Prompt One:

Simple, Friendly, Direct: The dawn of a new day approaches. You are just getting out of bed...or are you? Take us through your day, just this one, particular day from morning to night. Are you an early riser? Do you sleep in? Go to work? School? What do you eat, if anything? Does something interesting happen? The content is up to you, but we want to see what happens on any given day, from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed.

Status: A Day In The Life Of... *FINISHED*

Prompt Two:

Oh, wow! Your day certainly seemed exciting! That's great! But...uhh...you seem to be forgetting something. I'm pretty sure this happened at some point in your day. How could you forget it? Remember, that Nutbar creature that just came up to you out of nowhere and demanded that you help it out? That stupid little creature who told you it didn't know where it needed to go, what it needed to get, but it sure as heck needed you to go there and get it for them? Remember, they opened that weird door out of thin air, pointed to a wild goose that appeared out of nowhere that ended up running through the door? The crazy Nutbar pushed you into the doorway too! The doorway closed once you were both on the other side! You came across a whole new strange world! How could you forget that?!

Oooh, I see, your memory of that incident is coming back! At what point in the day did it happen, again? When the nutbar opened that door to another world, what kind of world did the Nutbar make you run through, to chase after that wild goose? It's okay, memories are strange things. Just take it slow, and tell me when it happened, what you thought of it happening while it was happening, and what kind of world you ended up in. What it an alternate universe? Some crazy planet? Based on a video game (Pokemon? Persona 3 or 4? Dokapon Kingdom? .hack? World of Warcraft? Tetris?!)? Other Game (Candy Land, Clue, 13 Dead End Drive, Solitaire, Mahjong)? Book? What do you think of the world, and this crazy smoke creature that keeps licking it's own eyeball to try and think?

Status: Black and White, Strange Stairs, and Insect Lizards *FINISHED*

Prompt Three:

After a while of exploring this world, your Nutbar points at the Wild Goose that had run into the world just before you did (hah, did you notice it?! I bet you didn't!), and demands that you chase and capture it. It's beak has something in it - it looks like a key! Geese aren't that easy to capture however, and this one proves to be no easier than the next. How long does it take to chase the Wild Goose? How did you end up catching it? Did it give up it's key easily, or did it make you fight it?

For clarity: This prompt ends when you retrieve the key from the Wild Goose.

Status: Keys =/= Shiny *FINISHED*

A Day In The Life Of...

Manami was up at the crack of noon, always wanting to make sure that she got in plenty of beauty sleep, and as per usual it took the fox a bit of time to ooze out of bed. Even after she did she drug a blanket with her, half wrapped around her, as she made her way to where the mirror in her massive mess of a room was located. She let the blanket fall and her hands lifted up to rest against the glass and she yawned as her gaze locked with that of her reflection. She stood there starring at her reflection and she seemed to be in deep debate of something, what to do... what to do... what did she want to be today? Her ears turned forward and after a moment there were subtle changes that said Manami had gone from she to he.

He starred at himself a moment longer before his form changed again, cycling through what forms he had access to thus far. He could turn into Amano and Arlen almost flawlessly, Shizuko was a little different though he wouldn't admit to anyone that stealing his brother's form was still a work in progress. It was the wings! He was till trying perfect that feature... because Manami had no wings of his own he wasn't quite sure how they should look, how they should feel, how they should move. He would need to see about pouncing Shizuko soon to see about getting a good study of his little brother's wings he decided. Shizuko was a good boy, so laid back unlike Amano so he was certain that Shi would obey and allow him to get a peek at those wings for as long as he needed to truly understand the inner workings of them.

Once his form was decided upon, that of Arlen as he loved the way the claws clicked on the stone floors of the castle he and his family lived in, before he went digging around through various piles of clothing trying to find something perfect and that would work given the form that he was currently wearing. As he picked this up, debated, then threw them aside he found himself realizing that he hadn't attempted a female version of Arlen's form yet. He grinned in a manner that showed many sharp teeth before he set to chuckling at how amusing that could look. He found a pair of pants that should work, stepped into them in an super careful manner so as not to slice the pants up with his dangerous claws before he pulled them up, buttoned the front, buttoned the strap in the back that went over his tail, then abandoned his room to race off down the hallway.

Today's agenda was already written out, first thing was first, that was finding food! He was hungry for... well most anything really but whenever he was in this form he always felt the desire to eat fresh meat. He blamed Arlen since he'd studied his brother so much that he was starting to pick up some of his habits when he was in this form of his. He really did his best to really mimic them well, do what they did, ate what they ate, acted how they acted. The only one he had a hard time mimicking personality wise was Amano since he had no idea how his sister acted alone. He knew that Amano didn't like him, wouldn't obey as well as Shizuko did, she was hissy, bratty, and pouted a lot. He had no idea what she might be like on her own... he might need to see about trying to tail her in a more innocent form. Perhaps when he perfected his Shizuko he would be able to follow Amano better and learn her true mannerisms. Another idea filed away for later.

Manami, in the guise of Arlen, headed into the kitchen, crawled upon to the counter, and went clicking across it to the cabinet he was looking for and opened it up. Inside were cookies! He grabbed those before closing it again and jumped off the counter giving his best raptor growl before landing. He then went stalking across the kitchen in his best impression of a predator stalking prey as he approached the refrigerator, snarled at it, and then pulled it open to look inside. Grinning the raptor went digging around for meat. Once he found some of it he tossed it on top of the package of cookies and went over to the table, crawled up into the chair that Arlen usually occupied, and set to munching on his lunch.

Once the meal was done Manami abandon his raptor form so that he could head off in search of Shizuko. He wanted to catch up with his young brother, Manami was the self declared oldest of the trio after all, and he proceeded to spend the next few hours watching him, studying those wings, the way they moved, even went over to run his hands over them, petting the pretty decorative appendages. As far as he knew they were to small for flying with but at the same time they were a pretty decoration that he found himself a little envious but at the same time he did have three tails which neither of his other siblings had. It was hard work doing what Manami did, one needed an eye for detail to master the skill that he was working on. It had taken many days of tailing Arlen to get down the details of his form, many days of watching his siblings to memorize their markings, and now Manami was pretty confident that he was going to make wings the next time that he tried to take on Shizuko's form! It was exciting, that meant being able to tail Amano. Tailing Amano meant being able to better mimic her and being able to mimic her perfectly meant annoying her perfectly.

Life was indeed going to be complete once he was able to get his hands on these skills! Walking along down the hallway Manami moved along his form seemed to shift again as his body changed over from his own form to that of his blue colored sibling. He paused to looked himself over, grinning a bit as he looked at his long, pretty blue tail, spun around to try to get a look at his wings, then smirked, well it seemed that it was time to find and bother Amano! His tail was wagging wildly behind him as he sought out his grouchy sister... this should be excellent!

Black and White, Strange Stairs, and Insect Lizards

Mamami starred at the odd gray creature that seemed to be so ugly that it was almost cute and it was starring at at her with a single large green eye that seemed to be set in the the middle of its head. It had been going on for a few minutes now as though neither of them quite knew what to say to the other one. Just... starring. Then slowly the thing's mouth opened up, its tongue lolled out, and then it proceeded to lick its own eye in a manner that caused the kitsune's nose to wrinkle in abject horror and disgust, "That was gross!" She told it, hands lifting to rest on her hips before she stuck her tongue out at the thing.

It blinked slowly and then its mouth seemed to turn up into a rather goofy sort of smile, "Dafoxygirlwillhelpfindmylostshiny?" It asked its rather quick manner of speaking that left no room for a breath or even a small space between its words. It was a sentence that was crammed all into one single word and it had Manami's ears turning forward as she attempted to decipher to mess that it had just spoke. She was pretty sure that it was trying to tell her something important though as to what exactly it was she felt as though she were missing something, "H-Huh?"

"Dafoxygirlwillhelpfindmylostshiny?" It said again, seeming as though it were trying its hardest to slow down but the speed of the words remained the same to the fox's ears or perhaps the slightest touch slower. It was likely why she was able to figure out at least the final word of what the thing was saying to her. It was the most important of all of the rest of the jumbled mess though if you were to ask her.

"Wait, something shiny?" She had caught that part and she had to admit that it was likely because she was a fan of shiny things. Being that she was walking around in the female form of Manami at the moment she realized that she was allowed to not only like shiny things but to was able to get them for her own as well. Male Manami wasn't quite the same, he wouldn't take shiny things since they weren't for boys. Her trio of tails set to wagging and she gave a nod of her head, "Of course!" She chirped in a rather happy and now helpful manner, her tone a little nicer then when she'd told the gray thing that it was gross for licking its own eye.

It seemed to miss the fact that there was the change in the girl's personality going from disgusted to helpful before it turned to open up a portal for them to go through, "Lostdashinythinginhere." It said, motioning rapidly toward the portal with both hands, tongue lolling out, and instantly the kitsune girl was following along after the thing, not even for a moment considering that this might not be the best of ideas. She hadn't learned that very important lesson about how she wasn't supposed to follow strangers and the Nutbar were by far the strangest things ever... but since Tireu and Arlen weren't around to stop her she was off on her way to find shiny things with the weird, eye licker.

The other side of the portal was one of those things that seemed so weird, so abnormal, and so... off that it had Manami's fox eyes opening a touch wider to reveal her actual eyes for a moment and she could only stare as she looked around. After a moment they returned to their normal state as she inspected the place in detail. The world had become black, white, and gray only in color though oddly Manami herself retained her bright orange coloration and the gray... thing still had a green eye. That wasn't even the strangest part of this place though there were so many things about it that made it just plain weird that she didn't even know where to start.

There was the fact that the world she stood in was comprised mostly of stairs going in various directions, up down, to the side, sideways, upside down and went between a few pathways that connected some various doorways that she thought went outside. Her head cocked to one side and her ears twitched as she tried to figure out if the if she were upside down or right side up before her tail set to lashing. The make up of the world, another thing that was odd but still not the oddest thing going on here...

No, it was those... those... things! They looked as though they were six legged creatures that were a mix between some sort of insect and a lizard, they had hooked noses, large dark eyes, armored bodies, long tails, and it would appear as thought they were marking along down the stairs, along the pathways, and out the doors in single file, very neat lines.

Black and white world, weird stairs, and it was inhabited by insect lizards, "Heh, Manami likes this place!" She said, lifting her hands up to clap them together in utter delight. Oh yes, she was going to have fun in this place! It would appear for the moment Manami had forgotten all about why she and the 'so ugly it was cute' monster had come to this place.

Keys =/= Shiny

Those things were rather amusing Manami thought to herself, watching the way that they walked around in such a happy manner, shuffling up and down the stairs, keeping to their straight lines. That they didn't cut in line, didn't push, they were just happy to get in from one door, down the stairs, across the paths, and out another door. They were a lot different then Manami who was used to fighting to get her own way with basically any situation that arose. This seemed all to neat for her and she didn't much care for it...

"Therethereisdashiny!" The gray creature with the green eye said from where it was hovering next to Manami, reminding the fox girl that it was even there. She turned to look over at the gray... thing and starred at it for a long moment, seeming to be trying to figure out once more what the thing was talking about but caught the word 'shiny' just as a rather pudgy goose went racing by, bouncing across the insect lizards, seeming to be carrying a... key in its mouth?

The fox girl's tails set to lashing back and forth behind her as she starred at the goose with the key, "Wait... a second...?" She murmured, turning to give the gray creatures a long, angry sort of glare, "You pulled Manami here to find a shiny! Keys do not count as shiny, gray thing lied to Manami and that doesn't make her happy!" She lifted a hand up to give the Nutbar a bop on the head, causing it to shoot down to the ground where it proceeded to bounced off the stones steps and fly back up into the air as though it were made of rubber. Its reaction was one that helped in calming down the disgruntled kitsune as she found it rather amusing the way the creature bounced.

Her attention went back to the goose that seemed to be disrupting the other creatures, getting in their way, and basically causing them to get caught up as though in a many car pile up on a highway, "Poor critters, Manami does like them even if they are to calm for her tastes." They were cute which made her a little more biased toward them instead of the goose which was rather... plain by comparison. Not to mention she was annoyed with the thing for being so boring. She had been hoping for a huge treasure like what the pirates always had in the books she looked at and instead she found out that the gray creature seemed to think that a key counted as being a shiny treasure!

Well... sometimes keys opened locked things she found herself thinking, they opened doors, chests, safes, all sorts of things that treasures could be hidden in. So perhaps it would be worth pursuing? She turned to glance back to the Nutbar that was starring at her as though it might burst into tears at any moment, "Manami has decided that she will help you, if only to see that key unlocks." She told the gray thing before she started along, moving to trot down a stair case, finding herself amazed by how gravity didn't even seem to apply to his world. It made things far more interesting and made her wish that back home had stairs that worked magically like this.

The girl gave a squeak of surprise as she tripped over one of the insect lizards as it went shuffling passed her, sticking to the paths even as she tried to cut ahead, "What out, creature! Manami needs to catch that wild goose!" She scolded the creature. All of them paused and turned to look up at Manami at once, seeming as though they were all a little hive minded like bees were. Her ear gave a twitchy, tails going still, "Ahh... don't stare at Manami like that bug things!"

They starred longer, seeming almost confused by the presence of something in their world other then just the lot of them. They exchanged looks before they looked in the direction that the goose had raced of in, "Uh-oh... Manami think the goose in in trouble." She whispered to the gray thing that was still hovering around her. They followed the goose in a very specific manner, they never went backwards only forward, seeming almost to be herding the key stealing fowl along certain paths, nipping at it when they would get close enough to do so. They would disappear through one door, pop out another, down stairs, across a path, in another door, and back out... until suddenly they were coming out of the door near to where Manami was standing.

The fox gave a squeak of surprise as she spun around on the balls of her feet before she lunged, tackling the goose which caused it to started to honk, flail, flap, and otherwise kick up quite ruckus but the more important part was that it dropped the key. She released the goose so that she could grab it up and the lizard bugs proceeded to once more herd the thing around as though it were a fun game provided to them by the ones that had let the bird in. Manami smirked, turning around to hold up the key to show it off to the gray thing, "See! Manami is a genius!" That or she was just lucky. More likely the not the latter was true.

The Finale: Part One: A Timely Rescue

Manami turned around to look up at the gray thing that was hovering over her side and held up the key for it to see, smirking a bit, "Manami now has the key! She believes that we should go and get the treasure now!" She said, automatically assuming that this key was going to go to something because if they had only come to this world to watch a goose get chased around and win back a key she was going to be forced to pummel that gray thing more.

It starred at her for a long moment, not bothering to blink and instead let its tongue loll out, "Weneedstagetdaguidetowheredadooris." It said after a moment, mouth spreading open into a big, dumb, somewhat brainless sort of smile.

The fox blinked her eyes before they narrowed a bit, "Wait... what?" A guide?! They needed a guide now? Why hadn't that gray thing said something about that before they hunted down the key? She gave a little growling sound in her throat, ears laying back, tails lashing back and forth behind her.

It seemed to completely miss the fact that the fox girl was getting annoyed before it lifted one hand, "Daguidewentdatway." It said, giving a toothy grin as it pointed at the goose that was still fleeing, trying to escape from the many insect lizards that were hellbent on making it into a tasty meal. The moment that Manami realized who their guard was she gave a sound of anger and swung, smacking the Nutbar and set it flying in a high arc through the air before she went racing forward to try to catch up with the goose. She had been well and fine with letting the strange creatures eat the goose up until now because she knew that predators hunted their dinner in such a manner since both Tireu and Arlen did exactly that.

Said goose was racing along ahead minus a few mouthfuls of tail feathers as he tried to get himself away from the hungry creatures that were chasing it. The avian was pretty well certain that it was going to get eaten because it had no where to escape to, all the paths led to doors, all the doors led to back into the house of stairs, and inside of that house was swarming with those lizard creatures that wanted to eat it. It was pretty well sure that it was going to die! It was no fair, it was to young and pretty to die!

The goose looked passed the critters that were following it and saw the fox girl that was following as well but she didn't have a hungry look on her face, instead it seemed to be a determined look. The good didn't know if it should trust her since she had stolen the key that it had been carrying after all but... now she was the only thing here aside from that Nutbar that wasn't trying to eat her. As much as the goose didn't like it the fox was its best chance for survival. Talk about a rock and a hard place...

It gave a loud honking sound as it tried to take to the air, not something it was very good at due to its weight. The bird fluttered, flapped, and panted as though it were dying from the strain of keeping itself up in the air as it flew over the tops of the insect lizards that were pursuing it and to Manami who was quite startled when the fat bird crashed into her.

"Augh! Stupid bird! No crashing into Manami!" She said, looking as though she were a half step from strangling the thing when she realized that the group of critters had turned on her, seeing her holding the goose. Her body froze in place and she held tightly to the bird as she got charged... and a moment before they pounced the two of them along with the Nutbar who'd recovered from being pummeled all vanished through another portal...

Only to arrive in front of a large, shiny door...

The Finale: Part Two: The Treasure Within!

The door before them was massive, it had to stand at least ten feet tall and was just as wide, it glittered in the light that fell down upon it and it had her starring, mouth hanging open. This was it! This had to be it! She dropped the goose which gave a rather grumble honk sound as it landed before turning to glare up at the girl, a glare she was ignoring before she turned her attention to the Nutbar, "Now what?" She asked, the Nutbar had told her that the goose was supposed to be their guide... so it needed to start to guide them! She looked down at the bird before lifting a foot to nudge it, "Get to being a tour guide you bird! She is getting tired and she wants to go home soon!"

The goose gave a honk sound before it looked up at the Nutbar that was just starring at it dumbly before it set to walking again, its webbed feet smacking against the floor as it went, as though it were trying to stomp its feet in indignation. The fox girl merely shrugged before following along after, giving a sigh as she went. She didn't know where they were going or now long it was going to take but she was determined to see it through to the end, to get her hands on the shiny thing, and then be on her way home!

About five feet forward the group came to a halt within arms reach of the door and she blinked, starring at the door, looked to the goose, then to the gray thing, "Huh?"

The Nutbar's mouth spread into a wide smile, "Seetourguidebroughtustodashiny!" It said, clapping its hands together in delight.

Manami was pretty sure that she was getting the first migraine of her life in this moment, "Guide... it didn't... it didn't guide! We walked five feet foward!" She raged, ears laying back.

"Butdabirdyleddawaywastheguidedawholetime." It said, shaking its head as though it thought that Manami had missed that when it was so important. The Nutbar turned to stare at the door, its tongue lolling out once more in a dumb manner before pointing, "Openopenopenopendadoor!" It said in a sing song voice.

The fox girl lifted her hands to rub the heels of her hands against her eyes, growling as she did so. She was getting very, very frustrated now. Even Amano on her worst day wasn't as annoying as that gray thing was! At least it appeared as though they were at the end of this trip. She only had to open the door with the key she had found and the treasure would at last be hers. She stepped forward, slid the key into the lock and turned it. There was a little grinding sound as though the lock hadn't been open for a very long time and she set to pulling it open with the help of the Nutbar and the goose before they starred at the close of a room that was behind it.

"What the...?" Manami rounded on the Nutbar that was laughing as though it were the most amusing thing in the world what was behind the door, "What? What! What are you laughing at stupid gray thing!?"

It stopped for a moment, tongue lolling out, its ever vacant eyed stare on her before it pointed, "Wasjokesofunny!" It said, before there was another round of giggles, "HesaidbehindshinydoorwassamethingasinNutbarhead." It said, lifting a hand before another portal sprang to life underneath Manami's feet.

"What... WHAT?!" She shrieked, "BUT THERE'S NOTHING IN THERE!" She yelled, apparently not understanding the joke of sorts as the portal swallowed her up.

It deposited her back home, back in the hallway she'd been when she was taken, the same place, same time, as though it had never happened... the nothing that indicated that it had was the overwhelming headache she had and the need to nap. She swore then if she ever saw another of those gray things again she was going to kill it!
