((Hope this is an ok start?))

"Keanu slow down! You might fall!" Called a girls voice, which was soon followed by a sigh as she saw her calling wasn't doing any good. The small boy was still darting along on the dew moistened grass under the trees. Well, he did have a lot of energy, so at least he might be a bit calmer tonight. She'd had enough trouble trying to get him into the deep blue shorts, and the grayish top that morning. Ah, but she knew the pains of trying to fit into pants with a tail. Just not those of trying to fit is slightly complaining child into them. "Really now, wait for me Keanu!" She finally called, before running up a bit after the boy who was taking the time to run around a tree.

Ah he really had paid no heed to the calls of his mother. Well she liked him to call her that, and it made sense. She seemed to have ears, and a tail too. Similar in a way, but she was a stripey mommy. So why was he spotty? She hadn't really explained that yet, but she said she was his mommy so that had to be it. Still, he didn't get to come out to play out here often, mother said something about bugs, and animals in the trees. But he liked animals, so he still hadn't figured out why she was so worried about it. Now she was babbling about falling down. But he hadn't fallen yet, so what was the problem? And even if he did, rolling around on the grass would have been fun, it was already tickling his toes! So he assumed that it would feel just as good when he rolled in it.

As he reached some of the first trees he quickly placed a hand on the trunk flat pamled, and darted around the circumfrance of it, managing not to trip on any of the roots which jutted up out of the ground. As he swung around facing back to where he'd just come from he spotted the bobbing head of his mother, blond hair waving back, and forth as she tried to catch up with the basket she had. That was right, they where out here to play, and have lunch too. That's why it was before noon, and the grass was still wet, and squishy. "'m not gonna fall!" He called happily, a big grin on his face, and just as if by magic he stumbled on a root, but he did manage to catch himself, using the tree for support of course. Still, the smile only faultered for a moment, as did his movement, as he quickly took to hopping along over the other trees roots while waiting for that oh, so slow adult. "Come on mom, stop bein' so slow~!" He pleaded, pausing to glance over his shoulder to see if she was catching up at all. At this rate it seemed like he'd never get to explore much further. And he wasn't so afraid of the forest, it didn't seem at all dark like Raja had said it might be. Rather, he could spot a few rays of light peeking between the branches, and if anything he wanted to go stand under them, and see if maybe he could spot a faerie. Because this was the kind of place they existed in, right?

And so, ignoring the command he'd been given, he kept on racing ahead, eager to have an adventure in the forest. What good was coming out to play if he didn't have any time to play? A grin crossed his face as he wandered under the first of the beams of light through the trees, peering up into it. Mmm, it felt warmer than when he was under all the sun, this place had to be magic. There'd be something really neat here, there had to be. He just needed to find it! "Mommy, I'm gonna go a bit ahead, I won't go far!" He called, glancing over his shoulder at the figure that was running to catch up. Though she was slowed down by the stuff she'd insisted they'd need. Still, even as he heard her calling back he scurried off, tripping once, and falling forward, but catching himself with his hands, and back up again in no time, into the woods. Out of mommies sight, much to her dismay. He had a lot of exploring to do, she could catch up later.

((Really.. Keanu isn't crazy >>))

It didn't take long for the boy to really have ditched the now likely fretting, panicing, and all forms of freaking out woman. But that's not what we're on to much more interesting things. And indeed they where, for Keanu was on a faerie hunt. He'd gotten it into his head that they existed, and this was deffinitely the place to find them. The boys tail flicked back back forth playfully as he stopped, standing on tiptoe to look between a set fo forked branches of the tree. Maybe it was like a treasure hunt, and he had to follow the clues. The only problem was he forgot the map. Hmm... Well he'd make his own! He pulled himself up, feet scraping at the tree as he managed to pull himself up into the dip between the branches. He'd have a better view of where this clue would lead him if he got up a bit higher. Black tipped ears perked at the sound of a bird, somewhere off in the distance. For a moment his eyes searched for the source, assuming perhaps it too was a hint to find the little winged creatures.

Alas, no sign of the feathered beasts he chased around sometimes. Giving up on spotting that little clue, he turned his attention back to the view before him. Hmm, from there he could spot... What looked like a line of lights. That had to be it, if he followed the sunlight patches trail he'd find the faeries. He quickly hopped out of the tree, taking a moment to regain his balance as he hit the ground, before running along toward the nearest sprinkle of sparkling lights. The path he took was more winding, and random than anything else, but to him it seemed as logical as anything, even if he did go in circles a few times. Though he didn't really notice, and soon found himself much further in, as far as he knew. Ah but where was his next clue? He'd been following the light beams forever it seemed, and now he was expecting something else out of the ordinary. And soon it came... But in a slightly odd form. A butterfly darting by in front of his nose. He couldn't determine if it was really a sign, or not, but quickly tried to catch it between it hands. Though as always the crafty creature seemed to float playfully away, out of reach of the dangerous clumsy creatures hands.

But this wasn't about to stop the blue eyed boy, as the creature fled he bounded right after it, standing on tiptoe as it flew higher before bobbing down again, and further off among the trees. Brilliant yellow wings seemed only to tease the boy further as he jumped up, trying to call back the lovely creature. Still it eluded him, flying along between the trees, away from the hunter. Though shortly after the flash of sun colored wings came a pattern of black, and white. The chase continued for several minutes, time that seemed only a few seconds to the easily distracted boy, but as the grass seemed to shift beneath his paws once more, causing him to lose his balance, and fall, the brightly colored insect siezed it's chance and escaped into the high branches above, out of the boy's sight. A slight whine escaped him as his ticket to the faeries vanished from view, but that didn't do him any good in returning the creature to where it had been.

Pushing himself up, the boy let out a bit of a growl as he stomped the ground with one foot. "Ya shoun'a been wet~! See what ya gone an done?" He muttered, seeming to blame the ground as if it had done that just to cause him trouble. Though the frown quickly fled from his face as his he pciked up a new kind of noise, like something else moving around. Had he found them then? That had to be the faeries! He paused in his thoughts to listen closer, ears pricked, and attentive to pinpoint the noise. He just needed to follow them, like he did the birds. He started to walk along quietly, following the noise as silently as he could. He didn't want to scare them, he just wanted to see them. It didn't take long for the quiet noise to seem close, close enough to be just around the next tree. A excited grin drew along the boys face as he prepared to leap around, sure that there would be dozens of the tiny little things everywhere. That book his mother had read him had a whole kingdom of them.

It only took a moment for the boy to feel he was ready to see them. And as that moment ended he quickly hopped out from behind the tree, calling in a sing song tone, which died off half way as he saw what he'd really found. "I found the faeries~!" And as that ended, he found himself starring at another kid... Spotted like him, but not white. No she was more gold... Like his mother. But this was a girl kid, not another guy, and certainly not a fairie. "...You are not a faerie..." And this could only mean one thing, she'd scared them away already, and he'd never find them now. "Gah' knew I should'na let th' magicy butterfly fly up!" He called, quickly glancing around as if hoping to find it again. "Where'd th'thingo" He mumbled to himself quickly, the worlds slurring together rather fast. Until a new idea popped into his head. Maybe she remembered which way the faeries had gone when she scared them off. So quickly as the blue orbs had fled to the trees, they darted back to watch the girl intently as he continued his babble which might have seen just a bit ludicrous to anyone else. "Did'ya see which way they gone?"

((XD!! You think that, wait til you read this. Sah has issues, but then again, its all just another game to her.))

The path seemed so narrow, so dark, and so lonely. Walking slowly down this warn walkway, Sahra kept herself well aware of her surroundings. Alert, bright green cat shaped eyes darting here and there, looking for signs of life, and signs of adventure. It was rather quiet in the area, as calm as you would expect a forest to be at this time of morning. Peaceful, with calls of birds and the chatter of squirrels ringing softly through the air like a soft tune she had once heard her mother listening to while she was reading. But as she looked around, nothing seemed to call out to her, everything seemed in place. Nothing interesting really showed itself in the light of day, at least not to her. But she desperately wanted to find something to do, and that's when her overactive imagination took over. Feet dragging in the soil, she dug her toes into the soil as she walked, her attention finally shifting to and entirely newer subject.

The tree tops; they seemed ever so tall, looming over her, and making her feel as if she were being contained by some unknown force. Sahra hissed slightly, eyes glued on one specific tree only a short distance away. It was a tree of great height, "Wha ya hafta bay so tall?" She stopped, staring up at the branches of her enemy; light brown colored bark that was warm to the touch, and leaves that rustled softly in the wind. "Do nots talk back to meh!" She screamed at the tree while her fists flailed about in the air, motioning and moving along with the angry words that escaped her clinched teeth. It seemed ever since she could remember, she had been much smaller than all the other kids she had ever seen. It made her feel at a disadvantage; sort of uncomfortable. But with her way of thinking, it would probably be years before she actually realized that.

"Pfft." The girl huffed, giving the tree a long and potentially evil glare. "Ya-ou ca-nawt tell meh what ta do!" She snipped, "I will nev-wer list-en to teh enormy!!!" Sahra quickly dodged behind a bush, trying her hardest to hide herself efficiently. She knew it! They were all out to get her! All the tall, light coloured trees in the forest! They hated her, she must seem like nothing more than a bug to them! She needed to to be more careful, or they might just call out their weird alien friends from planet nowhere, supposedly called "humans," to capture her! She just couldn't have that, because she liked being free! But how could she defeat them? Maybe she'd have to deceive them...and make them think that she was just another animal in the forest. Yes, that was it!

Rolling out from behind that faithful bush, she jumped to her feet, and 'locked gaze' with the tree. "Oh-kee yaw alien lubber, I need ta say thawt I am just nother ani-mul! So leaf meh alone!" Picking up a stick that happened to be at her feet, Sahra growled with all her might, and whipped the branch at the tree. "TAY-KU THAWT. Wha you have ta say for you-self, twee?" She waited for a reply, foot pounding against the ground as her tail twitched angrily, and her ears fell back against her head. But what she didn't understand is why it didn't answer!? Oh wait...she remembered Yin telling her something about one time when she got in a fight with some cat named Ceres. He had been rendered speechless, and just walked away, signaling that she had won the argument. So maybe, he was surrendering!? It couldn't be anything else! It had finally given in! "Haha, goowd twee."

Sahra couldn't help but feeling proud of her accomplishments, now maybe the evil human Yane wouldn't be such a threat! It felt so good to have the stronger, upper hand. But all of this commotion had made the young cheetah stray off of her pathway, into some sort of small clearing. The wind whipped down into the short grasses like a mad whirl wind, almost sending her toppling over onto her backside. And something else that was odd, for some reason, she felt like she was being watched...but by who? And that was when she saw it, or, he? A palely coloured and oddly patterned child similar to herself, but she couldn't quite make out what he was supposed ot be. "Mrrew?" The sound of confused had accidentally escaped her mouth as she started at him, blinking, wondering what it was he was talking about. Faeries?...Thar ish faeries in teh forest, too? How horrib-bleh! First the twee, then thar aliens, and now this. Wha next? She sighed, closing her eyes tightly, she quickly became lost in thought, or better described, she became lost while plotting actions against this evil crisis.

((Ok, full out toddler speak now. Please excuse that I didn't have that before. ^^;;

Hee hee it's more cute. Keanu's just easily convinced of things. He's so guillable. One book with faeries and he thinks they're everywhere. He needs to... Stop talking to himself...))

A moment passed, and the girl was closing here eyes. Gud gud, she tinkin' were tey gone. But then she didn't open her eyes, and reply. And another moment passed, and then another. By this time the boys tail was lashing out behind him rather annoyed. He wanted to find the faeries, and he wanted to find them now. And so instead of being a nice polite boy, and waiting for a reply, he pointed one finger at the girl, while starting again, this time his tone even a bit accusing. "Yur jus bein sefish. Dun wanna share th'fae'ies!" The boys ears had fallen back with annoyance, as he glanced around again. Beginning to babble once more. "I lukin fo' em so I shuld get tuh see em tuh!" He called, before glancing back at the girl. Why wasn't she sharing them anyway? There'd be lost of faeries right? So there would be enough for everyone. Right? Faeries where just shy, so you had to look for them hard. So she was just being selfish by not sharing the faeries.

"S'war th' fae'ies gone? I'ma guh fin'em." He called starting off toward one of the trees, and peering up into the branches. Nut up thar... And off towards another, obviously back into a bit better mood. He just wanted faeries, and he was distracted fairly easily. "Fae'ies up heir?" He called, placing both hands on the tree trunk, and standing on tip toe to try, and see better. Little did he know he was straying closer to the three that moments before the girl had been... Fighting with? And as as he gave up on the second tree, he darted for the third, eyeing the tree a moment as he mumbled, not realizing his thoughts where quite similar to all small people's thoughts. "Yur haih up, yu got fae'ies in ya?" He asked, ears flicking as if to listen for mevement. Well there was only one way to find out. Looking around the tree quickly, he spotted a branch low enough for him to jump up, and catch, and with that bit of information he was off.

Walking under it, he hopped once, trying to grab the branch, and managing to, almost, but then slipped off, falling backwards onto his behind. "Mistah treh naht gonna beit meh!" He mumbled, pushing himself back up, and once more eyeing the branch. Then he took a step back, another, then ran forward, lept, and... Yes! Success! He had his arms around the branch, and flailed there for a moment trying to pullhimself up before managing to gain enough of a grip to pull himself the rest of the way onto the branch. As he managed to scamble up enough to sit on top of it, he gave a triumphant grin, letting out a bit of a laugh. "Seh? Tol'ya treh, yu nah beit meh!" And with that he started to push himself up again, balancing, if you could call it that, on the branch. He wavered a bit, his arms fanning the air to try, and keep balance, his face twisted with concentration as he inched toward where he could best get at the next branch. Concentrate, careful... Now... He flicked his tail once, once more getting ready to jump, and... Thup, he hit the branch, arms once again clinging to it. Now he was high enough up he'd have at least a nice bruise if he fell. Oh how Raja would have panicked had she seen this.

Theshow of the boys legs kicking wildly in the air trying to help himself up once again began, until he managed to pull off the feet once again, flopping on the branch, more or less safe. "Huuuu... Mistah trei yu hahd ta guh up in..." He mumbled, pushing himself up to sitting again, and looking up into the branches, and then back down to the ground. "Huu... Baht naht tuh mech fathah..." He added, continuing to sit in his spot. He didn't exactly feel like moving just yet, and he hadn't found a new branch to go to. "Sah mistah trei yu gaht fai'ies raiht? I'ma sei em I ahm." He called while starring up into the branches. Rightfully, he couldn't really tell how far up it was, but he didn't want to give up, he had to see the faeries... He had to. Besides, he wouldn't let that girl win, no no. She couldn't keep them.

And as he thought of that, he glanced back down, eyeing the ground which seemed so far away now for the girl. "Sei, shuld'a jus tol'meh tey guh up!" He called down at her, obviously no long truly cross with the girl. Holding grudges wasn't something he had a habit of.

((Would have typed more, but I am having trouble coming up with things to type at the moment. O-o; ))

It had seemed that many moments had passed, but Sahra still remained deep in thought, plotting against all those evil she had recently been put up against. The light coloured tree, the aliens, and now faeries. What would she do? She really couldn't figure it out...but she knew, she just knew the time would come again for another battle. She must be prepared. She envisioned a monstrous tree, branches like arms, flailing about trying to grab her, an alien perching close, and faeries of various types floating around, evilly grinning with sharp teeth showing along with glowing eyes. But then something snapped her out of her small day dream, it was the talking of the boy she had come face to face with just...moments before?

Eyes snapping open, she turned around to look in the direction she had heard talking. "Wah?..." She stared, eyes widening, she watched almost amazed as the boy climbed up the vary tree that had attacked her. "Wayt..." Sah spoke under her breath, "Thawts..." But how? And most importantly WHY? Why would he climb such a dangerous creature!? It would surely swallow him alive! But what could she do? primarily nothing, she wasn't sure she could climb that high, but she would at least attempt getting him to come down. "GWET DOWN FRUN THAR! TWEE WILL ATE YA!!!" Sahra quickly scrambled over to the base of the tree, approaching it cautiously, she stared up once again at the boy. "DUNNO WARE FAERIES AER..." She screamed, "Do nawt eben know wha thi are...but thei sound EBULLL!" Her voice grew quieter, eyes looking around for a solution.

But she had no idea what to do, she could just imagine the tree now plotting to take her down, especially after how she had treated it earlier. "Twee...ya meat match..." She hissed, eyes never leaving the tree, she slowly backed away from her enemy, almost the same as she had before.

((Yay, our children are nutty little toddlers. <3 Bit short too.))

Blah blah, what was she babbling about? Dangerous, it wasn't dangerous. And eat him? It wasn't a animal. Was it. "Mistah trei canna ate meh. Hais nah ahbul tah." He replied. The boy might be guillable enough to believe there where faeries, but trees... Where trees. They didn't eat you... Did they... "Can hai?" He mumbled, poking at the branch he was sitting it. "Hai saims kina... Stak weh hai es tah mei..." And as if to further the girls statement, the wind decided to shift the branches just then, causing it to sound to the boy like the tree WAS in fact moving. This actually caught him off balance, and almost caused him to slip off the branch, thankfully for his sake, he wrapped his arms around the branch, and only slid a bit before righting himself again wide eyed. "Et... et es mowvin!" He yelled, ears shooting straight up in a bit of fright, and surprise. "Ets th' fae'ies! Th' fae'ies es mekin et ahlaivah!" He called back, now seeming quite to believe the same thing the girl had. "Waih tey mehk et ah ebel trei thao? Mistah treis relei nahsu...

He frowned, glancing up. "Fae'ies nawt gonna haht ya! Jus' wanna sei ya! Mehk mistah trei nahsu!" And yet another slight breeze to make him bow his head, ears flat, as if to avoid some unforseen attack. "Fae'ies stahpet yu nahsu taing tuh!" He pulled himself along the branch a bit, back toward where the other branch was to start to flee down, as if he seemed to think the tree was indeed going to eat him if he dared go any farther. Before pausing to look down at the girl. "Fae'ies ah nahsu! Mahgecei fae'ies ah nahsu. Jus... Raht nawh skahd... An' suh mein... Tey nahsu rehlei..." He replied, glancing over his shoulder at the tree warily, before glancing down at the branch he'd come up on earlier. His voice now directed back at the tree. "Nahw yu hehr meh! Nuh muhvehn ya hehr?" He called in a threatening tone as he prepared to try, and drop back onto the branch below. After taking a moment to try, and position himself even a smidgeon better, he dropped down, managing to land unharmed onto the branch, before glancing back up at the tree grinning. Then once more to the girl. "Sei? Fae'ies rehlei nahsu! Tey jas skahd uses gonna haht em."

With that he shifted to drop out of the tree, allowing himself to dangle from the branch, before letting go, and falling to the ground, and once more managing to lose his balance as he landed, and falling on his bum. Well at least he had a soft tail to make the landing a teensy bit softer. Though he didn't really seem bothered by it anyway, as he glanced back up at the tree. "Dun wahrei fae'eis naht gonna bahta yu anehmoh! Suh Mistah Trei cahn beh nahsu ahgen." And with that he grinned at the girl. Obviously sure that now the tree wouldn't be an evil kid eating tree anymore. "Fae'eis up der, jus naht wanna beh sei bah us. Buh nah lev lohn trei beh nahsu anna fae'eis nahsu tuh. Es gud yeh?"

((Sorry about taking so long, it's been a long week, had a hard time keeping up. And it doesn't help that mid-terms are next week, either. x_X

Kind of weird, too, wrote it while I was half asleep. P: ))

Sahra wasn't sure of everything that was going on, it had all happened so fast! She wasn't sure what to do now. But she had to do something. As the boy above her had rambled on about something, seemingly to the tree, she tried to form some sort of plan. But nothing came to mind, maybe this time she would just have to give up! No, she couldn't do that, but the thought just seemed so nice and so comforting.

"Iono what far-wees are su'osed ta beh, but I know Mr. Twee is an ebul thang." Sahra had finally started to pay attention again, only catching the last few parts of what he had said aloud. She wasn't even sure if he had meant to be speaking to her, but it didn't really bother her, she said what she wanted to when she needed to. But right now she needed to deal with the risky situation she had unknowingly put herself into. "Wahh!" She screeched, envisioning the tree's branches moving as the wind whipped them around some more. She could just see the beast like appearance of the towering subject before her.

Her ears shifted backward, as did her entire body. Stepping back out of fear, she wanted nothing to do with this thing, or the other things that this mysterious boy had been mentioning since she ran into him more than moments ago. But the sudden actions of the boy caught her attention. Almost stunned for a moment, she stared at him, blinking, as she watched him drop to the ground onto his back end. "Mehw?..." For a short second she had prepared herself to attack, thinking that maybe the evils would strike now that his defense was down, but, luckily, nothing happened. Hm. Maybe he was right, and that's all that was going on. "I...guess?" Plopping down onto the ground for a moment, she glanced up at the tree, struggling to hold back the urge to growl; she closed her eyes, letting out a short sigh.

((I'm so slow with this reply. Gomen, ne.))

"Trei anna fei'eis es nahsu, jus vehre..." He paused, seeming to be looking for the word. "lohnah." He nodded, before looking up. "Sei trei es behg anna stahng sus kehps fei'eis sef." He added, rocking back, and forth. Certainly he desired to climb up there, and find the faeries... But what was it his mother said? Respect things. Yes, he'd give them their desire of solitude today. Perhaps with some talk he could bring the women to return here with him, and he could try again. Then again... He glanced down at the soil below, musing quietly for a bit, his ears dropping as he did. He had sort of left her behind, she'd likely be upset when she did find him, she usually was when he did things like this. Ah well, he'd find a way to come back, he had to see them, because now he knew they where real. No matter how many tries he'd keep coming back here to try, and see them. He'd prove he meant no harm, that was it. If he made friends with the faeries, then he could come visit them anytime, and it would be good, definitely good.

Ears perked as the other spoke up, after a quiet thud. He glanced up, blinking at the girl. She guessed? Oh right, right! The tree. "Yeh, tei nahsu. Sus nuh wahrreh." He replied, grinning as if he was an expert on trees, and faeries. Really all he knew was what he'd seen in that book, which didn't say anything about trees. Or trying to become friends with them. It had just been a faerie tale, about faeries, and nothing else. But of course, Keanu had interpretted the words as he pleased, and turned it into something that meant the world was full of faeries, and he had to go find them. But she didn't know that, and Keanu didn't know how limited his knowledge really was. Thus, he assumed he knew all there was to know about faeries because books never lied, and they taught you everything your parents wouldn't. So what he knew had to be true, and what he knew had to be everything his mother couldn't teach him. Which was all the knowledge there could be about faeries. "Ah, yus dunno wah a fae'ei es raht? Wehl lehmeh esplein." He started, nodding a bit, and not waiting for a reply before speaking. "Fae'eis ahr lehtal wengd pehpahl, anna tei cahn flai, anna tei supahkel." He called, before pausing to think a moment, his tail waving to, and fro behind him.

"Eeehmm... Anna tei cahn mehk mahgehc laik mehkn trei ebahl behfoh, bah es ohnleh foh eh beht. Sos okeh. Tei cahn duh nahsu mahgec tuh! Laik... Laik... Reinbahs anna steff!: He called, pointing at the sky as he mentioned the rainbow, as if there would be one visable through the trees just like magic. Of course one could barely see the trees through the thick cover, much less spot a rainbow, as well it hadn't been raining. But Keanu didn't know about that detail, now did he. So as far as he knew, that rainbow might streak across the sky just as he pointed up to prove his point. Lowering his hand, he placed both before him, leaning forward a bit grinning. "Sus neht yeh? Dun yah wanna sei teh fae'eis tuh?" He asked, looking about like he was ready to try climbing that tree again, though he knew better for that day, tomarrow was certainly a more suitable time. The faeries wouldn't be upset then.

((I'm not much better XDD))

Sahra couldn't help but fidget, tail thrashing and ears constantly twitching, her attention was splotched here and there, but never seeming to concentrate on one thing. She shifted to a different sitting position, eyeing her surroundings every now and then, she struggled to keep her attention focused, that is until the boy started speaking of what these "faeries" were. It caught her attention almost immediately, and it didn't take her long to hold still long enough to listen.

She started at him wide eyed and he spoke, nodding every now and then to acknowledge the fact that she was indeed listening to him. And she surely did hear every word, and whispering to herself, she pondered slightly about something he had brought up. "Oh, twee..." She didn't think she would worry much about the tree anymore, or at least not that particular tree, he didn't seem so bad after she took a real good look at him. With the twist and tilt of the head that was, it took some creative perspective to paste together an actual non-threatening appearing tree. It sort of reminded her a little of her friend Yin, uptight and obsessive over something. Maybe it was hiding the faeries, after all? Yin had always been a pack rat, and she had always kept things hidden. Like the time she hid her favorite lion plushie on her, it took her weeks to find it!

Her tail curled around her body, the tip still twitching and whipping off and on contently. "Wawh..." She swore she had never heard about these before, but why hadn't she? Her mother talked about so many other things, and so did Yin from her books, but she had never heard anything about "faeries!" She sort of wished she had, so she would have known sooner! "I nev-wer thought rainbahs wer from thawt..." Sahra was intrigued, she loved learning knew things, especially when they contributed to her wild imagination. "Oh, AH yessu." She muttered, finally out loud instead of in a quiet, hushed tone. "I think I do wanna see 'um."

A smile darted along the boys face as the girl agreed. See, he knew what he was talking about. "Yeh, fae'eis canna mehk th' reinbahs! Cahs naht jus fae'eis mehk reinbahs bah tei cahn." He replied, nodding many times. "Tei jus nuh enna nahsu muhd nahw." He glanced upa t the tree again, pouting. If only he was a bit taller, then he'd have been able to climb it even with the tree being angry, but sadly he was small. Though Raja kept saying he was getting so big. That seemed to be nonsense, he couldn't tell. And if anyone would see, it would be him, right?

Finally shaking his head, the slightly too long bangs falling in his face. "Eh wassah yas enna weshen... Imma jus finna nahda fae'eis anna sei em!" He replied, pushing himself to his feet. Sitting around wasn't something easy for someone with hid kind of energy anyway. He started off, walking past the tree, and patting it's side as he did. "Imma guh sei yus frennas anna meh sei em suhs nah gonna bahda ya nuh moh." He called at the tree, as if once more speaking to the imaginary spirits up there. No, not imaginary, they where up there, just like there was another group somewhere else in these woods to find. He just needed to look. Wait, maybe they? Didn't the girl want to see them..? He paused, squinting his eyes in thought. Two people was better than one, as long as she promised not to scare them. Yes, yes that worked.

Turning on his heel to face the girl again, his tail lashing once at the air as he crossed his arms, trying to give her a stubborn look, of course that form a kid likely wouldn't work so well. "Imma guh finna fae'eis, yuh wanna come? Es okei effen yuh sei nah gunna skehr fae'eis." He called, pausing, and thinking for a moment. "Enna imma Keanu. Mum seis essa guhd ta entahdusah mehsef." He added, turning once again. If she came, if she didn't, he didn't much mind. He was just interested in those faeries, and not getting drug home before they found him. That was right... Raja was out there still, hunting for him most likely... She just didn't understand how important it was to be out hunting these faeries. Yes, very, very important. "Anna nuh cahl em ebals, tei dun laik dat I teink." He called back, ducking under a low branch as he wandered along. "Gahta finna mahgehk flaiflai agehn..." Yes, that would lead him to another group, now where to find a butterfly...

He wandered along happily, eyes toward the branches blanketing the sky from sight. He needed to find that butterfly to show the way, it showed him to the first tree of faeries. Sadly they where upset with him, and the girl. Well scared was more like it, but the point was he hadn't been able to see them. Thus he needed to find a new group that did like him, and perhaps the girl, because she was coming along. She was odd, standing funny when he'd suddenly turned to tell her about not scaring them. He didn't really get it, nor did he care much. She hadn't done anything bad really, just odd. aybe he could ask hy she did that later. He nodded, to himself, perking his ears as the other began to speak. He'd missed something just perked at the sound of his name. And was actually attentive in time to catch the girls own title. "Sahra?" He mumbled, testing it. It was simple enough he hadn't botched it, rather amazing really. Considering he couldn't say half of his housemates names right. He didn't notice that, but everyone else did. "Ahkeh, Sahra, lehs finna fae'eis!" He explained, taking a few running steps.

He paused as the girl spoke again, this time asking about the flyflys. "A flaiflai!" He exclaimed, holding both arms out, and mimicing wings. "Tei ahr cahluhfah anna smahl anna tei fas wehn yuh wanna fuluh em!" He exclaimed, hopping in the air once, not realizing he might have looked rather odd like that. What was most interesting was he had about as serious a face as an excited boy could while he did his little show to explain what a butterfly was. "Tei ahr enna fohes leik herh anna tei led meh tuh th' fus fae'eis trei!" He added, spinning around again to return to searching for a butterfly. "Suh finna flaiflai enne wei finna fae'eis bei fulluh flaiflai!" He called, nodding. "'Cus tei ahr mahgec flaiflai, mehd bah th' fae'eis!" He called with such confidence, even an adult who knew better might have believed him. "Suh les finna flaiflai!"

He ducked around a tree, eyes upon the sky again, or what made the sky in the dense tree coverage, trying to find a flash of yellow, orange, white, anything that might have been the elusive butterfly. Though he eyes found none, and he was wandering a bit aimlessly. He could have back tracked, and not noticed. He quickly became so focused that the girl could have wondered off, and he likely wouldn't have taken note of it until he found one. When the boy focused, he simply did just that. Somewhat of a one track mind. Which was likely what had his mother in such a fret all of the time, he didn't see the danger in things. The consequences of what might happen if he became lost, what things that lived in the forest, and how they could be... Not so nice. He simply saw what he wanted, and his goals.

So when he did pause, after spending time trying to catch sight of the insect, and glanced around, trying to figure out where he was, he didn't recognize anything, and made a small humming noise biting his lip slightly. Where could they be... He couldn't find faeries without the butterflies to guide him.

Nodding to acknowledge the successful introduction, she followed after him speedily, having no real difficulties keeping up. She hoped from one log to another, leaping a short distance and sliding along the soil of the forest floor. She found it rather amusing for no reason at all, more or so just some of her under developed cat antics in the making. "Okee." She replied simply, tilting her head, and stopping a moment to contemplate everything the boy had said to her. So he was talking about one of those pretty things, the things she remembered calling butterfoos, for some reason she couldn't remember.

But what did they have to do with faeries? She wondered, quickly pressing onward so as to not get left behind. Sahra gazed around, up in the trees, and around the ground, but saw nothing that even reminded her of what she pictured as being a butterfly. Well, they where bright, so shouldn't they be fairly easy to find? Maybe if they found some flowers or stuff like that they could find one? She thought she remembered seeing something like a butterfly around a meadow once, so maybe she could keep an eye out for that, too.

She circled around a tree trunk, looking from the ground to the branches, and back again, a rather odd looking occurrence, but she didn't seem to notice. Sah couldn't help but feel like she was on the prowl, on the hunt, although she would never really hurt anything, since she didn't have the heart to do such a thing. She often found herself with the urge to chase moving objects; which may, for once, actually come in handy, for out of the corner of her eye Sahra spotted movement. In a bush off to her side, or beyond it anyways, something rather bright was moving about, hovering? Or maybe flying, she'd just have to investigate!

Darting away from her companion, she plowed through the shrubbery and quickly found herself on the edge of a small water source? Or was it a flooded clearing? Or maybe just a place where the trees where thinned, but then she saw it, it was a bright fluttering...thing! "Hey, ya, is that what you're looking for?" She shouted out over the short distance, pointing at the creature while cringing slightly from the sight of water.

The boy's ears perked as the other spoke following the direction of her hand as he turned. "Flai flai?" He murmured, looking for the flutter. A branch was blocking his view of the insect. He stepped forward a bit, over to where the cheetah stood, and finally spotted the flickering wings over the water.

Wait water? Keanu's gaze feel down toward the surface of the glint. The sun was reflecting on the things surface, but... He turned up again, watching the thing. "Canna leh et ehskehp..." He mumbled, walking closer to the water. Which was more important. The dislike of water due to the baths his mum insisted he needed, or... The creature dancing above. The boy bit at his lip a moment. Faeries... They where much, much more important. He pressed on, closer to the waters surface, in an attempt to close in on the small bug. "Neih th' fleiflei tuh finna fae'eis..." He repeated, glancing back at the girl, trying to see if she agreed that the water was a needed evil. She seemed hesitant about it, but... He turned his attention back to the creature above, tacking a step forward.

Even before he put it down, he instantly drew it back from the cool, but sun warmed water. Wet... He didn't like wet. He eyed the liquid again, attempting to will it away. Then back up. "Uh..." He watched as the thing was floating along. But away from him. Past the edge of the water. A panic started to break in the little child's mind, but was soothed slightly as the thing paused just across from them. At least they hadn't lost it... But...

He couldn't swim, and there wasn't really a way across.

He once more eyed the moving current of the stream, trying to decide if maybe he could jump over it? No... That wouldn't work... He backed away from the edge, before looking up again. Then around. Searching for something, some way to cross. "Canna leh et geh aweh..." He mumbled more to himself than anything else.

There had to be a way to get across, right?
