth again."
She laughed and took a few extra steps, splashing her way into the water, and over to the stranger. The water came up a little above her belly. "My name's Chayse. I don't think I've ever seen you before. Welcome to my meadow." she said, smiling at her. It wasn't technically her meadow, but she came here often, and had come to call it hers.
