Just a sketch atm, but wanna fix the anatomy before I do anything with it.
I know it's super wonky right now, something about her lower half is... off D: But of course its hard to tell what's wrong with your own drawing, so any critiquing or redlining would be much appreciated :>

That sketch could make for an interesting composition indeed! Look forward to see what your doing with it.
There are a couple things that possibly seem off: I think her torso may be a little short, but it could just be the angle making it seem awkward. Her left arm (viewer's right) also seems to be missing an elbow.
The girl's face and pose is very active and expressive; reminds me a bit of a mermaid swimming through the depths just daring someone to chase her.

I agree, this picture has promise! xd I really like how you did the hair, the most.
I just wanted to also point out that (to our right) the arm for one has no joint (already been said sweatdrop ) Also, both arms appear to be too short. Every thing else I noticed has already been said so I'll shut my mouth.
