Gabriel was sitting in lessons, completely and utterly bored as she took down notes on the same stuff she had already heard before. Shards, I'm going to fall asleep here this is so dull, she thought to herself, fighting back a yawn so as not to earn a glare from the instructor. ... I need to do something to keep me awake. To her right sat Farellen, and then to his right sat another teen to whom she hadn't really spoken before. Sailin, wasn't it? Something like that. You know what? These notes are too dull. Let's write a different kind of note now. Grabbing out an extra hide when the instructor wasn't looking, the young teen wrote a quick note on it and passed it over to the boys on her right. Hi! ^_^ This is just too boring, isn't it? Feel like chattin?

The faint sounds of a note being scratched made Salin perk up from his half comatose stare as he listened to the instructor drone on. He hadn't even been bothering to write anything down, because he'd heard it all before at least once, but it was the subtle gesture of passing a note toward Farellen that really caught his attention, and he stretched slowly as an excuse to sit up straighter and try and read it out of the corner of his eyes.

Farellen had to stifle a yawn, *shards we've BEEN over all this* he thought, faint scratching sounds could be heard all around the room as bored students doodled, while the dilligent ones took notes to read later. He snapped out of his daydream when Gabriel passed a note over to him, he smiled, read it and scribbled something else down.
Boring as deadglows, want to meet up later?
It was then he noticed Salin peering over, though he quickly had to cover it over with his arm, as the tutor looked over towards them, he smiled and nodded as if he'd been listening, which seemed enough to appease the tutor for the time being. He passed to note over to Salin, giving Gabriel a slight nod.

Salin palmed the note as carefully as possible, doing an impressive mimicry of interest before he turned his attention to responding to the note, scribbling in a quick, flamboyant scrawl: Could recite this from memory. Will join you if thats alright? He paused again and then leaned over to hand it back, gesturing with his writing instrument as though he were sharing an important detail.

Gabriel was hard-pressed to keep from grinning and giving away their deed. She didn't at all mind when the third person joined in the written conversation. In fact, she found it just made things all the more dangerous and interesting. She waited patiently for the note to be passed back to her, and looked it over quickly before writing down some more 'notes' for the lesson on her other hide. Switching back again, she wrote, Meeting up sounds fun, and of course you can join in the convo! Your name's Sailin, right? Sorry if I got it wrong. So, you two wanna go do something fun later on? She passed the note back Farellen's way when the coast was clear.

Farellen grinned and stared at the tutor, he slyly showed the note back to Salin before replying himself.
Sure, where do you want to meet?
Strugling to contain the highly amused smile from his face he hoped they wouldn't get caught. He did NOT want to get into trouble again so soon after the last time, the sunburn on his back still smarted, and he grinned cheekily at Salin.

Salin fought to cover his own smile, winking at Farellen as he toyed with a few of his braids, some of which were streaked with a faint tinge of purple where he'd tied a purple cloth around them while they were wet. ((Apparently the die hadn't held quite as well he had hoped, but then again thats what he got for going for the cheapest purple cloth he could find.))
He shrugged very slightly, debating where might be a good place to go meet up. Clearly Farellen needed a break from the sunshine, so someplace shady obviously, though if they got too close to the tree line he'd be a bit worried about Felines. Hmmm. This was a tough one.

Gabriel snagged back the note from her neighbor to write down a suggestion.
Think if we go to the stables we might be able to snag a ride from some of the runners? Or would you two prefer to do something indoors?
She didn't really know about Farellen's sunburn, but she thought it might be helpful to make multiple suggestions. She had to wait a minute or so before passing the note back though.

Farellen held his breath as he noticed the tutor turn and almost look at gabriel scribling down, luckily he'd turned to another boy, and was checking his notes it seemed, swiftly he grabbed the note back off Gabriel, he grinned.
Hey that sounds great! what about you Salin?
He scribbled, then slyly passed the note to the other, suddenly quite please he was between the two of them, ((you could just imagine the image in his head of a Gabriel on one arm, Salin hanging off the other)) Goofy grin on his face as he waited for Salin to reply so he could pass the note over to Gabriel

Salin tapped the ends of one of his braids on his lower lip, apparently a thoughtful sort of fidget, and waited a few beats, trying to make sure the note was hidden by his arm until he was ready to reply.
Yeah, sounds fun! He scribbled back, trying to sneakily pass it back along the linked chain.
It was rather exciting, in a sort of 'please don't catch us and put us on numb-weed duty' sort of way. Thrilling because it was sort of a 'harmless' version of rule breaking.

It really was rather exciting in an odd sort of way. They weren't doing anything really wrong other than simply not paying attention in class, yet they still had quite a bit of potential for trouble if caught. And they had nearly gotten caught on several occasions now. Gabriel was pleased to read the replies from the two boys. It had seemed like forever since she last rode on runnerback. Looks like we have ourselves a plan then. So, either of you done or heard anything exciting lately?

Farellen read the note and shrugged, then winced, smiling sheepishly towards Salin, he scribbled away
went for a swim with Salin, spent too long in the sun
he wrote, gesturing to his shoulders, they'd gotten told off that day, for being late, and to be honest, he blamed himself for getting Salin into trouble, since it had been his fault for taking so long over... everything, shards, he'd been told enough times that he was a bit of a bore when it came to his general neatness obsession. Passing the note to Salin before getting ready to pass it back over to Gabriel with both their answers on it.

Salin flashed an brief grin, considering making a joke, and decided better of it, writing instead... Found out one my scarves still hasn't dye set properly...purple hair! and talked briefly to one of the brownriders. Transferred V'tur. Don't think he likes me. Odd sort.
He shrugged faintly before he handed the note back across. He wasn't exactly sure any of it was truly interesting gossip but it was the best he had offhand.

Gabriel had to fight back a laugh at reading the response, lest their note-writing be given away. She had wondered about the purple in his hair. Ah, so that's what the purple hair is about. And here I thought you were simply making a fashion statement. She grinned as she wrote. I don't think I've seen V'tur. Or if I have I didn't know who he was.
How bad is your sunburn, Farellen?

Farellen stretched, these desks were so annoying to sit in at length, and it seemed like this class was dragging on forever, quickly he palmed the note Gabriel gave.
it's not too bad now. I agreee with Gabriel, Salin, purple is SO your colour.
He made no mention of the Brownrider since he had not much experience just chatting to riders, usually he fetched things for them, according to chores.
i wonder if we're to meet dragonriders, to know what to expect
He added at the end before passing it over to Salin.
