Prompt 1:
Simple, Friendly, Direct: The dawn of a new day approaches. You are just getting out of bed...or are you? Take us through your day, just this one, particular day from morning to night. Are you an early riser? Do you sleep in? Go to work? School? What do you eat, if anything? Does something interesting happen? The content is up to you, but we want to see what happens on any given day, from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed.

Status:
Finished!

Prompt Response:
Once upon a time there was a Pretty Pretty Princess – or maybe it was a Pretty Pretty Prince – by the name of THING!. THING! was the prettiest of all the princes and princesses in the land, even prettier than Princess LyLy and Princess FelFel and maybe even prettier than Queen Mommy! THING! was a very happy Princ, always wearing a great big smile upon its face. Princ THING! loved each and every moment of its days and nights! It loved its life SOOOOOOOOO much that it decided to tell the story, so allllllll the world could be happy about THING!'s life just the way THING! Was.

Every morning, THING! would wake up early to race the sun to see who could get up the fastest. THING! always won but the sun was a very good loser and still got up anyway. It always beat THING! to bed, so it was okay to lose in the morning. Princ THING! always got dressed in the same thing – a white button up shirt and a big striped scarf – which were its royal attire. Sometimes Queen Mommy said it was time to go out, so Princ THING! put on white pants and slip-ons. Queen Mommy would even let Princ THING! wear antler decorations, which Princess LyLy and Princess Felfel would put in for it.

For breakfast, Princ THING! would drink a whoooole pot of cold decaf. Princ THING! had tried the regular coffee before, but Queen Mommy said it wasn't allowed to have that anymore after the trouble it caused with Princess YoYo in Princess Tori's room while Princess Tori had one of her 'special friends' over. So now Princ THING! drinks all of its pot of coffee, which Queen Mommy set aside for it last night so Princ THING! could drink it nice and room temperature. If the Princ is lucky, it gets to have some nummy grounds too, because those are good and crunchy and make things taste right.

Princ THING! watches TV next, till Queen Mommy and Princess LyLy wake up. Sometimes there are cartoons on, but Princ THING! likes watching infomercials better. Its favorites are the ones about great new products to clean the house, because grownups make big messes in those. Prnicess LyLy once asked why it likes them – Princ THING! said they had the best stories ever. Lily still hasn't figured out what that means.

After Queen Mommy gets up, she makes breakfast for her, Princess LyLy and Princ THING!. THING! likes to eat hamburger for breakfast, while Queen Mommy and Princess LyLy like eggs and bacon. Then, Queen Mommy goes to get a shower and go to work. Princ THING! will sometimes follow Princess LyLy around the house and help her with stuff while Queen Mommy is gone – other times it just goes back to its shows.

When Princess FelFel calls, they go visit her, and Princ THING! lays down to take a nap. Unless there are fun games, then it will stay up till lunch, when it is time for fries. Princ THING! naps on and off till Queen Mommy comes to pick it and LyLy up. At home, THING! has some cereal, watches movies with Mommy, and it's time to go to bed.

Bedtime means a cold shower and then time to climb into bed. Princ THING! will go to bed at around midnight and not get up till time to race the sun. That is, unless it napped a lot that day, at which point THING! will often get up in the middle of the night to go color or sit outside till it's tired again.

Life is quite happy and fun for Princ THING! with all the other pretty Princes and Princesses around to play with. Sometimes it wants a pet or a new plaything of some kind, but it never tells, the large smile never leaving the face of the demon-plushie.

Prompt 2 - THE WRONG ONE:
Oh, wow! Your day certainly seemed exciting! That's great! But...uhh...you seem to be forgetting something. I'm pretty sure this happened at some point in your day. How could you forget it? Remember, that Nutbar creature that just came up to you out of nowhere and demanded that you help it out? That stupid little creature who told you it didn't know where it needed to go, what it needed to get, but it sure as heck needed you to go there and get it for them? Remember, they opened that weird door out of thin air, pointed to a wild goose that appeared out of nowhere that ended up running through the door? The crazy Nutbar pushed you into the doorway too! The doorway closed once you were both on the other side! You came across a whole new strange world! How could you forget that?!

Oooh, I see, your memory of that incident is coming back! At what point in the day did it happen, again? When the nutbar opened that door to another world, what kind of world did the Nutbar make you run through, to chase after that wild goose? It's okay, memories are strange things. Just take it slow, and tell me when it happened, what you thought of it happening while it was happening, and what kind of world you ended up in. What it an alternate universe? Some crazy planet? Based on a video game (Pokemon? Persona 3 or 4? Dokapon Kingdom? .hack? World of Warcraft? Tetris?!)? Other Game (Candy Land, Clue, 13 Dead End Drive, Solitaire, Mahjong)? Book? What do you think of the world, and this crazy smoke creature that keeps licking it's own eyeball to try and think?

**Remember, this happens like the Blind Date RPs do - You're suddenly somewhere else, and time back home just stops. As for the world - the only limit is your imagination! It can be whatever you want it to be.

I did ze prompt wrong, so this is just a fun version.

Prompt Response:
THING!'s days always had time for adventure. After all, infomercials can wait when there are large gray floaty things begging you to help them find something. And THING! loved looking for somethings, particularly when it didn't have to be constrained to a where and why. So when a nutbarthing showed up after THING! had its coffee and was about to turn on the tv, the toddler was more than willing to stop in its pursuits and listen as the Nutbar prattled on about following thatgoosethattotallywastherethe-wholetimewhatareyoutalkingabout?andwouldyoupleasefollowitthroughthatdoorkthx?

The white haired little one merely grabbed hold of the Nutbar's wispy tail and dragged the creature through the door, running after the newly appeared goose. Infomercials just weren't as awesome a way to spend a morning as apprehending a goose was! And this world was just so amazing? I mean who didn't to chase a goose across a rainbow checkerboard set of MC Escher staircases, as it floated and turned in midair over a swirling black hole? Well, normal people generally didn't, but we aren't talking about them at all. We're talking about THING! and a Nutbarthing it decided to dub Trudy.

Our heroic duo chased the goose across every staircase and through tons of doors – which always seemed to lead out of other doors across the hall – while Benny Hill music played and strange people ran away in terror, as if a small child with antlers and a nutbarthing running after a goose were something to be terrified of. Then again I'm afraid of geese so I'd probably be running to – in fact, maybe I was one of the people running. It wouldn't be surprising.

Eventually, the goose was cornered in a room, THING! leaving Trudy to bar the door. This room looked quite like a regular kitchen, except it was shot like a black and white television show, except for Trudy, THING! and the goose. They, upon entering, had somehow been dressed up in costumes, Trudy now wearing a puffy blonde wig and a doll's housedress, THING! wearing a brown suit and a fake moustache (a black one even, just so it stood out against its skin) and the goose had a pink bow on its neck. Because who doesn't think bows are cute on geese?

THING! dove, heroically tackling the goose and hugging her to its chest. “I gotted it.” the tot informed Trudy with a quiet voice. A new door had appeared by that point, letting them go back out into the regular house. However, the costumes remained for some reason, as did the goose and the nutbar. Because THING! decreed it be so. And we must all hail THING!.

Prompt 2 - THE PROPER ONE:

Prompt Response:
Daylight hadn't fully peaked outside of the Sunday household yet, and THING! was in the middle of drinking her* pot of room temperature decaf coffee when...it happened. A strange creature appeared! A creature with gray...'skin', a big mouth with messy teeth and one huge eye! It burst from the wall in front of the toddler, waggling arms and exclaiming a loud BLAHBLAHBLAHAGalHGASDKLHGS!

THING! didn't even bat an eyelash, just taking another gulp of coffee and crunching on some of the grounds. The creature stared at THING! for a moment, licking its own eyeball to try and think of what it was supposed to say again before spazzing out and running into all the walls. THING! starred at the creature for a time, continuing to crunch grounds, before promptly leaving the room to go sit in front of the TV to watch the daily infomercials. After all, this new creature wasn't talking to her and it wasn't doing anything interesting, therefore she didn't care.

The tot's departure seemed to distress the frazzled nutbar even more and it darted after her, waggling its arms again. “youhavetohelpmepleasepleasepleasepleaseomg”to which the creature received another loooong stare. “youhavetohelpmefindmylosthingitislostandonlyyoucanfinditpleasehelp!”

THING! cocked her head to the side and waited for elaboration from the strange creature. Well, strange wasn't the right word. Many people would find a nutbarthing strange – THING! just wasn't one of them. It was actually kind of cute, but cute also wasn't a word THING! used much – the only way the child would even describe the creature before her was 'uhhuh' without much emphasis or interest. “Uhhuh, what do you want to find?”

“thethingfromtheplacethatilostpleasehelpihavetohaveyourhelppleasepleaseplease” THING! just nodded at the nutbar's new stream of nonsense and wound her scarf tighter around her neck. “Okay.”

“Youllhelpyesyesyes?there!goose!goafter!” after much manic pointing from the creature, a white goose appeared, waddling through a door. Now THIS attracted THING!'s attention – for she quite liked geese and would very much want to pet one kthx.

“After it.” the tot decreed, in her same monotone, grabbing the Nutbar by the tail and running through the door the creature had somehow created. A door into a bizarre world with floating Escher stairs and a black hole behind them.

“Wehavetofindityesyesyes!” the nutbar decreed, looking around nervously and hoping the little kid that'd dragged it there did what she was supposed to do.

“Be shushy, Trudy, I'm trying to see where Pleasance went.” THING! informed the gray creature, which promptly looked at her funny and began licking its eye again. Being the way she was, THING! had up and decided somewhere on the way there – meaning in the split second it took to walk through the door – that she should name the goose and the nutbar, because well why not? She didn't want to have to address it as hey you the whole time and 'goosey'.

Had the nutbarthing been much more intelligent, it'd have been weirded out by how calmly THING! was taking all of this. Weird creatures appearing and sending her after a goose into a weird world where the door vanished after you entered? Pff, totally cool with her, THING! just wanted the goose to hug and pet and was going to follow it around till she found it. The fact that the world was interesting and cool didn't phase the tot as she ran along, dragging the nutbar and her large purple scarf behind her.

Luckily, however, the nutbar was NOT much in the brains department (what nutbar is?) and squealed happily, throwing up its arms and cheered as it was dragged by its tail across staircases and after a strange little goose. Because, well, this was fun! And for having plush feet, THING! ran pretty dang fast up and around the wild staircases.

For her part, THING! was actually pretty happy. This new world was NICE! Much more interesting than sitting around till Mommy and Lily woke up, and there was a GOOSE at the end of this! Plus, now she seemed to have made a friend by way of eyeball licking nutbarthing, so that was a plus too, right? With her trademark smile upon her face, THING! raced across stairs, halls and strange plot devices to chase after a goose with her new found friend, and loved every minute of it.

* - THING! is referred to as a female in this prompt because the Nutbarthing is also an it and that'd get confusing

Prompt 3:
Alright! So, uh, you're in this world, and this really loud, stupid creature is demanding that you help it. Wonderful...

After a while of exploring this world, your Nutbar points at the Wild Goose that had run into the world just before you did (hah, did you notice it?! I bet you didn't!), and demands that you chase and capture it. It's beak has something in it - it looks like a key! Geese aren't that easy to capture however, and this one proves to be no easier than the next. How long does it take to chase the Wild Goose? How did you end up catching it? Did it give up it's key easily, or did it make you fight it?

For clarity: This prompt ends when you retrieve the key from the Wild Goose.

Status:
Complete

Prompt Response:
* - in this prompt, THING! will be referred to as a male. This is so it can be distinguished from Trudy, the Nutbarthing which is also an it.

When we last left our brave Princ THING!, he was running after a goose dubbed Pleasance, dragging a nutbarthing called Trudy, and going around a world of stairs and colors and black holes. The world was Escher-esque in its first area, just tons of stairs, in checkerboard, with the light sections in pastel rainbows and the dark ones in dark hued rainbow, the mass of stairs floating above a great black hole, into which the staircase set was being slowly sucked.

While this setting was even too fabulous for Jareth the Goblin King, it was beautiful to young THING! but the beauty before him came second to catching the wild and elusive goose. Being behind the little kid as they ran, Trudy had absolutely no idea that its holder was still chasing the chosen goose, so the gray creature decided to remind THING! every now and again what they were after.

“Goafterthegooseynownownowyoumustgoaftergetitgetitgetit!” the nutbar would shout between flailings and squeals of joy at being dragged around by its tail, the tot holding it speeding along on plush feet, heading after Pleasance.

“I'll get it.” THING! would assure his companion, still calm and quiet despite running and being out of breath at times. The child hadn't even noticed the goose had a key at all, merely interested in petting the adorable creature.

Finally, the duo came to a doorway, Princ THING! expecting that to stop the goose, so he could corner and catch Pleasance. Sadly, there was a little doggy door that she managed to escape through, and he had to open the door to continue pursuing the bird.

The door opened up to a hallway full of doors, all of which opened when someone approached them. Pleasance ran into the door ahead and THING! vaguely noticed strange music starting to play as he sped after it, and found himself exiting through another door. As per usual, the tot was unphased by this and just kept chasing the goose as it ran away, Trudy attempting to sing along to the odd and squeaky pieces as they ran.

The last door they went through ended up actually leading to a room. A black and white kitchen, set in a fifties style, spread out before THING! and Trudy. Now, however, the little kid wore a somewhat too large brown suit and a fake mustache, Trudy had on a blonde wig, and Pleasance wore a bow around its neck. This would be of interest and amusement for THING! (especially the mustache) but the goose was finally caged in and it was time to catch it!

The kid released Trudy, sure the nutbar couldn't escape, and began to chase Pleasance around and under the kitchen table. The gray creature continued to bounce in the air and wail about how THING! had to catch that bird, but it didn't help one way or another. The whole business just ended up relying on THING! having a tad more energy than Pleasance and one really lucky dive.

He finally got his hands on the escaped fowl, clutching her to his chest and petting the squawking bird's head. However, when she made her noise of surprise at THING! apprehending her, a key fell from her mouth and into his lap, the little one ignoring the golden object as he sat and continued to pet the bird, Trudy cheering the whole time.

Prompt 4:
Alright! You have the key! That's totally awesome! Your Nutbar is now prattling on about something, either about a box or a popsicle, it's really hard to tell at this point, but in the end, you understand that the key opens a box, and that the Nutbar really, really wants a popsicle. Hey, at least you were mostly right the first time! Grudingly, the goose brings you to a room of boxes, and the Nutbar ever so proudly guards the doorway, preventing you from leaving until you have 'it'!

How many boxes do you try to open until you get one that does? What is inside? Is there something in it? Is is empty? Was this what the Nutbar was looking for? If it is, does it let you leave to go back home, or does the easily distracted creature need convincing? If it isn't what it was looking for, where do you end up finding it? Was there ever a 'thing' that it wanted to look for, or did this whole quest end up as a giant derailing in the Nutbar's quest to get a popsicle?

You eventually end up back home, where the previously paused time resumes once more.

What happens after you received the key from the previous prompt is entirely up to you. The above paragraph is just a bunch of suggestions, but feel free to toss your own in there to finish this...stupid little adventure! You are also now free to choose what the Nutbar was making you look for. If it even was looking for something. You never know with those things, they're remarkably stupid.

THE END.

Prompt Response:
* THING! is referred to as a female again here

Once she'd gotten the key from Pleasance – albeit by accident – Trudy began to babble about being hungry and could she pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasegogetfoodnowokay because the nutbar was unbelievably hungry and THING! was finding that she was too. The child stood up, finally letting the goose go and racing after it as the creature slowly waddled towards a cellar, showing them downstairs.

When they got down there, Pleasance vanished, leaving only Trudy and THING! in a room full of locked iceboxes. The golden key in her hand, the tot got the drift that she was meant to open one of these with the special key and wasn't allowed out till she had found what the nutbarthing was looking for. Maybe she could have some of the food in them if they didn't need it?

Shrugging, the tot opened the first fridge – nothing in there but some stale mayonnaise that even Trudy was looking awkwardly at. Nope, not that. Next there was a plate of fajitas, which the gray creature gobbled up before THING! could even ask about them and was informed that no, that was not it. She had to smack the creature away from the next box, which contained marshmallows, because those were HER'S to eat, not its.

After countless opened iceboxes and snacks, the pipe-cleaner-antlered tot finally opened one to reveal four popsicles, one labeled THING! and the rest labeled Trudy. She smiled, taking her's out and letting the nutbar dive at the rest, getting caught in the fridge as they did. Apparently, this was what THING! had been sent to search for, which Trudy babbled out after THING! helped pull it out. So after their popsicles, the little kid and the big gray thing headed out through a mysterious door and THING! found herself back in her living room just in time to watch her favorite infomercials.
