Spade yawned leisurely and stretched into a wide arc. The orange tabby tom bounced only the edge of his housefolk's fence, smiling here and there at the sunshine before leaping down onto the ground. He then began to groom his messy fur.

Tigerlily came out of the door that was on the side of her Housefolk's nest. She streached and climbed up onto the fence that circled her garden. She scanned all the nearby houses and saw Spade sitting and grooming himseld. Tigerlily purred and hopped down, padding over to him. "Good day, Spade. Wonderful day, isn't it?" Tigerlily smiled and closed her eyes, sitting back on her haunches and lifting her head to the sky to take in the sunlight.

Spade looked up to see Tigerlily greet him.
"Yes, a very nice day indeed, Tigerlily. Have your Twolegs been treating you well?" he greeted, and returned a question to his neighbor. The orange tabby yawned once more before stretching in the warm sunlight that he was bathed in. Smiling, the tom looked the white-and-orange fellow kittypet up and down before smiling once more.

Tigerlily purred and nodded, eyes gleaming. "They are very kind to me." She glanced at the forest. "But sometimes...I want to explore more. Meet new cats." Her eyes widened and she quickly turned back to Spade. "Not that I don't like talking to you! You're a very good friend. But...I need a little adventure, you know?"

Purring in amusement at his friend, he nodded in understanding.
"A couple of other cats and I ventured out there not too long ago. Very peaceful. Freshly caught mouse tastes delicious. No other taste like it!" he informed Tigerlily, his eyes drifting into happiness at the thought of the first mouse he had ever caught out in the Loner and Rogue Territory. He shook his head.
"Don't go out there alone, anyway," he warned the she~cat. "Roguescan get aggressive about their territory down in the forest."

Tigerlily narrowed her eyes challengingly. "You don't think I could defend myself from a bunch of rouges and loners? I'm not helpless. Jaguar taught me how to fight." Jaguar was Tigerlily's brother who had left his kittypet life to become a loner. He said he perfered it, and Tigerlily sometimes visited him whenever he was staying in the area.
[ooc] I'm going to make a profile for Jaguar...in a few minutes. Maybe.

The tom's fur ruffled in frustration.
"Did I say you couldn't defend yourself? Even any cat who went out there alone would come back dead!" it wasn't like Spade to lose his temper with a cat, especially a she~cat. But he was low on patience today, and his buttons had been pressed. He ducked his head in embarrassment and murmured a quiet, "Sorry," to Tigerlily.

Buck looked amused as he saw the two cats talking. He slowly padded down the steps and jumped over his fence, and landed by Spade. "Hello," he meowed.

Jay streaked out of the open cat-flap and jumped upon the fence, the breeze ruffling her fur. She looked to the ground below and jumped, landing hard on her gray paws. She crouched and began to stalk forward, rump in the air. The scent of mouse reached her nose, and she flung herself into a bush.
A yowl came from the bush, and she trotted out with a mouse in her jaws. She flung it into the air, and it hit the ground with a dull thunk. She looked around and spotted a few other cats: Buck, Tigerlily and... Spade. Her heart skipped a beat and she picked up the mouse, dashing to the cats. "Guys! I caught a mouse!" she called through a mouth-full of fur.
{It was pure luck that she caught the mouse.}

"Ah, very good," Buck said as he turned around. He slowly trotted to the cat and smiled. "I used to want to catch prey, but..." his voiced trailed off. "I left the place where prey was plentiful." He then turned and walked back as Jay raced ahead of him.
Smoky paused to sniff the air as he stood on his housefolk's house's roof. He had gotten up here from the highest window, and had just climbed down. He then looked as he saw four cats gather close by.

Spade turned to hear Buck, and he mewed, "Morning, Buck!" to the orange tom before turning to see Jay bound towards them, holding a mouse in her jaws.
"Wow, Jay! Great job! Is that your first mouse?" he called, padding towards the she~cat to see the mouse she had caught. It had always amused the orange tabby tom to see other kittypets like him catch mice, and look so giddy and happy. Tigerlily was not far away, and he called for the she~cat to come over here and join the group.

Jay nodded proudly and set the mouse at his feet."My very first mouse, ever! And... I-I want you to have it, Spade..." she mewed shyly, shuffling her paws. She looked up at him with her shy green eyes and drew a hesitant smile across her muzzle.

Spade listened to Jay, nodding and meowing a, "Good job!" to her. But what surprised him was when the other fellow kittypet wanted him to have it.
"M-Me?" he asked in awe. "Are you sure? I-I mean, I'm flattered, but it is your first mouse. . ." the orange tabby tom told the she~cat. The kittypet would hate to eat the mouse when it was Jay's first mouse ever.

Jay nodded vigorously. "I know, but, still..." She shrugged nimbly, looking at her paws.
