It's so weird, I feel like I'm eating about the same as I was, but I'm still only coming up to about 1200 calories by dinner. D: I've been aiming for 1400-1600, since I'm pretty inactive during summer...but I feel like I'm eating too much. Really, the biggest difference is that I'm measuring everything, so snacking takes more effort, resulting in me doing it less.
So yeah. I figure since I haven't been exercising much, the least I can do is watch what I eat over the summer.
Also it's been weird, since the first day (Saturday) I was like OMG HUNGRY almost all day, but since then I haven't been super hungry, except first thing in the morning and right before I go to bed.

When you first count calories, subconsciously you eat less than you normally do. Its a proven fact. But eventually when you get used to it you will begin to eat normally while making better choices. smile When I first started counting calories, I'm like "why am I only eating 700 calories a day." Then I eventually got up to 1,100.

That's pretty interesting. o: I also think part of it is that now when I eat, I only want to eat things that I can easily figure out the calorie content for.

Haha exactly! Like, "okay so 1/3 of this pizza has 300 calories...but it's cut into 8 slices, ******** that."

I had to count calories for a week when I was in high school for a class. It ******** sucked. I don't do it any more.

If I had to actually look at how many calories are in the s**t I eat then I probably wouldn't be eating much either.
