MexicoCreator:
PokimonchiName: Manuel (Manny) Antonio Sanchez
Gender: Male
Birthday: September 16
Age: 19 years old
Height: 5'7"
Appearance: Mexico has tanned skin and he's not a very muscular guy. He's pretty thin. He has black hair that passes his ears and almost reaches his shoulders.
Almost. If you stare hard enough, a few strands of hair curl on the right side, much like an idiot hair. His eyes are dark brown and he is usually smiling. His standard outfit is a dark beige/light brown shirt with long sleeves with matching pants and black boots. He wears a bullet belt like a strap diagonally across his torso. He also has a red bandanna around his neck and the typical sombrero. He has two of these: one that has a strap so it can hang from his back (the strap goes around his neck) and one without said strap. He also wears fingerless gloves and can usually be seen with either a taco, a burrito, tequila, or a churro. Sometimes you can see him with chilies, which he eats raw for some reason.
A funny young man who loves to have a good time. He likes spicy food, tacos, and drinking tequila. He has a pet female chihuahua named Conchita and a few horses since he lives in a ranch-like residence. When visiting America he likes to use Spanglish but when around his siblings he just speaks Spanish. Mexico doesn't really understand the concept of Halloween, so in place of that he celebrates Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with his people instead, a holiday in early November honoring those loved ones that have passed away. Though he is a hard worker, he can get pretty lazy especially after eating heavy meals. He is paranoid of the Chupacabra and is afraid to let his goats outside once it gets dark, so he makes sure they're inside the stables with the horses. He likes to play baseball and soccer with his siblings and a few other nations such as Italy and Japan. Mexico has the habit of calling older nations "senor" or "senora" as a sign of respect, except America since he isn't too fond of him, and the Italy brothers since they tend to act childish. At times Mexico can have a foul mouth especially when he gets drunk, and he tends to have a short temper. He curses in Spanish so those who don't speak the language can't understand him. He can also be very prideful and stubborn. Mexico dislikes the corrupt government in his country, so at times when he's alone, he gets depressed about it, as well as the kidnappings of tourists from his neighboring country to the north that hurts his economy since less and less people are coming to visit his home. Nevertheless, he remains determined, or that could just be his stubbornness talking. The only reason his middle name is "Antonio" is because Spain raised him since he was young after his mother passed away, though Mexico refused to be named after him, which is why his first name is "Manuel" or "Manny" for short.
R1 - America: His neighbor to the north whose history with Mexico hasn't exactly been very friendly. Mexico holds a grudge against him ever since America took California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and New Mexico from him. He does however appreciate America's assistance in the fight against drug wars. Mexico sometimes sneaks into America's house when he isn't home, which usually infuriates the latter when he returns, though he is won over when Mexico offers him Mexican sweets such as flan and pan dulce. Sometimes when America is furious with Mexico always sneaking into his house, Mexico always tells him that the reason why he does it is because he wants to escape his corrupt government back home for a while, making the blonde feel a bit bad for him. America also has taken a liking to pinatas and Mexico's parties during the year. Basically, they have a love/hate relationship. Mexico calls him "El gringo tonto" which loosely translates to "The dumb blonde" in Spanish.
R2 - Japan: Mexico and Japan have a very good relationship, often doing a lot of business with each other. Mexico is very friendly with him and likes to have him over a lot, taking him to various tourist attractions, such as ruins and beaches. He enjoys playing baseball with him though gets a bit upset when he asks if America can play with them too. In a way, he gets jealous when America spends time with Japan and vice versa: America gets jealous when Mexico spends too much time with the small island nation. Out of affection, Mexico calls Japan "El Japonesito lindo" translating to "The cute little Japanese."
R3 - Spain: He hates Spain more than he hates America, the main reason being that Spain was the cause for his mother's death, The Aztec Empire. She was a very exotic and beautiful woman that was very loving to Mexico, so when she died, there was a hole in his heart that was never filled, thus creating a hate for Spain instead. After gaining independence from Spain, he did his best to help his nation, though he was struggling a bit since he no longer had aid. Spain tries to be more affectionate towards him now, but Mexico refuses to become friendly with him. He doesn't get along with Romano either, and the latter to this day competes with him (secretly) for Spain's affection since Romano notices how much Spain wants Mexico to let bygones be bygones. However, Mexico will not tolerate a bully, which is why he refuses to let it go.
R4 - Cuba: These two had a very good relationship in the past, but because of some of their political figures, they have drifted apart. The two share a dislike for America, except Mexico's isn't as severe as Cuba's. At one point, Mexico almost aided Cuba during the Cold War, though he didn't want to break the small ties he had with America. Even though Mexico and Cuba have had a lot of troubles in the past, the two have reconciled and are starting to become closer once again. Mexico views Cuba as a big brother figure or as an uncle.
R5 - China: In recent years, these two have had an intense rivalry on the U.S. market. Though Mexico dislikes America at times, that doesn't mean he wants to avoid all contact with him, especially when it comes to trade and imports/exports. Though this rivalry still exists, the two have agreed to also do business with each other, which in a way, tempers this rivalry concerning America. In recent times, when Mexico was ill, China was hesitant to travel to visit him since he didn't want to get sick either.
R6 - England: Unlike the rest of the world, Mexico doesn't harbor too many ill feelings toward England. He was a bully towards him in his younger days, but eventually that died down. England was the first to recognize that Mexico was successful in finally separating himself from Spain's strict rule, and he even tried to persuade his other European neighbors of Mexico's existence as an independent country. He owes England money and things such as oil has created a bit of distance between them, though England does wish to strengthen their friendship in modern times.
R7 - France: Mexico considers him to be a bit of a bully especially since he forced Mexico to pay him for something he couldn't even prove, up to the point where he prevented Mexico from trade overseas. With some convincing from England, Mexico decided to just go ahead and pay France, though he's never going to forget it. Mexico has owed both France and England money, though England took his word for it when he said that he'd pay him back when he could afford it, though France wasn't as lenient with him. Despite this, France does praise Mexico from time to time, and views him as a courageous young man, making Mexico feel very content.
R8 - Italy: He's friendly with the younger Italian brother, though didn't get to talk to him much during World War II. Afterward, they were able to speak again. He aids Italy at times when he needs it (which is a relief to Germany) and Italy occasionally comes to visit him. They play soccer together when Germany coincidentally disappears from Italy's sight.
R9 - Germany: Mexico had felt like Germany only used him and didn't actually want to become friends. Germany once asked him if he wanted to side with him during WW2, promising that he'd help Mexico reclaim Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico from America, but Mexico refused to do so, deciding not to take anyone's side at all. Though he did want to regain those territories that were now America's, he didn't want to have to fight him in a such a manner, especially during a severe time like that. Mexico however put his foot down when the Axis Powers attacked him even though he said he wasn't picking a side. Naturally, he took America's side after all and helped him with the war. Mexico loves Germany's cars and their relationship has steadily grown in a more positive manner in recent times. Germany visits him occasionally.
R10 - Russia: While the whole world is afraid of him, Mexico is one brave soul (or a really dumb one) who doesn't seem to be as scared of him as other nations. He is actually one of the few who has friendly ties with him. Russia at one point lived with Mexico for a while which didn't bother the latter at all, though it did cause paranoia for America since Russia was closer to his home now. Mexico merely laughed it off, teasing America about how he's supposed to be brave yet he's wetting himself over Russia vacationing with Mexico.
R11 - Canada: At first they weren't really close, but the more they spent time with each other, the friendlier they became. Now the two are very good friends and often work together to endure America's overbearing personality. Both of them go to visit Cuba whenever they get the chance and because Mexico has been around America for so long, he can tell the difference between him and Canada, much to the latter's relief, since Cuba forgets which one is Canada and which one is America from time to time. The two talk about serious matters dealing with their countries, but also like to visit each others' homes when they're not busy.
