So, I know a lot of people criticize bumpers or say it's stupid and boring but I think that there are advantages.
I thought I'd start a list and people could add on
-stress relief
-higher post count
-no CB vs GD drama!
-a bit of extra gold for you pocket x3

You get to find different threads that are interesting. I've found like, 5 threads that I have either bought something from, or just liked a lot.

also when you run across a really nice bump contest in its beginning phases, you can totally win that sucker easily because you have experience and know how much it takes and how to do it.
