The sun was shining high by now, and the morning fog had long since left the area. Tiki, a young hyena, stretched his back out. He was training, now, as a hunter for his pack.
He wanted to be a damn good one at that. Bright orange eyes dazzles under the sky's light. He wondered about his mother's new litter. None had the orange or green markings his litter mates had.
Perhaps markings from one of his parent's parents. They weren't here, so he would never know. Not that it mattered. The adorable young ones came as a surprise to him. The were all a pretty white color like their mother.
He smiled. This new litter was a fine addition so far.

One cub of a snowy pelt frowned, skulking about with his belly closer to the ground then needed. He had a small frown on his face, and he moved in the shadows.
They were heavily cast now, due to the high sun. He sighed. Nothing happened yet - a relief to him. His previous days were filled with scary things and he would trip, fall, and end up in the oddest places.
Usually someone was their to help him, but he feared the day it wouldn't happen. Ruby eyes scanned the grounds again, and he moved forward with a careful and watchful gaze, determined nothing would happen today.

There was his younger sibling now, Tiki thought. He flipped his bangs out of his eyes elegantly and stood with far more grace then the white pup that was skulking about.
It was Makorowezo, he noted. the cub was two-toned, his markings flipped on each side. He was nearly symmetric. He wasn an interesting looking pup, if he said so himself.
The things that happened around the poor boy, though - Tiki shook his head again and made his way towards his brother.
