Here we have six different contests to enter, one for each color. The prize is a ticket to that color's raffle. When I was in high school, I had a knee surgery, and I was on crutches for a VERY long period of time. k this seems weird but i'm scared of stoves. once when I was younger my mom was cooking something. when I got near the stove suddenly blew up in flames and a flame got on my shirt. lucky for me there was a pot of water nearby and I just poured it all over me A S Y L U M - E R R O R EEEEEEEEEK!
I am scared of TV screens at night. I was watching 'The Ring' with a friend one night. I was so scared and after the movie we just sat there and talked. We left to go upstairs and the TV turned on by itself. There was only static like in the movie. We went to shut it off but it shut itself off. Then when we walked away again it turned on to static. It's not what I'm most scared of, but my only rational fear: The Brown Recluse Spider. Its bite causes advanced necrosis of the flesh, which means that basically the skin starts rotting off the bite site. These are real spiders, and what scares me most about them is that they look totally innocuous; they resemble a local spider I have in my hometown, so I'm scared that should I find one, I won't know what it is. On their own, obviously, puppets and dolls aren't really frightening. When I was very young my parents watched a lot of horror movies and thought nothing of their daughter "enjoying" the horror films with them. Most of the ones they ended up watching were ones where puppets/dolls came to life and murdered people. I can't look at puppets now. >A> Depawsit EEEEEEEEEK!
SNAKES D: I've always had an unhealthy fear of them, but I think the thing that horrified me most about them was when my younger sister chased me around our yard with one when we were younger. - Shudders - SylverStar EEEEEEEEEK! Another wish would be to find all the lost pets homes so they would not fade away in darkness feeling lonely. I have a soft spot for animals and kids younger then ten. I was so embarrassed when...It was junior high, seventh grade. Already an awkward time of someone's life, but it didn't make it any better that I was a bookworm and generally rather odd. I had friends, of course... but we were, as a whole, considered the weird ones. We didn't really date, or wear makeup, or have purses, or go to parties. Most of us drew, played music, or volunteered in the library at lunch.
All of those little details should add up to explain that prior to this event, I was not exactly a class favourite, but at least I was under the radar. Nobody really knew us apart from that we were strange. In P.E. class I suffered through the less fun sports, and enjoyed sprinting and basketball. Those things were easy. One semester, though, they decided that they would start a wrestling unit. They also decided that for this unit, they would mix my girls' gym class together with the boys' one.
One day in the unit, near the end, we played a wrestling "game" where a very large, weighted ball covered in soft, old leather was placed at the center of about 5 gym mats which nearly spanned the width of the gym. All my classmates were instructed to sit around the mats, and watch the "sparring"; two people were called up at a time by the teacher to try and push the ball to their respective end of the gym, down the mats. I got placed with one of the manliest, most aggressive girls in the whole class. Somehow, though, I managed to get the ball from her and I booked it straight across the mats. I was in the home stretch, when she did something kind of impulsive.
In front of two complete gym classes, she pulled my pants down. But I was not going to be dissuaded this far from the finish, no. I crawled the rest of the way down, won, and THEN pulled my sweatpants back up. She was red as anything, and I must have been too, retreating back to my seat. The teacher excused me to get water.
What makes this even worse is that at the end, one of the "popular boys" came up to me in the halls and said, "I didn't know you wear thongs." It was definitely an FML moment.
